Hit rating and Crit rating. Not a bad throwing weapon at all. If I could get my Rogue into SSC (I play Hunter), I would certainly love to pick myself up a set of these.

This item's changing from ilvl 128 to 134 in the 0.2.0(7175) PTR build, gaining 2.5 dps, 2 stam, and 1 hit rating.

The graphic of this is very nice, especially when you throw it. I can always spot the blue glow zooming towards my target, and it looks like a bit of blue light shoots into the throat of my "victim" (most cases, a random deer/hapless cow).

Also, I'll note that the two times I've seen this drop, it's always come from the Warrior murlocs from the room-clearing pulls for Morogrim Tidewalker -- surely a coincidence, but still I had mentioned "I always keep imagining that we'll have another one of those Shurikens dropping from these stupid murlocs." And on the last pull... another had dropped!

gives +14 stamina and more damage. no increase in crit,hit and no changes in speed.

Great weapon for dps warrs and rogues. It's often favored by Arms warriors because of the stamina and the crit on it; the hit rating is really the cherry on the cake ;-)
If you're a rogue/dps warr in a guild that does SSC you should definately consider spending DKP on this.

i really dont see the massive apeal on this item other than the increase in DPS compared to other thrown wepons.

the main person that will use this is a rogue.

other class's that can use ranged wepons tend to use bows/guns/crosbows as they have slightly better stats than thrown wepons.

and due to this.. looking at what is available for thrown wepons.. not a really shiney example of a great wepon.

there is a quest reward from netherstorm for a simple escrot quest that can easily be solo'd that gives a thrown wepon that is a green reward that is pretty nice , if not better compared to this.

thrown weapons used to suck, but now we have an ability called "DEADLY THROW" which is a finishing move that requires thrown weapons.
say a mage freezez a rogue in that frost nova thing but the rogue has combo points on him. if the mage runs back far enough, deadly throw.
with 5 points, 650-725 plus 200 if its something nice. better than just something to pull with.

when i was fighting a druid i was going for a killer envenom so i cold blood but i get rooted in place so i deadly through and got 1.7k damage, not bad for a rogue ranged attack :)and that was with some blue throwing weapon.

good pve stats. good pvp stats. the issue is whether or not you want to blow dkp on this since it shouldn't be your priority. that aside, it's a damn good item.

I crit for 2632 on a mage in AB the other day on a 4 combo point deadly throw, my second highest before this was with felsteel whisper knives, and that was 1926 in WSG with zerker buff. Of course I don't pvp alot, I raid... So the fact that they have good pve stats as well as giving me the small advantage in some situations while pvp'ing, makes this a great overall weapon.

Ditched my Consortium Blaster and Felsteel Whisper Knives after this dropped last night from an Underbog Colossus in Serpentshrine Cavern. It has a blue glow and is shaped more like a knife than an actual 'throwing star' shuriken.

It's great for PvP for the +stam and the utility provided by Deadly Throw, and it's also great for that hit/crit boost in PvE that might just make the difference between you and that other rogue in your raid :)

And, of course, it's an ideal accessory for perfact ninja style (see screenshot, once it gets approved).
