Place out the totem that u got in your bags when you are killing the "Faceless Defiler" easy and quick quest, Faceless Defiler is walkin on the ground hard to miss bigg fellas

Note, you do not have to be the one to tag the mobs in order to get credit. Just drop your totem near any of these things when they die.

I have killed about a hundred of these things, but they don't seem to be getting captured by the totem. I have tried placing the totem before the pull, just before they die and right after they die. Nothing happens. I have tried placing the totem a few feet away, right underneath them, etc. Nothing happens. Even tried abandoning the quest and starting again, but same effect. Anything I am doing wrong, or just bugged?

If you're like me, and collect gizmos and gadgets from quest items to lay on the ground elsewhere (in towns or dungeons, etc.) this totem can only be used in the Scalding Chasm. Bummer.

For some reason I can't see any of the NPC's on the platform every time I come to the zone. Can't turn the quests in.

I had same problem with missing questgivers.
Try floating up to the surface then down again
Worked for me whereas quitting game and coming back in didn't
Putting in a ticket takes too long for my short attention span !

Guide to Vashj'ir Abyssal Depths Alliance quests:

The entire Vashj'ir line starts in Stormwind with Call of Duty.
The immediate pre-requisite to this chain is Full Circle from
Shimmering Expanse.

At any time, kill a Hellscream Seadog to get Claim Korthun's End.

If you have problems getting the energies you need, try to pull the mobs to the bottom of the sea and then place the totem on the bottom. Works like a charm.

i am having a problem when try setting the totem down it keeps saying i need to be in the nigtmare depths i can not find te nightmare depths

I tried it on the ones swimming around first, but I didn't see any totems appear. I later found out they actually land on the bottom, even when I'm far above.

What worked for me was swimming to a walking/standing one and landing the totem, let the totem take aggro, then pull aggro off it before the faceless defiler kills it. (Keep an eye on the totem, it might pull aggro on something else that can destroy it)

Worked every time for me using this method. Pulling two at once seemed to only give credit for one. Somehow I managed to pull aggro on a bunch of the wildlife as well during this, causing me to have three stalkers and two defilers on me at once.....Lucky I had Shadowmeld right then.

If your having trouble killing the mob too fast to get credit, if you are a hunter or rogue, ice trap or sap the mob than place the totem. Wait a few secs than kill.
