If you want one of these train it before the event because I think the phasing makes it so you can't tame them anymore. I can't find them on the other locations this map shows them on.

Indeed untamable after you done the event, a very kind guildy helped me kite them out of the phased zone and he just vanished as he touched the wall, even with fearing him outside it.

None at the Avalance or Shadow Vault for both me and a char that hasnt touched icecrown yet, so the only spot seems at Argent place.

To bad, this skin is really awesome

Untameable if you have done the event. There IS a few places where you can bypass the phased area. I as able to in two spots, to see them even after i finished the events. Tried to tame, untameable. Beast lored to see if it was a bug, untameable.

Yes, spiders are good in PvP precisely because you do occassionally run into an actual arachnophobe that just freaks out, and this is one of (if not the) the scariest looking spiders in the game.

But yes, when you first get to Icecrown, tame this. Doesn't matter if you want it now or not, just keep it in your stable in case you ever do. Nothing quite like the reaction on a lvl 80 hunter's face when you tell them you have a cool looking pet that they will never be able to have, because they missed their only chance.

Not entirely true, of course, but still fun to do.

These spiders apply a 30 second poison that stuns you for 5 seconds once the 30 seconds has lapsed. If you time it right and jump just as the stun is about to hit, u can then spin the camera view around for some Matrix awesomeness.

Worth noting that these are very annoying to tame, NPCs come up and "save" you, thus breaking your tame.

Grab one that is on the side away from the NPCs:).

These spiders along with Forgotten Depths Slayers are part of an phased zone at the Argent Vanguard.

They are also some of the best mobs in the game for skinning borean leather. Each mob yields 1-6 pieces with a chance at an Arctic Fur. You only need to do 1 point of damage to be eligible to loot, and skin them, so you can tab, and dot a mob that's fighting an npc, and loot it later. It's not that crowded since it's both Cata, and phased, and in addition to that you can attack the web victims, which will either produce another spider, or an argent npc who will give you a buff, and throw a 5k heal on you. You can literally farm these mobs nonstop, and get mountains of skin with the only limitation being how long you can stand to farm.

Put on some music, and go to town. Especially since on my server BL sells at around 90g a stack. I get to level my alts, and make sweet, sweet bank.

In my opinion these are the most real looking spiders you can get.
Can only be a good thing to freak & phase ppl away from there keyboard while doing PVP & runs :)
