Great rogue throwing weapon. Very nice for pulling in solo PvE, very quick speed. The stamina and AP are a nice side for more survivability and more melee damage, which we all know rogues low. Decent deadly throw damage. Very nice weapon indeed.

This is horrible for a gruul drop. It doesnt even come close to felsteel whisper knives for pve. It has its uses in pvp, but since when did a guild that downs gruul care about pvp.

Terrible throwing weapon. Stats are subpar for both pve and pvp for rogues (compared to Felsteel Whisper Knives for pve and Gladiator's throwing weapon for pvp)
If a warrior really wanted it, they could just get netherstrike (15? crit rating instead of the attack power) and shard this for guild enchants.

As with instant melee attacks regarding weapon speed, would the low wep speed factor into how much damage Deadly Throw yields? And DT also factor in the tiny bit of lag time it takes before you actually throw the weapon?

Why was this item neglected for the 2.1 epic item buffs? All non-teirset epics from Gruul were supposed to be buffed to item level 125.
As it stands, Shuriken of Negation is still item level 100. Xavian Stilletto from Terestian Illhoof got buffed to item level 115.... should a Karazhan item really be higher item level than Gruul loot?

Seriously, any blue throwing weapon is better than this, and easier to obtain.

definitely the best ranged weapon a fury warrior can get pre vashj. The shuriken has the highest AP of any thrown or ranged weapon, though good alternatives come from Prince or Big Bad Wolf in Kara. And don't for get Arena throwing axe as a great alternative.

The raiding fury warrior prioritizes AP first, crit second, and hit last. However, once you start getting into Hyjal and BT, AP and Crit are equally important with hit always last in priority. So once you get Vashj down, definably get her Bow which comes with both high crit and AP.

Why I switched from Crossbows, Bows and Guns to Throwing.

1) Casting time:
"Shoot" (Bows, Crossbows, Guns)
1.5 Second Casting time
1.4 Second Cooldown

"Throw" (Throwing Axes, Knives,...)
0.5 Second Casting time
1.4 Second Cooldown

To me the casting time is what's important, the cooldown/reload time is almost meaningless in most PvP situations where there's really only 1 shot. A normal shoot will take a 3x as long for the first shot - it's really a question if the player will run out of range, or back in so it'll be too close to shoot. Either way, you won't get a shot and the player you should've killed is still alive.

Standing there for 1.5 seconds doesn't seem a lot, but in the heat of a fight it's a very long time. Waiting and standing still in the open leaves yourself open for an attack.

2) A unique skill uses them:
Deadly Throw. A ranged, finishing move. The only ranged finishing move we have. Heck it's the only ranged attack that's not considered "General".

3) It Doesn't take up a couple bag spaces for arrows/bullets.

4) Replenishes durability by repairing

5) They have stats now.

6) They look cool when thrown. I have a Needle Strike, it looks like a metalic, blue glowing blip. Better then the ice arrows since I'm guessing all of the thrown look differnt.

As far as a Rogue weapon goes this is pretty lackluster especially since its not getting a much needed boost in stats during the patch. Sunfury Bow of the Phoenix will sport 19agility and 34ap making it a far more attractive choice as a mainstay range weapon whereas the shuriken might get some use soloing or PvPing to utilize deadly throw and the sta boost.
