We've made this one in a group of 4 with lvl range 32-34, mage, rouge and 2 palas. We were lucky to get the sigil soon, though, cos the mobs are pretty tough there.

I soloed this as a lvl 38 MM hunter. It did take awhile for the thing to drop but I also managed to grab Marez Cowl at the same time. :) Not to mention the loot wasn't half bad. If you keep a full mana bar, use track hidden, and pull carefully you should be able to do it.

Solo as level 36 Hunter. Got the Sigil on the 8th kill. It dropped off of a Male Rogue.

For the Hunters: Turn on Detect Hidden. Go in the entrance to Stromgarde, there will be a bridge that goes over your head, just past that is an intersection with a Syndicate Warlock and Voidwalker to the left. You want to avoid that area as there are a number of stealthed rogues in that area. If you aggro one, they all come. Pop a flare in the intersection and pick off the lone rogues that are in the intersection. They are level 37 Elites so Rapid Fire helps if it's available. Make your way up the RIGHT side of the road, through the intersection until just before you get to the top of the incline. If you go up the left side you will aggro a the same bunch near the warlock. You should see two stealthed rogues hiding at the top of the hill behind the walls just to the left and right of the road. Take them one at a time. I just went back and forth on this road killing respawns until the Sigil dropped. Elapsed time about 15 minutes.

I was on this one for about a week, checked here to see if there was a certain place or person I had to take out, and when I went back on, only took me about 3 kills then it dropped. Overall, I would say about 150 kills. Also, downloaded the updated version today.

Must've gotten lucky on the drop rate, I was there no more than 10 minutes when I got the drop. Probably killed about 5 prowlers, 5 thieves and 2 conjurors to get it.

Can't really say anything new to this: you just need some luck. It took me around 5 kills.

Watch out for Ally players btw, they tend to hang around quite often. And the Stromgarde Calvalry guys, three lvl 37 mobs.

got the item on my second day of farming... ground for about an hour last night and got it first kill today.
be ready for some farming, but don't give up. the grind is some good xp, especcially if your rested, and the rest of the chain is good as well.

The sigil of Strom drops off of the Syndicate guys at Stromgard Keep (26,59). When you enter the Keep take your first left and start killing as you move down that lane. After completing the quest, the game said, "Reputation with Darkspear Trolls increased by 250."

Hahaha, not to be rude, but I just barely did this quest as a level 41 Warlock and it dropped on my very first kill. Make sure you go after the Conjurer's first. They are the ones with the highest drop rate and they were what dropped the Sigil for me.(##RESPBREAK##)8##DELIM##ElhonnaDS##DELIM##

Don't make the mistake I did... I was killing anything I could find including the Defenders. This thing drops only off of Syndicates so make sure you stick to them. Once I started doing that, the drop rate went up haha. I got it after probably 20 kills. Not horrid.

Solo'd with a 37 druid and got it from a Syndicate Conjuror on 7th kill, keep to the central road if your by yourself and pick off the Prowlers that patrol down that way, you can drag them off to the first level from the second and then off towords the defenders, but be sure not to get too close being that they or the 38+ ogre that patrols right there can get you. As well watch out for the 38+ Knight that partols on horseback with 3 36+ guards, he comes in and out the defenders area and out the front gate. Once you pull out a couple of prowlers out and dispose of them, you can pick at the Conjuror on the second level to the left (thats where i got mine, fyi the minions a wuss 36) but if you try this STAY TO THE WALL FARTHEST FROM THE KEEP, there are at least two more Prowlers against the wall for the keep at any time. The key as they said before is taking em one at a time, if you aggro a group bolt out the front gate and come back later.

Tbh its an easy quest now. As 39 paladin I was killing groups of 5 or 6 at a time with no problems. Got the drop on about 50th kill but no problem....got 1/2 a level and some nice blue boE boots.

I went though the castle and killed everyone and didn't get it. So I checked my queslt helper and it was showing outside of the castle so I went out and found it.

EASIEST WAY TO GET THIS:

Come in the gates and head to the castle entrance. When you get there turn left BEFORE going up the stairs into the castle. Go to the corner and turn right. There is a demolished build there that had a thief and conjurer when I was there. I watched two guys doing the same quest kill those guys and get the Sigil, so I killed them and got it off of the Conjurer. Saw a couple other people running around told them where to go and all 3 of them got it off those two guys.

It may drop randomly, but for it to drop on the same mob 6 times of 6 spawns, seems a little less than random.

No promises, but certainly worth a shot.

It took me between 20 to 30 kills (and 2 deaths) for it to finally drop off one of the Syndicate stalkers before the castle steps.

It's really quite rare, not like usual quest items which drop frequently.

It seems to me that most people find it on either the first thief on the left or the magus inside the barn down the path to the left before the stairs. I found it once on my 36 rogue and on my 33 pally. both were on the magus but i know people who fond it on the thief. Glory to the Horde! :P

From reading the comments, I thought I was going to be in for a long, frustrating drop quest.

But it turned out I was lucky too.

When entering Stromgarde, pass underneath a bridge and take a left. You should see a patrolling Syndicate theif and Syndicate caster with her minion. I killed both of them, and the Sigil dropped off the theif.

Solo'd as a 35 hunter.

p.s., beware of the patrols that enter the keep every once in a while. Normally there are three on horseback.

best to go in and nail the place with a party - it will proves loads faster, I did it solo at L43 and it took about 30mins to drop, killed around 20 enemies.

Thanks to the recent patches that have done away with many elite mobs, and greatly increased experience gain at low levels, there is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON to put up with "never-drop" quests like this one. Just move right along.

well, i were on this quest as a lvl 32, i hada lvl 60 m8 with me , but after 3 hours grinding we gave up, we killed around 300++ with mobs , but it didnt drop, laods of silk and greens though..

Tried this at 33 w/ a 42 war, 33 war, and a 36 war...

All I have to say is, watch out for the 3 alliance on horse back o_o

Started soloing the front mobs at 35, frost mage. There is a stealthed mob to the left when you come in, repeated frost bolt and frost nova, with occasional fireBLAST thrown in, kiting him towards entrance, continue up the middle isle and repeat with other stealthed mobs. I tried the conjurer's once or twice but had to haul arse. Alliance and those damn 3 on horseback were only trouble. I did this when I didn't have group for some other quest so it took awhile. I did NOT try to go further in than this center isle. It didn't drop until not long after I leveled, if that gives you any indication of time.

This is easy at 37. I did this with another 37 druid. I'm a warlock. Only reason why I didn't finish it was because the Sigil never dropped. :P But, killing was easy. Until the mass Alliance came. ><

Don't even try this at Lvl 37, even with a couple of other 37's with you. Lots of stealth fighters and minions. Mobs group up on you in rooms.

Drops randomly from one of the syndicate. Didn't take too long for a 35 shadow priest, just make sure you don't accidentally pull two thieves at the same time...

Dropped by a Syndicate Rogue after about the 10th kill and lootable by all in the party. Our rogue was on the second tie toward the castle, not in it. He wsa behind a house at the end.

Do not bother with this quest unless you are simply desperate for Darkspear rep.

Blizz really needs to learn how to make appropriate rewards for these involved quest chains. These rewards are worse than thes tuff my warrior had at level 30.
Given you are farming elites for this quest, I would have at least expected blues as rewards.

The Sigil of Strom dropped off of a Syndicate Magus (29,62 - first floor) for me. Fairly random and "uncommon" drop.

Did this with my warrior in lvl 43.

When ok to take 2 and 2, but when 3 came it was just to run...

I whent defencive stance with 1h and shield. Worked just fine.
took a while till it dropped though, but more xp for me :)

Solo'd as a Level 32 Rouge took 6 kills and then it got dropped and i only died once because i aggro'd a few to many people. I wouldn't recommend trying this as a level 32 rouge but if you do just be careful and make sure to fight them one at a time.

Descrizione

In ancient times, trolls fought against the Arathorian Empire and our most capable adversary, Lord Ignaeus of Strom, named Trollbane. He rode into battle wielding Trol'kalar--troll slayer, in their ancient tongue.

But now the sons of Trollbane are weakened, their stronghold brought to ruin.

The sword is protected by several sigils that were divided among the survivors of Stromgarde, and we must retrieve them.

The first was taken by the Syndicate, one of their men in Stromgarde should have it.
