"There is more focus on the open world, with dangerous areas that will encourage grouping up, but without requiring specific roles."All I think of is ZMs boss rotation is what he is referring to.Sounds like they cut the minigame out of the expansion.
It's sad that they won't be filling the Torghast void, I think Torghast was finally getting to a good place with the Tower Knowledge system and the boss rush mode. One idea floating around was a Caverns of Time style Torghast where each floor transports you to a different place and time all across the history of Azeroth.
These are all the stuff we heard before pretty much but I don't like they are not doing solo/small party instanced content like Torghast or Visions. Those were good types of content (Torghast since 9.1, not so much at launch) and I don't think that elite world quests or whatever are a good replacement. Speaking of replacements and content in general if they are not spending time on any borrowed power systems and they are not developing any additional instanced content (beyond a raid and 8 dungeons which we always get) what else are they working on? The only feature besides revamped talents that they announced was a gliding mini game and that couldn't have taken that much of their resources so where is the content, what else are we getting? Are we going in a direction where Swtor went where every expansion we get less and less content compared to previous expansion for the same price?
"The Dracthyr were originally created by Neltharian the Earthwarder (presumably before he went insane and became Deathwing the Destroyer) as the perfect fusion of dragons and humanity, explaining why they use powers from multiple dragonflights."humanity didnt exist before neltharion became deathwing, as he became corrupted in the war of the ancients, so they were created BEFORE WoTA, when the only races were tauren/troll/maybe nelfs.so dracthyr are half dragon half elf/troll? just bipedal better chromatic dragons? jesus the storytelling is so bad
so with the mythic plus talk what happens if your best trinket comes from a dungeon that isnt in the pool for the season do i have to go farm it on mythic zero and then upgrade it with valor ? or will all loot from the new dragon flight dungeons come from my great vault giving me a chance at a BIS item hope this all works out in the long run.
Sounds like new group content will be lacking with just 4 new dungeons, which is pretty much the primary game time for me. Probably spend more time in m+ than i do 2 night a week raiding.
So, instead of trying to please both camps, the hardcore raiders and the more casual small group and solo players, we just completely remove any secondary activity and limit people to two types of endgame content without anything to fill the gaps..? Hmm.
About the ''open world'' and azeorth itself, let quote m previous comment on another post
So I'm getting the feeling that they haven't really rethought the endgame at all - it's still M+/raid/rated PvP they're pushing people towards. I had really hoped they would shake that trinity up a bit, especially because they admit they know running the same dungeons over and over gets old.
There is more focus on the open world, with dangerous areas that will encourage grouping up, but without requiring specific roles. So more areas just flooded with elites like Desmotaeron? Cos that ain't fun.
"Players will see how Ysera's journey in the Shadowlands has impacted her"She's dead isn't she? Like dead dead? No coming back? Did I miss something in the story somewhere that said she is somehow alive and can leave the Shadowlands?
I'm 100% ready for M+ Deadmines. *jumps into a cannon to pew pew the pirates*
