A drop in the ocean for Activision-Blizzard...
Doesn't seem equitable.
Well this is disappointing news...A low cost settlement in the eyes of Activision and they have already been given lots of time to ruin further investigations.I just personally hope this whole thing ends up helping protect the employees at Activision from their own employers.
It does seem like the DFEH is pretty fervent to take Activision to court.
Doesn't matter, their reputation is already ruined. And no, I'm not just some random a$$hole that came here just to hate on Blizzard. I've been a fan of them from early highschool and played every expansion since Cataclysm. This stuff hurts me just as much as it hurts you.
Blizzard cleaned up nicely after all the drama. Ofc what happend shouldn't of happend in the first place but it seems everything is solved now with Mike Ybarra at the head and Microsoft taking over the company & Bobby getting let go.This had to happen to get a better company back.
What a sham. I bet it'll come off the backs of lower level employees instead of Bobby, too...
"Our goal has always been to provide immediate and meaningful compensation to eligible employees who choose to participate and to continue workplace improvements that make Activision Blizzard a model for our industry.”This would mean something to me if I had seen anything of substance from inside the company, and had heard from employees that physically work there daily that things have gotten better. Yet neither has happened. What I have heard and seen from employees is that union busting, intimidation and scare tactics as well as threats are still happening. More smoke and mirrors that they're allowed to get away with.
And that ^&*!@#$ Kotick gets away with all the evil bull#$%^ he did and even gets to keep running blizzard looks like it's time to permanently cut ties with the company
That's all this was about in the first place, the state just needed more money.
$18m is nothing.
