I am just glad that added the drop-down menu to select the expansion you are crafting from, minimizing all the other expansions to work out of a past expansion was such a pain.
looks kind of like they took the crafting technique from D3 slapped a new coat of paint on it and added some shiny decals and plan to sell it to WoW fans as "something different" but i cant say it wasnt a surprise they are taking this route considering the team currently developing WoW used to be heading up Diablo 3 having been moved over from that franchise a few years ago
Crafting in SL was a complete and utter failure. The EXP system was complete garbage. No one, except for turbo goblins and whales were able to effectively craft base items without being drained of their gold. The worst part, is the market became so saturated with base items that every craft was sold at a huge loss to initial investment. The 400% boost in experience is a bandaid on a gunshot wound. It should be 1 craft to level up. Too late though, the damage has been done. Literally NO ONE is going to invest in base item crafting at this point in the expansion when you can just buy off the AH for much cheaper.
I do hope all those extra 0-3 grade raw mats don't mean another 1-3 bags slots taken up.I didn't see if they've added some kinda UI based 'reagent bag', if not it could be a nightmare for gatherers...especially the longer-time players with a shed load of random stuff laying about :p
The Gilnean top hat, the bandit mask, the Haliscan stuff...Hell, it's about time.
IMO the only thing holding back on this patch being truly alt friendly is how expensive legendaries are. They've done some good things but at the end of the day I still have one character and it's because I look at a new character and think I must be really damn sure I want to play this character because it will cost me hundreds of thousands of gold to craft/buy the 3+ legendaries I will need to be competent in m+ and raid. This 400% buff needs to come out ASAP and legendaries should be made cheaper in addition to being easier to craft. Why do we have to wait until 9.2.5 for this?
So funny everyone complains about grinding rep but now you have to grind Professions lol.
this will basically destroy the market for anyone not at the top tier of crafting after the first couple of days. and has anyone really wanted the return of armorsmith / weaponspith ? It's bad enough still having Goblin engineering and Gnome engineering in 2022.
Blizz needs to play The Outer Worlds and just do that.
Those two in the second video are so %^&*ing awkward. Besides their stiff delivery, why are they talking about "best at what you do" when everyone's the same. It's not like you can reach a point where you're the single person on the server with the highest crafting level.I'm fine with lackluster videos and I'm fine with lackluster presenters, but not both.
This seems like a very bad thing it seems like it is going to make professions worthless for a lot of players while a few players get loaded from it
The assumption I have seen regarding the gray and white transmogs is that they will suddesly allow gray and white items to count. But, I would not be surprised if they make new green quality "cosmestic" versions of these items that we will all have to reobtain. That is how they have added new appearances in the past. Not going bonkers to hoard white items just yet...
Seems pretty safe to say there'll be no squish anywhere with this expac.
Hope they please make professions completely useful again. I miss being a swordssmith/hammersmith and making unique weapons for other players. Professions now are boring, and no one really needs them due to the way the loot system is. Archaeology needs to be fun (again) and produce results with higher change rates.
