If u done the quest already u need to make a ticket to get the transmorg back.
Welp, booty bay gonna be F*cked for the next month.
Was so happy to find these in my bank. I thought id have to farm this again as I spent like 9 hours farming this very quickly respawning quest giver. It was only 5 rep per kill, but i didnt have to go anywhere.Removed
Tfw already exalted with both the Bloodsail Buccaneers as well as all the Steamwheedle cities AND kept the common rewards from the quest to unlock immediately when 10.0.5 dropped.Exalted with the Bloodsail requires killing the bruisers in unphased Booty Bay- the best time to do so is at the end of an expansion when you're strongest compared to standard elite mobs. I managed this during 8.3, so had the benefit of Heart of Azeroth Essences and Corruptions, but it should be possible during any late expansion period. You can also regain rep with the Steamwheedle, even up to Exalted, without having to drop your Bloodsail rep. There are various groups of pirates near both Ratchet and Gadgetzan, and the Venture Company mobs near Booty Bay, but ultimately the place you'll be stuck at is Lost Rigger Cove in southeast Tanaris, killing the Southsea Freebooters. They will give rep with all four cities all the way to exalted, though it will take a LONG while. I recommend having a second/split monitor, playing a class that can easily kill all those mobs from a distance (I play a hunter) and watching some cartoons (watched like half of the Beast Wars show myself.)And make sure you've completed all the quests you can before moving onto grinding reputation, as most quests for these factions will harm the other, ruining the balance you've established.
Im glad i did it the old school way back in the day on my DK.
Maybe it's just me, but I always hated the way Bloodsail Buccaneers are implemented. It's the most annoying and broken rep in the game, the efforts and drawbacks required to grind it efficiently are absurd.Compare it to Ravenholdt, there is also a long and difficult grind involved, but it is uncomplicated and fair. You aren't losing any rep with a meaningful faction in the process, and don't have to grind it back after you're done.In my opinion, there should be a straightforward method to grind the Bloodsail rep without losing Cartel rep, no matter how long it takes.i'm extremely salty that I got to revered with all goblin reps and did all their quests before finding out you can kill the guards in the phased version of Booty Bay... and now hitting honored with Buccaneers is pretty much impossible for me.The hat and title never bothered me that much, but with the recent addition of the Pirate's Day toy and the cosmetic version of the Buccaneer outfit, I really wish I knew about the phased Booty Bay quest before I ruined my chance to earn them.
I love it ! This is another transmog that I really do not need, but by all means I want. Will have to work on my rep, so I can be eligible for this mog.
Really wish this was retroactively granted. I did this way back in BC, but I didn't keep the items since I was hoarding all sorts of other items that took bag space priority. Guess I'll try the ticket idea the other person suggested, but man. Things like this REALLY should have been retroactively granted.
I remember doing this grind the week achievements came out so I could get the title, dated 10/19/2008 for me. Fun grind, glad to finally be able to use the set.
I didn't do any of this pointless round-about way of getting reputation with Bloodsail.I opened up my Reputation tab. I selected the "At War" checkbox for Booty Bay. Promptly went around killing Bruisers in Booty Bay, who only ever spawned as level 35 Elites, which was cakewalk on my level 60 rogue. The only actual annoying thing I encountered was some Bruisers who would spawn and just spam me with a ranged attack that would knock me back a fair distance, but this could be countered by just never getting out of melee range of Bruisers who were attacking me. I farmed the Booty Bay Bruisers until I went from Hated to Friendly with Bloodsail, just so I could obtain the hat and title. And that's it. You don't need to do all these unnecessary quests. You don't need to try and get Booty Bay to be phased. I did this like three or four months ago, long before it was announced that white gear was going to be transmoggable in 10.0.5. Took me like 2 hours of looping Booty Bay.
This was litterally the FIRST thing I did when the new patch dropped.I had saved everything, pristine in the bag I got from "Dressin' The Part" for this moment.
