Wow, what an old and obscure reference to the movie Hackers...

Angelia Jolie and a bunch of other teenage hackers defeat an evil hacker overlord by "hacking the Gibson" which is a supercomputer programmed to unleash a virus that will capsize oil tankers around the world. The Gibson was a "supercomputer" which, by the way, was large enough to ride a skateboard through and had terminals the size of a mini metropolis with green/black data flashing up and down the the sides.

I've encountered several people that get bugged on this stage of the quest.

I've submitted a ticket about it, but I expect to hear the same response I was given yesterday "We're looking into it"

It's funny because you actually "HACK" at the Wibson with an axe/polearm thing... no computer knowledge necessary :)

You are supposed to turn this in at the fusion core that appears a few feet from the "hacking". The fusion core is where it's intended to turn in at, but if deathwing has been around, it bugs out and u cannot interact with it.

I discovered this and a couple hours later the realm had a rolling restart. I flew back to this and was able to interact properly with the fusion core.

Once you turn this quest in, you are able to pickup a new quest called Gnomebliteration, and it's pretty fun lol... definatly worth the trouble to keep this quest and turn in after a realm reset.

When I accepted this quest, it seriously made me laugh. I laughed harder when you actually started 'hacking' the wibson.

There is a tool box by the Wibson Mainframe Click it and then click the Wibson. I had to log out and log back in to get the tool box work.

If you have trouble looting the tool box relog. It just worked for me.

What happens if you can't interaction with fusion core. Does it only have 1% health to everyone else?

77.63 where the Fusion Core is (the big yellow ball on top of the submarine-whatchamacallit thing). Face the fusion Core, turn around 180 deg and a few yards in front of you, you will see a toolbox and the mainframe (looks like a mail box). click on the toolbox and then click on the "mainframe".

Turn quest in at the Core.

Can't turn in quest the fusion core is at 1/6141 HP and no ? to turn in. i think is bug.

After getting the axe, right click the MOLL-E thing next to the toolbox. That's how you do it. Discovered it on accident.

To add to the ever increasing list of Blizzard references to real life, as of today, the text as you complete this quest on the Fusion Core says:

"Let us hope that floating-point error got worked out during my last maintenance cycle"

Given the "amateurish state" of computer design in the WoW universe, it's not hard to draw a similarity with a certain Pentium bug (for us old farts) and this reference. +1 to Blizz for poking fun at Intel. ;)

Is it just me, or does the entire M.A.C. Diver ship look strikingly like the airship Megaman uses, particularly in Megaman Legends?

If Deathwing lights the thing on fire and ruins it for you (like he did for me), wait until the flames go out and relog, and the axe will spawn correctly.

One more thing: the toolbox AND the Wibson are both on top of the ~~sandcrawler~~ M.A.C. there is a tent next to the M.A.C. with two tool boxes, dont make my mistake and expect the polearm to spawn there, those are merely graphical.
