I found this in the same building as the shield. Although I have not checked the other places, this can be found upstairs in the back room, inside the chimney.

Did this at level 59. Use your mount and make it to the building where the libram is. Dispatch the two guards outside, in front of the building near the entrance. Rest up. Make your pet passive. Turn on Aspect of the Monkey and run in to the building and go into the third room where the libram is. Run to the far end of the room and feign death. Rest up. Set your pet to defensive. Send your pet at the guard nearest the libram. The other guard will aggro, plus one from the other room. Run to within loot range of the libram and feign death to drop aggro. Loot the libram while your pet is being beat on. Run from the building as quick as you can, hit Aspect of the Cheetah when you get outside and run around back and toward the hills behind the next building. You should lose aggro. NOTE: Be darn sure you have the libram in your inventory. Have your bag with the empty slot open so you can verify it's there. I made the mistake of leaving once without it. Got all the way to Light's Hope Chapel before I realized I didn't get it. lol

Solo'd this as a level 59 mage. Fought the elites outside one at a time. Easy enough. I sheeped one of the two in the entrance and killed his mate, then him. Then I pulled the one in the next room outside the hall to have more space. After I killed him I sheeped the one by the Libram, frost nova'd the other one and ran in. Then ran way....quickly.

i have no idea if this was a fluke or what, but i walked right into Hearthglen in stealth (i'm combat/assassination spec) right into the building, walked into the main room stood on the table got the book and left without ever fighting or seeing a guard for that matter...

Guards all over the place, sprinted in and vanished once I was past the first wave. Got into the building using sap to take out the pallies. Got to the book saped one pally and blinded the other looted the book and vanished out. Piece of cake.

Solo'd at level 58 Warrior. Just walked around the perimeter of the guards and drew them out 1 by 1. I slapped them down in 4-5 hits. You guys had me all worried because I didn't have any help. You guys are too much.

I'd assume that last two posting got lucky with spawns.. there are two mobs relatively close to the door of the building that you need to clear out if you're going to get inside. also was one scarlet paladin right inside the doorway of the building.

As a warlock runed in casted Howl of Terror, took libram and died.

If you're having trouble getting to this solo, if someone is doing In Dreams nearby you can pull these guys to Taelan Fordring and he will kill them for you.

Did this as a priest - level 57. Ran in, died in the far corner, ressed and then feared the mobs so I could grab and run. But I made the mistake of only fearing two and one of them pulled the third outside the library door. I was able to keep my health up until my fear was off CD. I would suggest pulling the third guy and fearing inside the library next to the item.

Soloed as level 54 Warlock, and it isn't easy.

You will need rank 2 Howl of Terror.

You can mount up and get to the back of the target house. There's actually quite a big open area behind the house where there is no mob. Die and rez there if needed.

You need to kill the 2 mobs outside the house close to the entrance. Those can be single-pulled, so shouldn't be difficult.

Inside the house there are two mobs right at the door, 1 more as you turn the corner, and I believe 3 actually inside the big room, with one of them being a level 60 Scarlet Judge. That makes a total of 6. This is why you absolutely have to clear the two mobs on the outside, because Howl of Terror has a target cap of 5, and you can Fear one more, making 6 the max number you can handle. Any more and you'll be interrupted and fail.

This is also why you want rank 2, because after you get off the Howl cast, you still need to Fear one additional mob, so you really want the 5 extra seconds of cc.

Anyway, the plan is to send in your Voidwalker and aggro the first 3, then you walk in, aggro the last 3 and have your Voidwalker pull the first 3 to your side. Either one pulling too much aggro will result in dying too fast. After you run inside and stand at the table where the book is, start casting Howl of Terror and while mid cast, use Sacrifice. These elites hit so hard that 6 of them can easily chunk through the sac shield, so you do this to make sure that you get off the Howl of Terror cast.

There should be one mob remaining that wasn't affected. Cast Fear on it. When everything is under crowd control, you can loot the book. You will not survive afterwards, so rez outside the house after you loot or take the rez sickness at Chillwind Camp.

It isn't very reliable. Sacrifice too early, and your shield will be gone before you finish the Howl cast -- then you won't get off the cast cuz there's too much pushback. Sac too late, and your VW dies.

The Libram is in the building with the clock tower. Enter Hearthglen and take the left road. The building you want is the first you come to on the left. There are three rooms: frist a small Entrance Hall, then a small Antechamber, and finally the big Main Hall. The Libram is on the table to the left of the door into the Main Hall. It is lying flat on the left table, of the two tables to the left. If you still have the Mechanical Yeti that you got from the Goblin Umi Rumplesnicker in Everlook in Winterspring it is the perfect thing to use to get Davil's Libram. The Mechanical Yeti will distract the guards utterly.

I don't know what's up but this is bugged for me. Can't click it even though I can see it right in front of me. Saw a shaman grab it too and still couldn't after. Going to try dropping the quest and picking it up again.
