I found the Deserter Agitators at these locations:

69,49 Entrance to NE tower at docks
67,49 Archery Range (I had to fight this one)
67,50 Near Flight Path
68,52 Outside SW tower at docks near ballista (I had to fight this one)
68, 51 Standing on a crate Outside the NE tower at the docks

I got 3300 experience points, 35 silver and 250 reputation with Stormwind for completing this.

All within sight of the quest giver. Mobs clearly labelled as Deserter Agitator on mouseover. How easy was this quest 8>)

Dont bother trying to find them with co-ords. It will only slow you down.

When I did this, 2 out of the 4 agitators which I exposed attacked me.

They're easy to take down, but be ready.

The easiest way I found of locating them is to walk around spamming "/tar Deserter". This'll highlight them for you. If you want it even easier, get into a group and mark them with a raid symbol as you can see those even through walls, etc.

FYI, It seems that if you start the fight stealthed they will run around for a couple seconds, then despawn without giving you any credit.

Very Easy. Nearly every guard pair has one of them.

After you expose one of them, it respwans in 3-4 min. You can expose him again. I did the q on the same NPC ;)

Note: If you click the "Confront....-" then stealth right after you will not have to fight but they will be exposed.

if you plan on questing in duskwallow marsh / theramore AT ALL you MUST complete this questline. it opens up multiple other quests in the area and also gets you quite a bit of easy xp.

Walk to the end of the dock where the boat is there are about 4 of them around as of 7/08

cant anyone tell me how can i expose one of these? i just can't. i mean, when i find one, target him, but he just says: Hi there teilen, how can i help you? and nothing happens. and i've also tried to attack them, but it tell me that's an invalid target.

Very easy 4 out of 5 attack me. did if with my lvl 34 hunter & 33 bear. found 8 in all

As of 3.0.2 or whatever we're at pre-wrath, fighting the agitators now flags you for PvP.

It didn't use to, it's just a heads up for those that might have Hordelurkers on their server.

Found the 1st next to the BS shop. 2nd next to the stables. 3rd next to the Gryphon Master, he just ran away. The last 2 by the docks next to the giant cross bolts.

this is a super easy quest. just run around the base and read the peoples names. the deserters all look alike so if you find one u find them all. OMG READING! Anything BUTT that!

There are agitators on almost every corner. These are the ones I found, but there are probably more. Just look for two people standing next to each other. The one at 68,51 is the only one I saw alone, but a guard does come around him periodically.

I found the one at 67,50 on the corner by the Gryphon Master will run away and will never turn red so you can attack him. He just disappears and you can't hurt him.

If you are a rogue or a druid, simply talk to the agitator and immeaditly stealth. the Agitator disappears and you get credit.

NEVERMIND! I feel like such a putz. Right after I posted I tried again and realized that I had to click on the speech balloon in the box that opened. 1/5 fought me.

EZ quest, just go around theramore isle with /target Deserter Agitator, go and talk to em, sometimes you have to fight em, they're level 35. I din't get xp from killin em tho.

I found them very easily, just run your mouse over the people around the dock area and by the gryphon master. It will say Deserter Agitator. Go up to them and right click. Then click on the text in the pop up. They will either turn on you or just run away. 3/5 turned on me. I'm level 35 human warlock and took them all no problem with my void. Too bad no XP since I had to fight 3...

I'm level 34 Alliance and I've walked up to, and left clicked on all of these Deserter Agitators. All I get is chat from these guys! and I'm not permitted to attack them. Anyone else have this problem?

Yes, easy just go around the town and they are talking to the guards.

Of the five I did, four of them attacked me. They don't give any XP or have any loot, but at least they are easy to find. No running about, you don't need to leave the town.

It's good to meet you, <class>. I've come to Theramore to help eliminate the problem of the deserters. Not only have some of the men abandoned their posts, but some have filtered back into the town.

These deserter agents are spreading lies and propaganda, hoping to convince others to join their ranks.

They're at virtually every guard post throughout the town and the docks. Find them, expose them, and discredit them. At this point, anything more risks inspiring more sympathy for them.
