The Deepseeker Crabs are combat pets for the Idra'kess Harpooner naga. They patrol on the outer rim of Nespirah's insides. Kill the naga first before using the net on the crab. You don't need to be out of combat to use the net.

This is bugged on the Beta. All the mobs fall through the world.

If you want to complete it, go to the southern part you can see from the map. There will be a spawn close to the brain where you talk to Nespirah.

Basically head south, and just past the south western exit, at the highest point before it goes down a Harpooner will pat. Pull the harpooner and kite towards the exit, it will fall through the world but be able to catch up to you right near the exit before you go out into the water. The deepseeker crab will follow, and you can catch it using the net, then loot the crab to complete the quest.

You will probably have to do this until its fixed.

This may also help: the mobs seem to drop beneath the floor when their targets move during combat. So if you stand where one appears, or run up to it fast (no charging!) and fight it without moving, the mob will likely not drop, and you can get the crab in or out of combat.

The previously-mentioned bugs were fixed when I did this quest. The crabs patrol around the raised rim of the structure with their "handlers" who you can kill, but just toss the net on the crab and loot him with a right-click when the little gear wheel appears. A very quick and simple quest.

By the way, don't hang around on this rim. There are constant patrols and I got attacked by three mobs while I was typing this.

As a mage, I was able to polymorph the harpooner. That gave me more than enough time to net the crab, loot it, and flee. So no, you don't have to kill the naga, you just have to neutralize it somehow.

Jasna had the best advice! My lvl81 Warrior-Fury, got upon a ledge by where a Naga and crab patrol in the area Jasna said, "clicked" the net after I selected the Crab! Then fought the Naga, to death, but the Crab broke out or timed whichever,but right before finishing the Naga, "clicked" the Crab, then the Net! Finished the Naga off, then "clicked the Crab to get the information, then turned in the quest, as the Questor was only a little ways away! Simple as PIE!

Pick it up fairly quickly, or it will just become attackable again and you will have to wait until the net fades off.
