nerfed levling by 300% reduced it by 20% hmmm zzzz still miss the old leveling system now my heirlooms are useless in dungeons takes forever
Levelling is fine
it is not.
And leveling is still trash.Big deal they made an insignificant change after butchering the entire leveling process into a cesspool of grind. All thanks to Allied Races and Heritage Armor. 100% made in the cheapest manner possible to extract as much money from the player as possible.
The awful thing is that we actually need to level to get the heritage armor, so no payment to get out of that terrible grind.
A nerf means they reduced the overall xp needed, but they didn't, the values at 100 are still the same. Just shifting where you need the xp is not a reduction in overall xp needed. I really don't like lies.
Meh, it felt sort of slow in Northrend before the hotfix, sure, but since then I've gone from like 73 to 76 just doing the living part of Zul'Drak and already 77 from doing the Sholazar set up, and the first three hunting chains. Only finished one chapter. No boosts of any kind. Feels like a good pace to me.
Levels 60-80 has had a 14.48% XP nerf.
Good god, it's never fast enough for you brats.
When I heard of the changes at first, I wasn't quite sure how this would affect the leveling curve. However, these graphs made it very easy to understand, and based on those I can only say I approve. I think the curve should be exponential but gradually so, rather than have many bumps along the way, so to me this looks more ideal than before.
A co-worker of mine recently returned to WoW after not having played since mid MoP. I asked him how he felt about leveling and to quote him "It's going by pretty quick".Leveling isn't bad. People just got used to being able to pull 6-8 mobs at once and burning through a zone in 3-4 hours. Or running dungeons where a tank would just pull every mob till you got the boss and burn everything at oncePeople who gripe about this truly have no idea what hard leveling is. You have been spoiled by heirlooms and OP enchants and and snowflake mobs.Don't get me wrong, I understand the desire not to have to go through 110 levels again. I personally am not rolling any new characters because I just can't go through the experience again. Not because it's too hard, but because I have experienced the leveling process so many times it no longer interests me in the slightest. But, I think the better way to handle it is to offer Veteran players (with 3 or more max level toons) a substantial discount on max level boosts. Or offer different levels of boosts.
so i'm looking at these graphs and tables and seeing a lot of numbers, coloured lines, and labels.but i don't see anything that addresses the amount of FUN the player has during the leveling process.and based on the comments here, at the official blizz forums, and on other sites, it looks like the fun gained between levels for the average player has actually gone DOWN.i'm no accountant, but it seems to me that might be bad for the company's bottom line.
And still, none of the xp stuff would have been necessary if they'd have kept it the way it was before and said to ppl who wanted to slow the levelling experience down: "Take your heirlooms off and have an xp bonus for seeing out a zone to compensate for the lowered xp from q's at higher levels." Everyone who wants to race thru levelling coz they've done it an ad nauseum amount of times before, carry on with what yr doing. They could've kept literally everyone happy, but nope, they chose not to. Yet to hear a convincing argument to suggest it's not all about flogging paid boosts, espesh as they've binned the xp pots and elixirs. Silly strategy tho.
