Unpopular opinion: I believe 9.2.5 is a perfect timing to add Dark Ranger Class, class entry storyline is about Sylvanas teaching new breed of Dark Rangers that are abit infused with Jailer's Domination magic how to rescue souls from the Maw.Also, Scarab Lord mount was updated in 7.3.5 - Thats Vanilla Content upgrade at the end of 6th expansion. It only makes sense to update hilariously ugly and old WOTLK Gladiator mounts (And Also slightly refresh TBC Gladiator mounts) in 9.2.5, at the end of 8th expansion. Make them more like cinematic/art versions of the frostwyrms.Blizzard likes structures and systems, this update timing fits just right.Sorry if this is offtopic, just my feedback on 9.2.5
I agree, 9.2.5 or at the latest 10.0's release would be ideal to pitch such a new class or spec (Spec would be far easier, making them an addition to hunters and easier to balance/design).Think of it like the Death Knights and their legendary introduction to the game. How they were first out as a servant of Arthas the Lich King himself, and then later in your story you quickly become a Knight of the Ebon Blade and turn against his evil.Shadowlands was basically the epilogue of WoTLK's events set in motion over 15 years prior to its time in the lore. As horrible of an expansion as it was, and a true butchering of the lore in so many ways, they can at least use it to stage some better events looking ahead. This wouldn't be the first bad expansion WoW has had. Cataclysm was a disaster, Warlord's of Draenor as well and then you've got BFA which honestly I don't think was bad, but the way it was executed is what made it so terrible. N'Zoth and Azshara, what could they possibly have to do with the war between the Horde and the Alliance? They both deserved their own expansion.Such potential wasted, why would you put the most powerful mage in all of Azeroth that has ever existed for the past 10,000 years in WarCraft lore, into the game and then confine her (Azshara) to a SINGLE mini-patch. Azshara and N'Zoth were plotting that plan since he attacked the Highborne 10,000 millennia ago. And all both of them received was a patch each, when in fact they deserved an entire expansion quite easily. It could have been called WoW 9.0 - Tides of Corruption or something.Shadowlands could have been 10.0 and probably done a lot better with the time needed to design it >.>Digressing, I think this is a great period to include Dark Rangers as the next hero spec or class. And their prelude could be interesting (but we know Blizzard's writers are a joke and lazy as all hell). Where they could for example, stage their intro story as far back as the events of patch 8.3.5 where Sylvanas kills Saurfang and betrays the Horde. The player could be faced with a choice that ultimately leads to them supporting or fighting against Sylvanas. In the end of that class intro campaign which teaches them how to use the new skills and such - they could be aiding Sylvanas with her task of freeing the Teldrassil souls. Then the player goes to the real world.
