They're okay, I wouldn't say twink quality... there are random greens with the same stats several levels under it, much better options for twinking, like Ginn-su and Stonevault Shiv.

Not to mention the Nordic Longshank if you're Horde side.

I just want to say, that I loved this Axe. It's super fast and the agility bonus means more critical hits.

I recently "upgraded" to a higher level mace of +8 strength and it is so slow (eons go by in between hits ... or misses). My agility sucks now too. :-(

Why would anyone use the Heavy Mithril Axe when they could use this? I sure don't know. The Blue Glittering Axe is superior in every way. It even looks better! For a small increase in the cost of material components you get an axe that is almost one second per swing faster AND gives you more crits. And on top of that it's a one-hand weapon, which gives those two-weapon people greater flexibility in weapon choice.

The only reason I even stopped using mine was because I traded it out for a Shatterer. Otherwise I might still be using it.

It's one heck of a good weapon, but be advised that due to the cost of materials you probably won't be making very many.

This is nice at 39 (when you can first use it) but mid 40s (for horde at least) you can get force of the hippogryph as a quest reward in Feralas, which is quite a bit better.

I believe this item is bugged. I made one for my level 40 alt... It works fine as a main hand weapon, but when equipped as an off-hand, the weapon fails to display on the toon (empty hand when dual wield is used); it also appears to fail to cause any damage.

Been planning on making these since 29 when I bought the plans. I have all the required materials so when I reach 39 I will be heading straight to the bank and the forge! Gained 80 mithril like looking for iron in Arathi and Shimmering Flats for the black smithing quest. Plan on getting the fire on one and chill on the other.

Well, I bought all mats on AH @ Dragonmaw.
It set me back 7g 12s for two Blue Glittering Axe. In other words 3g 56s per axe.
I dont think thats to bad, considering theese are the perfect weapon in WSG lvl39. ;)
(expecting a lot of crap cause I'm calling this "The Perfect Weapon")

so why are you in here talking about endgame items? one thing you fail to realize is that people getting thinking about this axe are probably dumping an early-30s lvl weapon. If they get your endgame raptor whatever fat good its gonna do them AS A LEVEL 39.

Just got this weapon from an AH for 6g considering what the matts are worth i think its a bargain, def consider this weapon up to lvl 40

After spending 2 days grinding for this, I was happy when I got them crafted, only 2g for the pair to craft, my mats.

Only problem, well not really a problem more like a inconvienence was waiting for the aquamarine to drop, as I'm sure like me, some of you won't pay AH prices, they can be way to high, and I for one will not pay 7g for aquamarine.

Mithril ore and solid stone was easy to grind, and thick leather was easily obtained from a guildie.

BTW I'm a lvl 39 hunter, dualing these :-)
and intend to use them for awhile since I'm not hitting 40 till I've achieved WSG/AB Gear and the insignia of the horde and Horde Battle standard.

This weapon totaly rocks for my lvl 41 shaman atm.
im enchancement specced so thats uber:P
but the costs where just too high on my server, i mean it costed me 30g each axe --..--
just held enough for my mount 0.0

but anyway, this weapon rocks especialy with crusader on it, then u got no downtime AT ALL.
every1 who can duel wield and is in bg or 45- GET THIS WEAPON

and btw... if you got some gold at lvl 40... dont go try grind for herods shoulder, just buy skeleton shoulders...

Dropped off a 45 human tonight along with a scorpid pattern in Tanaris. While I was farming for mageweave lol. I have a hunter alt JC that can prospect the aquamarine so gems will be no problem to make these.Find a guildie to give or sell you some. Its alot cheaper than buying them in ah, at least on my server.

Crafted two pcs to try out... one with +3 dmg the other +6 beast, and they are killers, with my current L40 Hunter char setup I get 52 dps + 25 dps, the rapid swishing and slashing is awsome to watch.
Also have tested wit one heavy Mithril axe + one blue axe... with regards to dps, give or take... the combo is pretty much equal but the mithril axe is boringly slow in comparison.
So a 2x blue axe combo with some enchants shouldn't dissapoint any hunter out there.
