Raids became actual raids, no more afk target dummy fights.
Classes started to get some depth and some much needed QoL changes to make them less cringe.

It's going to be a fun ride until the Dragonsoul patch, i'm out when that gets released.
The first phase + firelands will be well worth it however.

And tbf if they do cata with changes they might actually make it better then expected. WHY?Comment by MikeMJGThey have Classic Vanilla servers (along with Hardcore Mode and Season of Mastery realms).
They had and then removed Classic The Burning Crusade (still confused about this one).
They have Classic Wrath of the Lich King.
And now they will have Classic Cata.

Classic was supposed to be only vanilla content - since that is the ONLY content that cannot be experienced on the live retail realms.
Then, Classic changed to mean pre-Cata. And we got BC and Wrath classics.

Now with Cata Classic, scratch that theory. The only thing classic now is the models. So Cata and then MoP classics. The new 3d models started with WoD.

If they release a Classic Draenor, then we will be 100% certain they will release a classic for every single expansion.

Except for Classic Vanilla, there is no reason whatsoever to play on those realms. Everything from those expansions are already part of retail WOW. All nine expansions, ready to play and enjoy at any time.

If you play in these expansions at the correct level, all of them will be equal challenges when compared to the xpac being live.

Also, these are welfare realms. It's not REAL WOW. All of the character we have created for 19 years are not allowed to transfer to classic realms (which I am all for). All the new classic characters cannot transfer to REAL WOW realms (which I am also all for).

These communities should NEVER mix. Think of this:

One player beats molten core with a raid group on retail when MC was current content.
Another player beats molten core with a raid group on the classic realm.

Even though on paper, you would think they both achieved the same thing - THEY DID NOT. Classic Vanilla content has had tons of changes to make things easier. So now, when someone on a classic realm says they beat Molten Core. They really only beat molten core on the classic realm, not the true version. And that applies to everything released on classic realms. It is NOT the same. And it NEVER will be.

Classic realms should get the very smallest amount of support while REAL WOW realms should get the most support. Bring the removed vanilla content back to retail realms. Once that is done, there is no reason to ever play any classic realm. It will all be part of Real WOW.
