Maybe best paladin ring atm? 27 int = alot with healing and mana. it also have nice critt rating 24. and whole 64 healing on it. Imba stats for paladins. But still missing MP5:(

Being a holy paladin myself, and having won this ring last night's raid, I've began theorycrafting about it's effectiveness, and the combination with any other ring.

As mentioned somewhere among these comments, spell crit is not as effective mana regen as mana per five seconds would be, for the sole reason crit needs you to cast. When you don't cast, you don't regen. I've found a most effective balance, which is 120 MP5 buffed, and 25% holy crit. Combine that with chain potting and you can seriously spam holy light for a good 1k healing per second.

Now, I've got this ring combined with the Ring of Flowing Light, which gives me a good 46 spell crit rating from my rings only. I tend to use this combination the most in healing intensive fights, while going for MP5 in fights such as supremus.

In the occasion of survivability, the Blessed band of Karabor combined with the Band of Eternity provides you with the perfect solution. A good 16 mana per second really adds to your survivability.

What needs to be said though, is that haste rating improves the effective mana regen from critical spells. So it all depends on whether you've got a lot of spell haste rating, or hardly any spell haste at all which would benefit you most as an individual.

For the paladins without too much spell haste, and progressing through Black Temple, this is without doubt one of the best available paladin rings in game obtainable at this point.

Just plain crap..

Do the maths: 1% Spellcrit comes to 5mp/5 at the most (and this assumes casting 2 fol and 1 Holy Light in 10sec- over a 10-minute bossfight even this is not realistic) and an additional 7 healimprove on average (assuming around 1900 base healimprove)

The reward ring for maggis head is better overall..I even prefer the heroic badge healer ring

I wont go into detail since every paladin who is in BT should understand the underlying maths without explanation.
I cant understand why they added so much items with crit only for us - after illu nerf these are plain dissloot. Best examples: shoulders from Morogrim, every plate healing belt from BT, felstone bulwark (what a @#$%ty item compared to the Aegis of the Vindicator)
I was a big fan of crit once - but after calculating every possible Scenario I came back to the gool old (and f*ckin boring) mp/5..

So you're saying anything with 1% crit sucks? It all depends on what gear you already have. As a paladin it's best to even everything out between mp5, crit, and +healing, and this ring definitely helps with that.

Calculation for spellcrit benefits:
x% spellcrit gives:
x% chance on 50% extra healing at 40% mana costs

Healing per mana increases the more spellcrit u got. The healing per mana increase of ur spellcrit can be calculated as follows:
(100%+0,5*spellcrit%)/(100%-0,6*spellcrit%)-100%

for example if u got 10% spellcrit ur healing per mana is increased with 11,7% (1,17% per spellcrit). If u got 40% (like me on holy light) healing per mana is increased with 58% (1,45% per spellcrit). As a holy paladin u must strive to get as much spellcrit as possible, as healing per mana increases alot at high spellcrit (up to 270% at 100% spellcrit). And please don't argue with me about this, cuz this are the maths that prove spellcrit is still the most important stat for holy pala, even after Blizzard nerfed illumination.
