I feel like this list could vary wildly based upon server economy. For instance, it suggests rings for several specs. On my silly little server, rings are by far one of the most expensive legendaries to make, whereas a cloak for example is super cheap!
Even on bigger server, like ArgentDawn-EU, rings go for more than twice what cloaks do, so yeah, the guide is certainly not valid for "on a dime" account.
I was lucky on Kazzak with the ring. 291 piece was like 55K. After Unity was like 100k
Hate seeing all the different slots. My server for the past few days only has neck, ring and cloak to make legendaries, oddly it's split out over every ilvl from 190 up to 291 for all 3. I had to make a 291 cloak for my BM hunter when its recommended boots for the non unity legendary
Just take the free belt and call it a day. If you're really looking to save gold, that's the way to go.
When you call the post "unity on a dime" wouldn't you want to put that item in the slot that is the cheapest and most reliable in case you switch specs as well? I don't want to craft Unity in three different slots, just because I like to switch between specs. So having three different things listed for Druid sounds super counter productive, and really not "on a dime." The most "on a dime" I would see there would be to put Unity on the back, because the only place it gives any problems would be for Resto Druid M+. All other specs are fine for M+ and Raid.
To be honest, I don't understand why someone would recommend putting Unity on a ring as the best option.Rings have the worst stat budget in the game since there is no int/str/agi on it. Most of the guides I read, including Wowhead, said it was best to have it on the "highest stat-budget non-tier slot", which would be feet or waist.Am I missing something ? Would love some clarifications from you guys :)
I'm just going to do a cloak on everybody lol! Call it a day.
That's just terrible advice, suggesting a ring when you could have a 291 item with main stat instead is silly, the best item to craft your legendaries are obviously the 2 highest ones remaining after you equip your best itemized tier set, so for most specs it's belt+helm/chest/legs, that could change when you factor in 285 ilvl items from the raid but 99.99% of the playerbase isn't there yet.
I think its wrong to make this list and to assume that people should not craft in a tier slot option considering these pieces have a high weight of stats on them.Craft in a tier slot option (like helm) and get the other 4 pieces as tier is what a lot of people are doing.
You guys go back and forth between Waist and Belt in the write up.
