You will find Serena Bloodfeather all the way North of where you did the following quests:

You will be able to tell it is her area by the big tree with all of the webs hanging from the branches. She will be surrounded by 4-6 other Harpies. I was able to solo pull her after killing only 2 of the regular mobs.

As you head towards Serena's location, you will pass through an area of harpies that contained stealthed units and a patroling elite harpy, so make sure you watch out for them so as to avoid unnecessary complications.

Zovirax is used for killing herpes.

There is a giant mountain ledge behind the harpy area that you can easily use to avoid almost all of the harpies. I just headed up the mountain, ran around, killed 1 harpy, then killed her. Even though the running is a bit longer, the time you save in not having to kill everything is golden.

This may be fun Quests as level 17 Hunter, i got good XP of clearing all the mobs there, if u dont want to kill alots of mobs, go near the mountains. :)

Serena is in the north west of the barrens with all the other harpies. I was able to run through their camp, kill one harpie, then i was able to pull serena and killed her with my Level 18 Shaman. Very easy quest.

This horrible quest chain remains in Cataclysm. There is no longer a follow up quest after completing it.

I wish Blizzard had removed this chain because all it consists of it running back and forth trying to collect items that drop inconsistently off scattered mobs.

That and there are no other quests in the area to complete.

Note: this chain is required to get the achievement Northern Barrens Quests

You don't need Cosmos to figure out cords. Just know that the first number is 1-100% left to right across the map and the second number is 1-100% top to bottom.
50,50 is dead center, 1,100 is bottom left corner and 100,1 is top right.

Darsok Swiftdagger (the quest-giver) can be found in the Cross Roads at the top of the watch tower right outside of the inn.

She's in the Dry Hills, quite obviously. If you look at the world map, you notice the two tree shapes on it in the NW area.. I found her around the location of the tree Northern-most on the map. I was too lazy to fight my way in and out, so ended up skirting the hill tops and dropping right in from the North. She seems rather attached to her fellow harpy ladies, but I managed to pick off a lvl 17 Slayer next to her which attracted her attention, but at lvl 18 I found it easy enough to take on the two. (I did have a pet as my punching bag though.) Just watch out for them when they run off, no doubt it'll attract a lot of attention around this area so try rooting her to the spot as much as possible or killing her off quick. Not a bad quest and I've found the higher lvl harpies around that area drop some nice items too.

If you go up the hills (there's several spots where the slope is gentle enough that you can climb all the way up) you can follow a ledge all the way around the top of the hills and drop down to the tree from behind. There are only about four mobs behind her, which you can easily pull one at a time until it's just Serena left, and she's an easy kil after that. Then either fight your way out again, or just hearth.

I can confirm the location 39,12. She is lvl 20 and when I killed her with my 22 Tauren Druid she was alone.. I sneaked up on her and killed her in 10 secs

That was VERY easy. I am level 20, I traveled up the mountains and went around the back, avoiding all the mobs out front, then once I was north of Serena in the mountains, I came down behind the huge tree there, killed a couple level 17s in my way, then came around and attacked her, she attacked me all alone with no adds. Once done I hearthed back.

It was the easiest quest of this chain. I spent more time getting there than actually killing her and her minions. :)

As a newly-minted level 19 Rogue I owned Serena severely. Running on the mountains, while dull, is definitely the way to go.

Serena is in front of the southeastern face of the tree, and I came down on the north side and circled around. Just pull Harpys into the little pockets that the mountains make and slaughter them one by one. Be on the lookout though for the Harpy Ambushers... especially if you're a Rogue. Not only are they level 18, but they can break your stealth or add to a fight at very inconvenient moments.

Serena herself was easier than some of her level 17 underlings. I didn't use anything exotic... no fancy strategies; 4 Sinister Strikes, a Gouge and an Eviscerate, and Serena Bloodfeather slept with the birds... err... fishes.

She seemed to have trouble hitting me and doing any kind of siginificant damage... while I'm not complaining, it was odd. I kept on waiting for her to pull out some crazy curse or attack, but it never happened, so I just stacked up combo points until I had 5 and ripped her to shreds.

When i fought her i didnt actually realise i was fighting her, she looks so much like one of the windwalkers or whatever they are ^.^

and yeh for those who dont have co-ordinate addons or cant figure em out, just head to the most north tree on the map which at first i though was a star but yeh thats the one, she is out front >.<

I didn't see any elite but I just killed serena and she's a regular old 20 with a couple of 17's surrounding her. Pick off the 17s and then draw her out with a distance weapon or spell. Confirmed coords at 39, 11.

Serena is a level 20 harpie, quite easy to kill as i was level 23, but i stayed around a tiny bit longer, hurted, and a harpie ambusher came and hit me, cruelly, from the back.Serena is just nearby a huge tree, with a lot of harpie cages hanging from it.If you look, you can find a chest, as well, which gave me tin ore(?).Fun.

i killed her as a lvl 19 warrior, she was tougher than i was expecting... only becuz she dodged / parried about 9/10 of my attacks... but that just means more Overpower... i got her down to 4% health then she ran to like 2 others, i killed her and her groupies killed me, she doesn't do anything special besides this howl thing aand hits for like 15 dmg. :)

About 39.18 is right but if you cant find then do /target Serena Bloodfeather i had problems by finding it and it helped alot did it on a lvl 21 druid so it was way to easy

She's not elite anymore, so they may have nerfed this one

The coords are 39,12. I did this as a lvl 21 tauren druid. I used prowl to pass through all of the mobs. Serena is surrounded by 5 or 6 lvl 16-18 slayers and windcallers. I used faerie fire to pull each mob away so I only had to face one at a time. I tried this quest as a few weeks ago as a lvl 16 orc warlock and it was very difficult and time consuming.

39,12 is the correct loc, you will need to do a bit of clearing and watch out for the elite but fairly easy quest

Did it as a lvl 18 hunter very easy just go to her trough the side of the mountain to avoid the other harpies,watch out for the elites..

twice i've been there and run into her and got slaughtered at low level

once when i didnt need to kill her

now i need her, no-where to be found, the 3 prev times all at the same place. she must spawn every few hours or so, i hung round for an hour...ah well

Did this one solo with L20 hunter - easy, dropped down in from the plateau above, killed 3 lower levels and then her. Nice reward and nice points!

I got a trial account, 2 days ago.. Quite newbie, going to buy the game tomorrow..
I did the 2 missions before as a 15 and now 16 druid.. Going after Serena mission , hope I´ll make it.. Had problems killing of the 20leveled mob in dry hills, so I hope this one is not higher.. Glad we druids can battle in bear form and then heal ourselfes..=)

She is located at 39, 12 (in the back of dry hills on the farthest tree on your map) I wasn't really sure what to look for, but she looks like a windcaller but she is a SLIGHTLY lighter blue...very hard to tell though. There is a lot of clearing that needs to be done but they are all spaced far enough apart. Simple yet fun.

Did this soloing with my Hunter at level 20. Easy to do but a pain in the butt to get there and kill off all the yard trash. Once cleared Serena is easy with a pet and plenty of bow action. I used Immolation Trap then Concussive Shot, Serpent Sting and finally Arcane Shot before she got close enough for my melee action. To get there travel to the far northwest part of the Barrens to the Dry Hills. She's in a camp to the far north of the immediate area.

My result:

If you're in a hurry and don't mind not grinding your way in or out, you can climb the hills surrounding the Harpy area and come down into a protected area where you don't have to worry about what can come at you from behind. Once you clear the area of all the stealthed and roaming Harpies, it's pretty easy to get Serena. I usually go up just a little north of Honor's Stand - the smoldering watch tower.

Pwned her good too- found at 39,12. Make sure to clear area before attempting to pull...Just go back up the mountain to escape- no need to fight your way out.

Cordinates are correct 39.11. Used my wand to pull one at a time. Set my Voidwalker on passive till they were isolated then set back to defensive. Killed three this way then pulled Serena. There is an ambusher about so be warned. Never did see sister Rathalon, Thank the gods!

Run up the hill spine at 43,14. You won't quite get to the top but cut to the left near the top and you can get up that way. Run to 38,8 and run down that way. This will bring you up behind the gigantic tree that she is on the other side of. Pull mobs one at a time and then pull her back around behind the tree. Reasonably easy fight for a 20 mage. Leave the same way you came in.

Serena Bloodfeather is the sister of a harpy named Bloodfeather who was slain by Rexxar quite a while ago. Apparently, these attacks on the Horde caravans are revenge for her sister's death.

I need you to slit her throat and bring me back her head. I want to place it on the next caravan we send out... Give those harpies something to think about.
