Hmmm... Let me think. The guy who made Ashran got hired again? PVP Warfronts incoming.
Ashran wasn't bugged. It was dreadfully bugged. I mean, there was, until the whole BG was removed, a bug that gave you the possibility to grind your reputation to the pvp faction of wod from friendly to exalted in 10min. Everybody knew about it, it was a simple "turn a quest, but quest item dosen't remove itself from bag" kind of thing that could have been fixed easily...... But it went on for two expac. Nobody gave a damn about Ashran, not even the devs.Edit : That said, I liked Holinka's take on pvp. Will wait to see what it will come to now.
I have expected #fireHolinka to be the first comment... I'm disappointed.
I hope they keep him away from BGs
according to his linkedin page he never left either soo....
Aww, Y'all bein all NO, NO PLS NO. Why? It's a Dev who quit coming back to help pull Warcraft out of this hole.Hopefully he removes GCD for all abilities.
Hopefully he ll fix the utterly terrible caster vs melee mongo balance atm,it literally cant get any worse with casters either being a free kill or just there as a ccbot...
I always thought this guy was a reason why the arena ladder was 98 percent alliance during mop and wod. How can you even think about hiring this person again?i remember checking arena mate during 2014\2015 and it really was 98 or 99 percent alliance, and i remember i wondered how the f can you let the faction balance in pvp to be that drastically one-sided. well, ye, there are other designers and we dont know who was in charge etc etc but he was a senior pvp something anyway. 98 to 2, man, the queues for alliance were SO LONG that they got to put a vendor so alliance players could queue as horde and not wait for 15-20 minutes, it means there was no horde on the ladder\pvp\ashran like at all, and he didn't even bother to do anything for a whole mop and wod - only in the legion prepatch we got the horde racial buff and EMFH nerf. wtf andbtw checked that pvp ladder thing now and i see things are a bit different: now horde dominates, but its 60 to 40 percent (worldwide), (70 to 30 on the US and btw its 60 alliance to 40 percent horde on EU) not perfect, but thats not 98 to 2. So I think his absence made the game healthier in that particular way.
WoD was the last semi-acceptable state for a lot of classes. I'm sure he'll be a total shill for whatever the higherups want but maybe there's a small chance the game will be playable again.
