Meh, still feels like Engineering got a very short stick out of the bunch with this one...Here's hoping Engineering might get some wormhole generating love later down the line for some juicy travel joy.
So is this a worthy combat CD or...
So no hidden use or passive bonus? what a pile of crap, ENG went downhill ffs, the fact that we even have to craft something if we want to use the right summon is stupid af
Do we have an ETA on the next post of the Hunter Pet Series? Would be good to know how often they are intended to be released. Last one was almost 2 months ago! :(
I'm incredibly underwhelmed by this item and by Engineering as a whole this expansion. The spanner doesn't even have passive features like the various Gnomish army knives or older tools.
So no change at all since some months ago when I last read about it. I'll pass. They could've at least given it some passive that lets you get the mount mats out of other mechanical mobs. Or raise the chance to get them out of motherlode mobs to 100%.
Useless and requires dungeons to get. No thanks.
I get that some professions are going to get better stuff than others (even if only perceived as such) but I think it is cool that we're getting any of this at all.
Blizz, just do us all a favor and remove professions, it's obvious you don't know what to do with them, and are just screwing them up.I have leatherworking and I had already gotten better gear then what I could craft before the mats for the new gear were even available in game.
I must say this is... VERY disappointing. I do wish it had some kind of passive or whatever... I understand that the mechs this thing summons have to be balanced, but they simply seem weak and useless to the average player. The target dummy could be useful, I guess... As a long time WoW engineer, it just find this spanner lacking. We still haven't gotten any Wormhole gadget this expansion, not even a Blingtron, but we get this mostly useless thing. Cmon Blizzard :/
i like it, I hope we get to build our own mounts someday, from a selection of collected; crafted, looted, created, etc, parts; middle, top, bottom, with wheels and/or legs, hover thing, propeller etc - mix and match different sections to assemble a mount. then apply details and decals like paint job, stickers, plating, and ornaments. yes, please!
Well that was totally worthless, just like the tailoring one. Guess I wont be doing any of these. Ion really meant it when he said they didnt have a clue how to make professions better.
The leatherworking tool looked awful, and then I saw this one. Wow. There is a huge disparity between the good and bad tools. Is it too much to ask that every tool have something nice?
Kelani (SignsofKelani) did an overview of all the tools of the trade items. In his video, he evaluated both the usefulness of each profession item and how difficult it was to obtain the parts for them.Generally, anything that's from a dungeon boss is a 100% drop. Mob drops vary from low to very low drop rate.As for usefulness, Alchemy and Jewelcrafting are probably the most useful ones. Alchemy can boost proc rate on making pots/flasks for 1hr. JC allows reusing gems and getting more gems around BFA islands.Enchanting is good for the passive (at least initially) until you're saturated with crafting mats.Inscription has 1 good blood contract but considering the summoned NPCs are open world only, the usefulness is limited.Tailoring is hit/miss depending on how much you value cloth from previous expansionsBlacksmith was nerfed to only repair 1 item (from repair all items) on a 1 hr CD.
I expected nothing and am still disappointed.
