Blizz now gets it, People in WoW dont give a damn about NPCs, we just want our dailies complete and loot/money in our pockets.

You can find the fish in the barrels near NPC fisherman along the canals throughout Stormwind, or you can try your luck at fishing them up. The areas you can find them show up on the map. Find five and return to the quest giver.

If you are maxed out, you don't get the skill point, of course. Those of you at 450/450 cooking will not get the skill point on this quest.

Fished up or stolen from barrels at the various docks around Stormwind.

The barrels spawn at the following locations:
1. West of the Trade District (55, 69).
2. East of the Trade District (69, 65).
3. East of the Cathedral District (63, 51).
4. West of the Cathedral District (47, 58).
5. Northeast of the Cathedral District (56, 42).
6. Southeast part of the Dwarven District (69, 41).
7. Southeast of the Dwarven District (71, 44).
8. Northeast corner of Old Town (74, 50).
9. Southeast corner of Old Town (80, 59).
10. Olivia's Pond, north of the Dwarven District (72, 23).
11. West side of the Island in Olivia's Pond, north of the Dwarven District (62, 16).
12. North of Olivia's Pond, north of the Dwarven District (70, 11).
13. In the southern part of Stormwind Harbor, north of the ship to Auberdine, Kalimdor (26, 47).
14. In the northern part of Stormwind Harbor, north of the ship to Valiance Keep, Northrend (26, 20).

I sat next to a Stormwind Fisherman and waited for barrels to spawn while I fished. I started out at 2 skill and caught a Gigantic Catfish along with a Raw Bristle Whisker Catfish at skill 29. I got the last fish I needed at skill 38. The barrel on the dock I was fishing from respawned after 6 minutes. Not sure if thats a set time or not.

I found it faster to fish them from the Canals, although the barrels are spawned beside NPC fisherman.

The barrels are on a really long respawn timer. It is definitely faster to fish them up.

I got mine every 3-5 catches. Couldn't even see barrels anywhere near where I was fishing.

I caught 5 fish in just a few minutes on my max level fisher.

Tried to do the same with an alt with fishing skill of 1, At skill 35 I still didnt have a fish.
Another level 1 fisher using a shiny bauble - at skill 26 with a bauble I caught my first fish, skill 33 I caught another fish.

The respawn time of the barrel I was next to was 2min 15sec, 3min 45sec, 4min 20sec, 3min 10sec

gigantic catfish make an excellent ingredient in many of stormwinds most famous vegetarian recipes such as catfish gumbo, fillet o' kelp and possibly the most common, king wrynn's meatless meat pie, which now has 500% less meat!

find herbs tracks the barrels of catfish for some reason, dont believe me? make a level 1 and learn herbalism while having this quest

note to vegans and night elves, stay away from wrynns meat pies. just trust me

A Fisherman's Feast- All you need to do is farm it fishing in lakes in the canals you know the normal way (inside stormwind) i alredy tryed it work or the easiest and funniest way steal it! yeah steal it from the fisherman's around Sw you just need to right click the barrels next to them.

There are some spawning points:
1. West of the Trade District (55, 69).
2. East of the Trade District (69, 65).
3. East of the Cathedral District (63, 51).
4. West of the Cathedral District (47, 58).
5. Northeast of the Cathedral District (56, 42).
6. Southeast part of the Dwarven District (69, 41).
7. Southeast of the Dwarven District (71, 44).
8. Northeast corner of Old Town (74, 50).
9. Olivia's Pond North of the Dwarven District (72, 23).

Feeling crabby?-This one is easy just right click the crabs you find in the canals but i have a tip for u before you start ride a mammoth while doing it because since they are much taller then normal mounts so they can walk on the cannals any other normal sized mount will be forced to swim and create a simple macro: "/target Canal Crab" makes it alot easier.

Orphans Like Cookies Too!-In this one you can just buy the sugar from various npcs (some npcs are Connor Rivers and the candy seller next to the quest giver) or loot it from the ground it is confirmed that you can buy several sugar bags rom the same npc but what i really recommend you is camping the spanw point of the sugar(It spanws inside several building in sw most of them related to cooking in any shape way or form) since the spanw time is 5 seconds! yh i know. But still i will give you some usefull places to search for it:

In the Mage Quarter
Blue Recluse (kitchen)

Trade District:
Everyday Merchandise

Old Town:
Pig and Whistle Tavern (kitchen)

Dwarven District:
The Golden Keg

Penny's Pumpkin Pancakes- You just have to gather them from the farm in Sw theres only one farm in sw so it shouldnt be hard to find but i will give you the coords anyway (around 55,11)this quest is in the same area of Diggin' for Worms so if you have both at same time consider yourself lucky :)

The King's Cider - And the last and annoyinest of all king's cider require you to look for the trees that have apples and search around them for fallen apples seems easy right well it is but the trees are scattered all along Sw and some just have 1 apple in the ground that will take even more time if another players are doing it. Some coords/tips now to help a bit . The closest tree to the quest giver is at (55,74).The apples show if you have finding herbs(herbalist skill) so if you are herbalist this will be easier. Final Thing the respawn time is around 2-5 mins for the apples.
All These quests are turned in to Robby Flay excpet Diggin'For Worms that one is turned in to Catherine Leland.

With other players all trying to get the same barrels, you're better off sitting near one spawn point and trying to fish these out. On an alt with lvl 1 fishing and using baubles, I was able to get 4 respawns before catching a single fish. Was at fishing lvl 32 by the time I got my 5th.

Fished at a spawn point on my main with a total of 565 fishing. Caught all 5 fish within 5 minutes before the barrel even spawned.

These barrels appear on your minimap as Herbalism nodes. That is, tracking herbs will cause them to show up on your minimap.

There are a few barrels at an area not highlighted on the in-game map at 56,42 (a tad below the "wa" in "Dwarven District")

It is worth to consider the time of the day when doing this quest. During daytime, it is indeed ideal to stay in one place and fish. However, I did this quest at 3am and found a barrel next to every fisherman, finishing the quest in a very short time just flying from spot to spot!

Haven't seen it mentioned, but they show up on find herb for my mage.

Does anyone else wonder how badly the king's treasury is doing that he can't afford to just buy his own fish?

You can fish up both these and the needed for the fishing daily Hitting a Walleye from stormwind lake. When both dailies are up at the same time, it's usually more convient to just go fish than track down barrels. I can almost always complete this one in the process of completing the fishing one.

I don't bother flying around looking for barrels, it's next to impossible on my server. If you go to 69,41 (in the dwarven district - there are two barrels in that area) you can fish the rest of them up in less than 2 minutes.

Just something worth mentioning, you can do "A Fisherman's Feast" and "Crocolisks in the City" at the same time while fishing in Stormwind. I caught both quest fish/crock in a single cast while fishing on the same dock Catherine Leland is located. Of course chances of you getting both these quest at the same time is odd.

Just want to point out that you can stay in one place to get all your fish. Not need to move from one position.

[If there is one meal I know the King likes, it's fresh catfish. Catfish are easy to prepare but hard to catch. That's where you come in! We have a good population of gigantic catfish here in the waters of Stormwind but the competition to catch them is intense to say the least. I need you to figure out a way to "acquire" some of these fine catfish for our King. You will find fishermen at the small canal docks around town. You should be able to figure out the rest of the plan on your own.]
