These are what happened when the horde, not wanting alliance to claim an area of Icecrown before them, attacked from behind, resulting in both sides being decimated and the scourge being the only winners (and raising this lot).

You cant loot them all the times after kill, plus its very hard unless you are in group to contain the whole aggro since this mobs are extremely close by other undead and pulling one results in pulling 4 or 5 as well, also i dont think the titanium ore drop rate is correct, i ve killed around 15 and i only got 1 ore, but they usually drop 25s to 50s and lots of frostweave cloths

Unfair to blame Horde for these douchbags (pardon ma french) deaths, the Alliance wanted to outmaster the Horde (which they kinda failed since day one when they thought gnomes were capable of contributing to an alliance...at all). So they gatherd an army and marched to Icecrown Citadel...but:

1) They were way too few n too weak compared to the enemy guarding the Lich kings domain.
2) They didnt consider this and the consequence of turning into a part of the undead army once they failed
3) They refused to cooperate with Horde, same as #1, they refused to accept they needed Horde and Horde ofc wanted to get rid of the Alliance since they kept on getting in the way and in some cases help the Scourge instead of destroying it:

*The Borean Tundra, The Hordes war on Scourge from southwest was blocked by Alliance.
*Howling Fjord, The Forsakens march on Scourge (which ofc was betrayed eventually by themself but still...) got blocked by Alliance that both destroyed their ships and prevented them from moving forward and the Zep incident were they captured Horde supply cargos by capturing the goblin master at the Westguard Keep.

So in honest defence of the green stinky orcs, the Alliance had it comming, they had it comming since day one and to be honest should simply consider to give up and turn around back home and stop getting in the way all the time.

A new rare has been added to Duskwood in Cataclysm that also uses this model, "The Unknown Soldier" it is called.

I was going to try for some greater cosmic essence, but you cannot loot anything from them from a kill. Maybe if you have some quest for killing them, they will. I have no idea, tho.
