there seems to be no mention to when does this quest take place. probably after baine's capture and not before it. but does it make sense to have baine still in thunder bluff after he is fugitive or can we assume that this quest happens after BFa. etc. and if one has a Tauren who choose act against Baine probably spirits would know it. kinda weird questline to get heritage armor
I think that they've mentioned it on Twitch, that you need to do a bit of a campaign to get access to this quest.
This has to be after Baine breaks out, right? So is Thunder Bluff now a base for the proper Horde?
For what I saw in the video an considering the great history of the tauren, this questilne felt empty:1. Like others said, it's confusing when this happens, before or after the capture of Baine. It would be great point if they can make a dialogue indicating -somehow- this. Even if the quest opens after we help Baine get free, it would be interesting if he has some words about the whole situation, something more than he already said.2. Reading the quest and seeing the points of events, it's not totally clear why the spirits are restless, we only have Chieftain Iti warning us that "dark spirits are crossing into the mortal world". But why? connections with N'zoth? or maybe with Gorak Tul and the blights lands expanding in azeroth? or maybe a connection with the shadow lands and how?. The second event is defending Thunder Bluff and attack the malevolent spirit but once again...why? This part felt like a copy paste from the HM tauren recruit questline. Considering this, the final part was only a attack-restore-express gratitude. It cannot be just this. Take for example the questline of the heritage armor of blood elfs, they show us diferent points of the history of their race, what it took to keep them alive (pretty sure it was exciting seeing once again the attack of the scourge, at least for me it was awesome). Thinking in old players but also new players, this questline doesn't show anything of that, what it means to be a tauren, their principles, values, their devotion for the earth mother. Sure, the taurens don't have a story like belfs with suffering and massacre, but I suggest they can show for example the origins considering the taunka, the yaungol, as a race who moved trough azeroth in ancient times, they can also show precisely the belief of earth mother, a piece of it at least like what it means, what implies and how it connects with the tauren who choose to be shamans or druids.I hope they make changes in order to make us feel the heritage armor is more than just a questline, it comes with the heart of being a tauren.
i just ran this on the PTR. In my case, my spriit guide was an Ancient Plainstrider. My chieftain's name was also different.
As much as I think the heritage armour is awesome, I wish they had four different sets specific to armour types. I really want my Tauren Paladin to look like a Tauren AND a Paladin. Not a druid.
Where is my night elf herritage armor :// obviously wouldnt be even in 8.2.... insteed we will get gnomes armor which is bul$%^&...you cant see much of their armor anyway...sorry dwarfs, same ^&*!
Didn't Ion say at Blizzcon that the totem would be a cloak slot? And not linked to the chest piece?
yeah, the totem goes in the cloak slot and has nothing to do with the chest
I've done it on my tauren druid and got a gazelle as spirit guide.
