a note for those with companions, like warlocks with summoned demons, for example ~grin~ When I picked up my cute wittle turtle to punt, and punted him into the water, I found my demon had been dismissed, so you'll have to summon your demon after every kick. Hopefully, this is a glitch they'll correct with a hotfix or something.

I wanted to do this daily since I saw the Blizz Blues with Darnell video about it on the PTR. It has replaced whacking pygmies with a big hammer as my favorite daily. I love the hell out of how damn FAR the turtles fly-it sometimes takes as long as 10 seconds for you to get credit for the turtle hitting the water! Great stuff.

Question. Is it possible to do this quest, along with the bear tossing one, more than once? After I completed it once, I noticed the achievement for those two but she hasn't offered a quest since. Am I too late?

It should also be noted that hitting Shift + V will show the turtle's nameplates, making finding them a lot easier.

If you're on a busy server and having to constantly fight to get to the turtles, this might help you. Camp at 24.7, 60.7 and wait for a Child of Tortolla to spawn. At this location you can ignore Flame Terrors as a Defender of Malorne will spawn and kill them for you. Just pick up the turtles and punt them into the water without even moving from the spot.

Unfortunately the defenders will not gank players who go into combat with you at this spot; you're still on your own there.

Note for those of us with summoned pets/companions:

Instead of having to either burn shards or recall, you can hop on your mount and hop right off again to re-gain your pet.

If I were to take a stab at it, I would say that there is a problem with their "Leave Vehicle" code, in that you see the vehicle UI pop up upon grabbing a turtle.

This trick does not seem to work, however, if you take the FP from Nordrassil to the Sanctuary...at least it was the case as of this morning on Trollbane.

when ever i do this quets i usualy run with the turtle yelling "HE CAN GO ALL THE WAY" and when i kick the turtle in the water i yell "KICK IS GOOD!"

If you punt the turtle onto a nearby elemental, it will....shoot up into the air and die...

Cant believe this has not been mentioned yet.

If you mount just as you tossed the turtle (most likely you will have this urge after throwing the last 1) you will not get credit for it.

No idea why this occurs but i noticed this several times

Now if you have a demon pet, upon punting they do not disappear, causing you to resummon them over & over & over & over & over, and rebuff them over & over & etc. Start of this year, they fixed it! :)

Not sure wether anything thought of this before, but i mightve found a eastern egg here. The sound that the turtle makes upon being kicked/thrown is quite similar to the sound that the turtle in an old Disney-Pluto episode makes (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wEVnRyUfoBw). Might be a long shot, but what caught my attention is why on earth would a turtle make such a sound? ;)

On a side note, does anyone else gets this "uh oh" feeling when you are somewhat overwhelmed by mobs and have to kick the turtle fast to be able to fight, and then you don't get credit for it? Meaning, you probably killed it on the rocks below.

Shamans, Warlocks and Hunters can cheat: While not in combat, use 정령 속박 / 추방 / 덫 발사 + 빙결의 덫* on a Flame Terror next to a turtle, run up to the turtle - the CC'ed elemental will go into combat, but you will not -, pick it up, kick it into the water, mount and fly up - the elemental resets.

* Sadly, the CD makes it not as effective as the other two, but you can skip every other Terror that way, if you're going for time efficiency.
