I didn't mind you guys picking interesting stuff from reddit, but the question in the article title has been asked daily for a decade. You wrote an article to answer literal spam. Someone somewhere in the world is typing this question right now and getting ready to post it to r/wow or the wow forums.
Definitely not. The whole expansion is designed to artificially force you to take longer to do anything. Time gate after time gate, with transportation purposely broken.I'm not even sure waiting until (if) there is flying in Shadowlands that it will improve anything.
16 year vet here. I would argue the new player experience and the leveling process has never been better. Super friendly for new players, and an absolute great time to get into the game.
No. First time in 13 years I have no active sub. Had a break between for sure, but always with a running sub. But now it's over, Shadowlands and nearly everything Blizzard does is just sh*t. Endgame sucks, and luckily Blizzard refunded 6months of my year sub so I could stop it now :)- I don't see it NOT from a new player perspective, the new start zone is pretty cool -
To know: the game is imbalanced in pvp and pve and some classes have the shord end of the stick. So unless you are playing one of the classes identified as good/great in your type of content, you will struggle with groups and ultimately gearing.
I'm going to say no. I started a new character a couple of weeks ago because I was getting nowhere with Havoc DH and between grinding the covenant campaign, renown, the Maw, Torghast for the legendary, grinding anima, I threw in the towel entirely. There is just so much to do if you did not start at the first of the patch that I don't find it worth it. I admit that there is some bias here because I thoroughly despise the covenant system as it is right now, so I am already not happy with the expansion. I've considered not returning until either they make adjustments to the covenant system or when we are able to fly, which is one of my favorite aspects of the game.
Is Shadowlands a Good Time to get back into WoW? Popular WoW fansite asks whether WoW players should return to the game they are already playing.
worst expansion so far. never would i have thought to ever say that battle for azeroth is not the worst expansion.
Still absurd that people voted for another gronn reskin instead of ANY of the original ideas from the mount contest.
no sorry shadowlands is the worst wow expansion since its the current one but it will be the last good expansion once it endstime is a flat circle
No. the story of Shadowlands is horrendous. The zones are boring and ugly. The Maw is the worst thing to ever happen to the game. Torghast is a joke. Gearing is terrible for everyone in pve. Even the raid is boring. Covenants are horrendous as well, needing players to put 16 different characters through the campaigns to unlock all the transmog.Shadowlands managed to be worse than WoD.
You guys are the 50cent army of the Blizzard Communist Party.-Yeah, the art is great in Ardenweald, okay in Bastion, some dungeons are nice, but most of the environment is objectively garbage. The Maw? Pfft.-The storytelling is ATROCIOUS. The whole campaign has one nice moment, which is the quests around the procession of Ysera and the night fae theatre. SL's story is full of dumb writing, colossal plotholes, continuity errors, artificial secrets and so on. The writing is A-W-F-U-L.-Shadowlands is objectively the most complained about, least fun expansion - even worse than BFA, and that is saying something...-The group finder is atrocious. Blizzard doesn't know how to design a proper system here. It does NOT facilitate the social aspect of the game. It's ridiculously hard to find groups of your own level, regardless of what level you are playing at.
yes, and a better time is to never leave wow in the first place
Ehhhhh... sure? Absolutely not for endgame content though.
