This plant is all over Deepholm. All over the bloody place, which is odd considering how hard the Therazane faction tries to stamp out all plant life so there's only rock and minerals

Anyways, it's a fairly obvious little plant. It looks like a very large sunflower, but is a reddish orange coloring

Requires 475 Herbalism to pick. I'm just going to echo the comment above me and reiterate that this is all over Deepholm. You can very smoothly go one from one herb to the next. There's literally a plethora of them all over the place and they respawn rather quickly as well. Even if there's 7 or 8 other herbalists in the area there's plenty to go around, so if you're kind of turned off by questing with your herbalist buddy because you don't want to fight over herbs, brush it off and go questing with them here.

If your herbalism isn't at 475 yet there's also just as much Cinderbloom in Deepholm as there is Heartblossom, so just pick those until your herbalism is high enough.

I'm changing this comment since I've noticed they've nerfed this area since yesterday. Still requires 475 Herbalism of course, but not near as many Heartblossom or Cinderbloom here as there was the first 2 days. Got on hoping to farm for 30 mins and didn't see even half of the stuff from before. So disappointing :(

after the rolling restarts last night they nerfed this area on these herbs and general.. U wont find as many as before not even close to it. so if u farmed last 48 hours u lucky.

They need to fix this. At frist there was way too many, now there's not enough. They need to balance it and double what's out there now, because pre-hotfix I got like 50 stacks in an hour; now pro-hotfix is takes me an hour to get a stack. The change was too gerastic. (seplling?) They need to balance this all out. : /

The average herbalist going farming should get liek 10 or so stacks in 1 hour, if not more. Now you can't get a stack in that time. (This is only including Deepholm and Twilight Highlands; the other areas are okay on their herbs.)

I agree, they took more than "several" nodes out. It seems as if they removed at least 80% of all the nodes in Deepholm... I farmed for like 30 minutes and was barely able to find any nodes of not just this herb but ANY herb! God Blizz, don't you have any kind of QC or something with updates like this? Is there one person that looks at the problem and updates it?

At least I was able to get a herbalism bag full of herbs the day before they nerfed the spawns. Overall though, Blizz needs to fix this as I don't see but a bare few of the nodes that I did before. Before it was way too high and now it is extremely low. It needs to be bumped up to an average amount of spawns...

It takes me less time to farm 20 pyrite ore than it does to farm 20 heartblossom!

This herb seriously needs more spawns.

Probally a strange Question, but is it possible to fly out there on your Mount, as a lvl 80 ?
As it happens my Herber is the last one out of 6 char's I want/have planned to lvl-up...

on my server, been flying around for 1 hour in deepholm and found only 1 stack. this sucks!

Not a good indicator of balance when you go from having too much of something to absolutely none. Only person in the zone with 7 others and I spent an hour finding 5 of them. This is ridiculous. Great idea to have an important herb appear in a single zone only, and then remove nearly all the spawns.

I was about to turn in the quest to rescue Stonefather and Flint (https://www.cuckhead.com/cata/quest=26836#comments:id=1275728) and I flew over about 10 herbs in one section of the minimap.

I think when they fixed the amount of herbs in Deepholm, they did not change this particular phase. They'll probably fix this in the future, but a good place to get herbs in the meantime.

wowhead needs to weed out all nodes reported in before the nerfed the number of nodes on this and several other herbs... data here are *not* valid

It seems the issues with Heartblossom aren't necessarily due to scarcity, but may often be due to phasing issues

I just finished the quest Rescue the Stonefather... and Flint, and the instant I rescued them, about 10 nodes of Heartblossom and Cinderbloom popped onto my radar. The instant I turned the quest in, that area became desolate again.

My suspicion is that either:

The spawn rate in that phase was not adjusted when they nerfed it.

OR

That herbs will start to spawn there as people farm other nodes in the zone, and since very few people can see them, are not cleared. Eventually a majority of the nodes in the zone are in this one strange pocket of phasing (and possibly others)

The result either way, if you need a lot of Heartblossom, do not turn in that quest until they fix things, one way or the other!

I found circling the outer ring to be particularly effective, especially in Needlerock Chasm where the Heartblossom likes to spawn around the edge of Mercurial waters. The same can be said of the other "water" areas in Deepholm such as the Silvermarsh, but the Needlerock Chasm is the best.

Aside from Needlerock Chasm, I found some stray, seemingly random spawn points throughout the outer ring. However, there's not enough data for a definitive assessment yet.

I believe the first two days of overabundant herbs everywhere was to cut down on people fighting for nodes of new herbs/ore... Just like the spawn rates of mobs. Good idea, but they nerfed it in this zone way too much... even if you can find pockets in phased areas, that just means that the rest of the population that's completed the zone is screwed trying to farm these.

In an hour I found about a stack, if that, of heartblossom. I actually found more cinderbloom (about two stacks) than heartblossom. How's that supposed to work? It's the only zone we can get it in and you can barely find it anywhere.

I farmed for 1.5 hours on outer ring for 19 Heartblossom, not fun... not fun = no play which in turn leads to lost money for Blizz. Maybe they will get this fixed soon!

Considering that the ONLY place to farm this plant is Deepholm, have none of you considered that the opposite faction might be farming it as well? You cannot see how many of the opposite faction are in the zone, nor can you tell how many of your home faction as well as the opposite faction are herbing. Overfarming seems more likely than Blizzard shadownerfing the spawn rates.

i'm not quite certain the lack of doing quests is the reason heartblossom isn't found easily. i've done every quest deepholm, or enough to get the achievement and then ones that are offered after that, and compared to when i first got to deepholm and after i did all the quests, i've not seen an increase in nodes that convinces me that questing is the way to open up more nodes.

it could very well be that i am flying counter clockwise while someone is farming in a clockwise direction ... dunno.

I believe they may have fixed the phasing issue, at least partially, because I am now able to see and pick herbs in needlerock chasm.

Last week I flipped this coin about 20 times and got like 15 heads.

This week I flipped it and it came up more tails.

They totally nerfed heads.

But seriously, variables change over time. More herb farmers is the most significant one, I'm thinking.

Ok, in the north-western end of Deepholm there is a place with the big mushrooms that you gotta explode for a quest. Around there, i find an average of 45 volatile life and 2 stacks of each plant in a single run.

Thats how much there is there.

Relatively unfarmed on my realm, but its crazy there.

Sometimes u run into some wandering bog lord thingy, but at 85, they are cake.

As of 4.1.0 also requires level 65 to gather. Sad news for the Tauren druids like me who have been picking them since 60. Back to Outland until 65 then.

The spawnrate in Deepholm isn't bad at all. I farmed for 30 minutes on my 85 Druid (with 280% flying) and collected:

Keep in mind that this is with the guild perk Bountiful Bags, if you don't have this perk your results will probably be lower.

Well, that worked out pretty well for me, i circled around the outer circle once and got 79 heartblossom. so im guessing that would be the best path for farming this herb.

I had amazing luck in Needlerock Chasm (upper left of The Temple of the Earth). In 10minutes I had 18 heart blossoms 16 cinderblooms and 15 volitle lifes. Circle the area and it takes a few minutes for all of them to respawn but this seems to be the best place to go!
