An unusual but reasonably fun quest to do. If you look at the trees around the trampoline, you will see the little bears hanging like berries from the trees. At the base of these trees you will see small ladders leaning up against the tree trunks.

Clicking on these ladders will bring up the mount/vehicle pane with controls to move up or down the tree. You will first need to move up the tree to get near a bear and click on it to grab it. When you have one you need to climb to the top of the tree. Once there you will get the targeting system operational (the green targeting spot on the ground with the green trajectory from your char), its the one you get from vehicles you attack/fight from that we are all familiar with. Target the trampoline and fling your bear at it.

Climb back down, grab another bear. Rinse and repeat.

Well, what you have to do for this quest are really easy. You have to find a ladder with a tree. Right click it, and you will jump up in the tree. So now that you are up in the tree, you shall climb up, then grab a bear who are in the tree. Climb up to the top with your bear, then aim for the Trampoline. Trow 6 bears on to the trampoline. Then you are done : )

I really enjoyed this quest. Not because it was so easy, but its a new type of quest. We saw a few of this in Wotlk also, like the demolisher's in Borean Thundra.

Once you've climbed a tree, you can "steal" bears from other trees by clicking on them rather than going up each tree individually.

I had to laugh so hard at this quest. When you chunk them down, not only are they going about mach 2 but they are barrel rolling as well. Then they just flop off like nothing happened! Typical kids!

You can only carry 1 bear at a time, so you have to grab one, go to the top of the tree, throw it, then climb down and grab another bear from the tree, rinse, repeat.

hilarious quest, grabbing them with them squirming in your hand and then throwing them down on the trampoline. They flip in the air constantly as if you put a little wrist into it and then they bounce of it and spin like bullets as they safely land.

oh and by the way. You can get on the trampoline yourself and bounce on it when you reach teh center.

Your character will do all sorts of animations and emotes like roaring, spinning, flipping and falling over yourself as she/he bounces in teh air, the height seems random from just a few yards to as high as the tree's.

Quest bugged on me today. Got into the tree, grabbed a bear, and got stuck. The 2 command (Follow) was stuck in a highlighted position, and wouldn't let me unselect it.
Logged out and back in, and was at the nearest graveyard.

Not sure what caused it. Level 81 Hunter with pet out at the time, but the pet didn't bug it when I came back after the log.

Anyone ever seen shows that have crazy ass videos? I saw one where a pretty decent sized bear was stuck in a tree. The animal control shot the bear with a tranquilizer. The bear went "sneakers up" and hit the fireman's trampoline on the ground and the bear launched himself, completely passed out back into the air, then plummeted to the deck face fist. It was friggin hilarious. BTW...here's the video!

Best. Quest. Ever.
Also - the models for the bear cubs as they are falling down is the stuffed and mounted bears on their hind legs that you sometimes see in inns. I was curious, thought others might want to know too.

I've run Hyjal on four different toons now and ran out of quests at about 67 / 115 every time. If you run out of quests in Hyjal, go to Keeper Taldros to get back on track. I'm not sure where you get sent to this quest, but I've managed to miss it four times now! GL and have fun.

I know this is redundant, but grab a bear, climb to the top of the tree, it appears that you are seeing a target to throw the bear but find the trampoline and target that. Then you can throw the bear, go down only one arrow. At that point you can pick up another bear from anywhere where the icon is still gold (even another tree). Go back up one arrow. The trampoline is already highlighted so you just have to set it that once. I threw a few bears before I figured out what I was doing wrong!

Bounce achievement, stay on the trampoline in the Whistling Grove in Mount Hyjal for 20 consequtive bounces

- Computer will bounce you 20 times, but can throw you out of bounds too.
- Moving into place to keep jumping does not keep the counter going, and you start over.
- If you stop bouncing after awhile, leave the trampoline and come back.
- Remember to instant heal, since there is fall damage.

The trees are in the green glade (Whistling Grove) near the trampoline, not the burning ones in the charred area.

You will see little baby bear heads sticking out of the trees like Christmas decor.

1. Right click on a ladder at the bottom of the tree.
2. Right click a bear to pick it up.
3. Hit number 1 on your action bar ("UP") to climb up to the top.
4. A trajectory dotted line will now curve from your cursor. Aim it to land directly in the very center of the trampoline.
5. Hit number 4 on your action bar ("Chuck-A-Bear").

6. Hit number 2 on your action bar to go down halfway. Grab a bear, repeat.

To clarify further, you move your mouse (probably up and down)so that the trajectory end at the middle of the trampolin. When you get to the top of the tree, the trajectory might be anywhere so you would have to adjust it.

Also you dont have to be near a bear to grab it.

The bear bounced off the trampoline and then onto the ground face-first. If I remember correctly, the bear turned out fine. Hence the "this is perfectly safe".

during this quest, i noticed 3 or 4 other people in nearby trees also doing it. hoping for the best i called out :/y BEAR FIGHT! amazingly EVERYONE responded and a good 10 minutes was spent throwing bears at each other, until we ran out of bears, despite every1 changing trees many times.

needless to say the questgiver seemed unimpressed.

These cubs originally looked like the Thistle Bear Cubs in Darkshore. At some point, they were changed to look like a brown version of the Arctic Grizzly Cubs in Dragonblight. There is now a minipet version in the Molten Front, the Hyjal Bear Cub.

I tried this quest and it doesn't work. Once you get to the top of the tree with the bear cub, there is no way to aim. I've done quests in WotLK that involves targeting, such as the moving targeting ring, but this has no such means to target.

All-in-all, an idiotic quest idea. The fact that it's broken doesn't help. There is no way to target. Contrary to what the other posters are claiming, there is no "dotted trajectory line" that moves to your cursor. Also, there is no way to change your angle of view, either up for down.

Solid F- for this quest, Devs. Thanks for wasting my time with your incompetence.

I've done this quest before a while ago on my main and had no problems with it. Unfortunately it appears to be broken atm. Sad day for the bear cubs :P Hopefully they'll get it fixed soon.

I'm not sure if anyone has noticed but if you jump onto the trampoline, you will ascend upwards. In addition, your character will sometimes do certain emotes while bouncing, such as the Bladestorm animation, roar and a knockdown animation. You'll still take damage after consecutive bounces unless you're a rogue or a druid in cat form. There's an achievement involving this. (perform 20 consecutive bounces) It's named Bounce.

Just noticed today that they have changed this quest. It used to preserve your direction when you descended the tree to pick up a bear cub but it doesn't anymore. You must re-aim every time you get back to the top of the tree.

There is currently no range on grabbing bears. I've grabbed bears from other trees if I can't find any on mine. Save someone the trouble of changing trees, hopefully.

It took me a while to realize you have to throw the bear AT the trampoline! At first I was in a tree that was not near the trampoline and I wouldn't get credit for throwing the little bear but once I tried a tree near the trampoline it was all good.

Also, I LOVE that trampoline! What great fun! and I got the achievement "Bounce" while playing with it :)

I am unable to continue the questline "Guardians of Hyjal: Call of the Ancients" and complete the Aessina assistance until I can somehow figure out how to make this quest work. I cannot target the trampoline from any tree, and there doesn't seem to be a way to adjust the trajectory.

I've read all the comments here, watched the videos, googled for others who might have resolved the same or similar issues, but I haven't found the resolution yet. After a couple hours of trying and researching, I've been looking for other quests in all of Hyjal to see if there is another option to open up Fireland Dailies....nothing. This is one of the required quests needed to complete the questline "Guardians of Hyjal: Call of the Ancients" and to wrap up assisting Aessina.
It is obviously bugged, and holding me up from progress. Not a good combination.

Edit: After abandoning the quest for the 2nd time, flying all around Hyjal mining and looking for other quests, I went back to this guy, reacquired the quest, and magically it worked. Odd.

You can also earn the achievement while your there, "Bounce", by bouncing on the trampoline for 20 consecutive bounces. I got this accidentally while goofing off and seeing what kind of fun animations there was with the trampoline.

For those of you who may be having issues... Grab a cub and then climb high enough in the tree to activate the aiming line.. I spent several trips up and down trees until I figured out I wasn't HIGH enough !

Lol, I really liked this quest. Once I understood it, the play went fast.

It reminds me of saving cats, climbing up to help them down even if they don't actually need it.

....of course we are throwing them over our shoulders towards a trampoline with large holes in it. Maybe the bears are made out of bouncy rubber leather?

For some reason this just tickled my funny bone and I "rescued" about 18 cubs before I decided enough was enough and turned it in. :D The most fun I've had on Azeroth or Earth in a long time.
P.S. Can you say Smokey the Bear?
P.S.S. I didn't even think of trying the trampoline myself until I read the comments - it's fun and earns you an achievement :)

This was a fun quest. Thank you wowhead for always being there for me! I would climb a tree and could not figure out how to throw the cubs. Right click cub, CLIMB TO TOP OF TREE, then an arrow will appear for you to line up your toss. While you are there go ahead and jump on the trampoline yourself 20 times and earn the "bounce" achievement! Fun Fun! What would life be like without Wowhead? Frustrating for one! lol

You need to grab a cub, climb to the top and then the aiming arrow will appear.

I disconnected multiple times trying to complete this quest.
turning off all addons (& using a different tree) did the trick, cannot tell which one might have caused it.
