This is one of the 4 drake mounts new in cataclysm. These come from:

Reins the Drake of the West Wind - Exalted with Tol Barad (Hellscream's Reach or Baradin's Warders)
Reins of the Drake of the South Wind - Rare drop from Al'Akir (raid boss)
Reins of the Drake of the North Wind - Rare drop from Altarius in Vortex Pinnacle
Reins of the Drake of the East Wind - Reward from Glory of the Cataclysm Raider

i do got mine Friday the 17th :) did every daily and and never missed a TB battle at all in total 8 days to get exalted and with out using any of my commendations for rep, need only 5 commendations after i got exalted so 5 daily :) and yeah

To be fair, none of the screenshots above really do it justice at just how neat this drake is. It looks much more massive then any other drake (aside from the other Wind drakes), and it's color sets it apart from the other three.

It takes obviously 200 commendations and Exalted Rep with Tol Barad.

My hints are to participate in this battleground as much as possible. It's possible to get Exalted rep really easily if you do. It took me much longer to get all the commendations then it did to get Exalted.

Also, in addition to the dailies on the peninsula island, there are two npcs in Baradin Hold.

One npc will offer three quests which will always involve killing crocs, leftover enemy faction npcs in the fortresses, and killing an elite.
These quests are:
A Huge Problem
Swamp Bait
The Leftovers

The other npc can be one of 3 NPCs, all of which have their own dailies. Each NPC has 3 dailies. I went ahead and listed all 9 possible dailies from these npcs.

Also, You can only turn in the 3 dailies you unlock from him when that prison is unlocked. This means that if you get the daily to kill the demons in the demon-filled prison, you will only be able to turn in that quest when that prison remains open. If your faction wins again, but a different prison is unlocked at that time, you will not be able to turn in the demon-prison dailies.

The sets of 3 quests are as follows:

Set 1: Demon Prison
Cursed Shackles
D-Block
Svarnos

Set 2: Ghost Prison
Clearing the Depths
Learning from the Past
The Imprisoned Archmage

Set 3: Warden's Prison
Food from Below
Prison Revolt
The Warden

Finally, you obtain 3 commendations per victory.

My hints are to participate in this battleground as much as possible. It's possible to get Exalted rep really easily if you do. It took me much longer to get all the commendations then it did to get Exalted.

Actually just get the rep for free while grinding the commendations, should hit exalted before you get 200.

I recently got this baby and I still can't stop just hitting auto run (fly) in any given direction, hitting ctrl+z and just pivoting my camera around it. It simply looks amazing. That and a few more pleasant surprises have realy given me back the faith in the Blizzard designer team.

But back on topic.
If you, like me, prefer wind drakes to stone drakes, this one is the easiest to get. Perhaps even the easiest Cata mount to get all around.
It will take you a week or so of doing every available daily and maybe even bumrushing a few TB battles (unless you are lucky enough to actually get into one).
Don't make the same mistake I made. I thought the only dailys were the 6 or 7 dailys on the peninsula, there are 12 more on the island itself. Three of those being fixed and three times three additional quests on random cycle after a battle os over, note you can only do the island dailys if your faction wins the battle.

Buying Baradin's Wardens Commendations Baradin's Wardens Commendation with the Tol Barad Commedations is a BIG MISTAKE, DON'T DO IT! You will get exalted long before you get 200 commedations that are required for the mount.

As of 4.0.6, this drake now has lightning marks wrapping around the body. I assume that at some point it will actually move and crackle around it (as it looks a lot like the same lightning details added on the Spirit Beast, Skoll) as it appears to hover off the body if you look at the front claws. New screenshot just submitted, for those curious.

This mount (as said above many times) requires 200 Tol Barad Commendation to buy this mount. It also requires the buyer to be exalted with Baradin's Wardens. You can earn exalted by doing any of the quests listed in this achievement, Just Another Day in Tol Barad, each gives the player either 250 or 350 reputation, before adding any reputation bonuses from humans and guild. To be more specific, all the quests that are found on Tol Barad, i.e. Svarnos or A Huge Problem give 350 reputation, while the ones from Tol Barad Peninsula (But not all as Shark Tank gives 350 and is from the Peninsula) give 250 rep each. That's the easy part, while then you need to earn the actual commendations. These are earned a multitude of ways, either from:

-Winning Tol Barad
-Doing the Tol Barad Dailies
-Doing the Tol Barad Peninsula Dailes
-Completing Victory in Tol Barad

Each Tol Barad win awards 3 Commendations, each weekly "Victory in Tol Barad" quest gives 3 commendations, while most of the Tol Barad and Tol Barad Peninsula quests give 1 commendation (Again Shark Tank is special, awarding 2 commendations) each. So with a guaranteed 6 quests per day (if you only do peninsula quests) it would take 34 days to reach 200 Commendations. If perhaps you wait for Tol Barad cap every day, but do not participate, you would be getting 12 per day (up to 18 if you go back and do all 9 different rotating Tol Barad quests) which would take 17 days (or 12 if you're getting really lucky). And then of course if you actually participate and win Tol Barad countless times and do all the quests, we'll say 3 for the sake of numbers here. You could be earning the Drake of the West Wind in 8 days.

Needless to say you will be earning Exalted with Baradin's Wardens before you hit 200 commendations. I myself was at 124 commendations when I hit exalted, so you'll be working some extra days after you get exalted with the Wardens. With that said, it's imperative that you DO NOT buy Baradin's Wardens Commendation as you are going to reach exalted far beyond when you gain the 200 commendations, and this would burn 10 of your commendations, which could be a whole day or more of farming that you don't want to do.

It should only take 10 days to get or maybye 12, But if u do the dailies at the camp and then if u win the battle then there is another 6 Dailies there were u ress if u are controlling so that 12 a day alltogetheer!

As of the most recent patch, the ribbons around the drake's neck are now a light red in colouration, even for alliance. They might have been trying to make different skins for Horde and Alliance but because of a bug everyone ended up with the red. Not sure, but that's my speculation.

Achieve-able in a matter of 2 weeks that's the time i got it in .
Also i didn't do the battle of tol barad just had the luck my faction always controlled it
