Note: Completely relying on Tur for tanking/healing isn't the best idea. It would be a good choice to have a back-up healer/tank if you chose for him for one of those tasks.

he turns into a boomkin for DPS a tree of life for healz and a bear for tank tried all 3 to see waht they would be fun quest.

Him as healer is nothing to rely on.

My protection pala had to blow lay on hands, bubble and heal himself because the tree would not heal him when needed...

As a Feral Druid I asked him Tur to Heal while I tanked... however I did this again with my Healing Paladin and he failed miserably as a Tank. Please, if you are going to use him ask him to go Moonkin or Healer... his tanking abilities are horrible. He drained my mana clean thin and did little to little to no damage.

If you're spec'd to heal, Tank is probably the best choice.
Healer is best for most choices (if you're spec'd to tank or you're a DPSer who can survive a while (Balance Druid, Warrior, Death Knight, Paladin, etc.), or if you're a Hunter/Warlock (have your pet tank))
DPS is really only good if you already have a tank and a healer already arranged.

As a 77 fire mage,,, Tur's not nearly strong enough a tank, unless you also bring a healer.

I soloed this as a 76 demonology/affliction lock. I let my voidwalker tank and had tur heal. Kept my dots up the whole time and helped heal my VW a few times with health funnel, although i'm not sure it was needed. Tur kept my VW healed up pretty good. It took a long time but it was easily done.

Although he's a good healer for most tank classes, he doesn't have infinite mana, so you still have to put out decent dps even as a tank.

I did this as 78 Prot Warrior and died the 1st time because he eventually ran out of mana (Ursoc was just under 10k heath), second time I used all available damaging abilities (concussion blow, shield slam, revenge, shockwave), made sure i killed all adds before they used their debuffs and killed him with plenty of mana to spare.

Soloed as level 74 enh shammy. Yeah, I kind of cheated my way out.

I asked Tur to be a healer and attacked Ursoc. I used Bloodlust, wolves, shamanistic rage and fire elemental totem at the beginning and Tur healed me really well. But then the small adds would come that would put a debuff on me and Tur that will stun or something like that, so I died. However, I ran back as quickly as possible, ressed (Tur was still alive thank god), used my earth elemental totem and soon my wolves were ready again.

i was doing the quest to kill ursoc with my 80 hunter for the acheivment Fo' Grizzle My Shizzle and i told him to heal but he turned to bear form. he still healed me but in bear form, it was weird

One more thing about this fine fellow, be sure you're ready to fight Ursoc BEFORE telling Tur what form to take. As soon as you tell him what form to take he charges off towards Ursoc, running past all of the bears in his path. He will stop just out of Ursoc's aggro range, but he De-spawns if you don't engage in about 30 seconds. He will also not stop to fight Ursoc's defenders if you pull them off of him.

I'd guess it was 30 seconds but it seemed shorter than that, we were buffing and then right when we engaged Ursoc he vanished. Bad timing.

TLDR: Buff before you talk to him and either clean the bears out of the tunnel or don't engage them until he is fighting them. If he does dissapear he will be back at his original spot.

Tur has both Tree of Life form and Moonkin form, so he obviously paid 1000g for dual spec. Given the complaints about his tanking he doesn't have triple spec, so Blizzard doesn't let NPCs cheat that way. L2TANK NOOB!

In all seriousness, I wonder if Tur is a prototype for NPC healers/DPSers/tanks in the next expansion. Don't Lord of the Rings Online and other MMORPGs already have them?

almost to easy to solo with him tanking, he is a little squishy compared to most player tanks, mainly because he gets hit for a lot, but other then that quite easy (i'm mainly elemental, but i am off spec resto on my shaman)

btw earth shield is your friend in this fight, the stuns are horrible.

Pretty easy to heal as a healer spec'd for it, had him go bear form and healed him till completion as a level 74 disc priest....had to pop a shadowfiend, but didn't even have to touch any mana potions or other tricks.....you can Power Word: Shield him, but sadly can't bounce Prayer of Mending

As a resto specced shammy lvl 76 I was able 2 heal him throughout the whole thing, used mana tide totem and fire elemental totem, he's not really that hard 2 heal at all, although since just doing it me and him takes such a long time i almost went oom

When you ask Tur to "help subdue", i.e. DPS, he absolutely rocks the crap out of everything. He was pulling aggro off my BM enraged bear.

If you can stand up to the blows or have the ability to heal, I highly recommend asking him to DPS versus heal or tank. He blew up Ursoc faster than I ever could have at 75.

73 Protection Warrior with Tur as healer does just fine.

Tried it as a 76 combat rogue with Tur healing, and it worked out fine. I put recuperate up a couple of times, and Ursoc's immune to stunning abilities, so be prepared for that.

And if you're a skinner, you can still skin the corpse after you cleanse it.

As we ran to the place where we were to fight Ursoc, he aggro'd a bear that was evading. The bear was hitting him and he just stood there doing nothing. I could not hit or taunt the evading bear. Until I bandaged Tur and got aggro from healing.

Easy soloable as a 78 Frost Mage as Tur was assigned to heal. Just Blink and Mirror Image and you'll be fine.

I told him to heal and he just despawned immediately after summoning Ursoc. Still managed to solo with my voidwalker.
