thanks for the update...2 more weeks until cap3 more weeks until Pre Patch
Pre Patch just hit PTR so it can be accrate
We are being optimistic.
Pre patch won’t be until late September/early October. That time frame puts us in the first world first race just before thanksgiving. Otherwise, pre patch won’t release until mid to late November, delaying the world first race until after the new year. Either way Blizz might have shot themselves in the foot by “guaranteeing,” a 2020 release date. Any other pre patch dates between late sept, and early nov. ends up meaning that Blizz staff are working on support and upgrades during the holidays or guilds are going to be forced to grind all the preparations for world first over the holidays. Neither one is desirable. Based on the state of the PTR and the Beta, I really don’t want to play a game that is less finished than BfA was in this point in the release cycle. I would rather wait an play a finished game. But they already set the precedent of paying out people when they missed a published release date (Warcraft 3,) and I don’t think the shareholders would appreciate the expense of having to do it again in the same calendar year on a much bigger scale. They just need to accept the fact that it takes 2.5-3 yrs to make a quality, finished xpac, and start gearing content releases in current expansions to span that gap. Rushing a new expac to market because players chose to rush through beta and rush through all the content is bad business. If you’re bored with the content halfway through the expac maybe you shouldn’t have spent half a year playing the alpha, beta and PTR beforehand.
Since I saw that they made changes to Brewfest back in april,I've been saying pre-patch will hit the week it starts, so the September 15th, also the week after the last cloak upgrade. With 4 weeks of pre-patch, as the last two, SL will launch Oct 13th,just between the Darkmoon Faire XP buff, and the Hallows End XP buff, the raid will open the week after what would have been BlizzCon.
So still
