Ok, the whole "cove" thing is utter bull%$#!. The quest guy (girl actually) is at the Tidus Stair, which is the largest (still small) penninsula between Ratchet and Northwatch hold.(##RESPBREAK##)8##DELIM##Kangi##DELIM##

This part of the quest line used to be a real pain, due to the long journey through felwood and into the Barrens.

It's worth noting now that there is now a flight point in Felwood so don't go legging it, just hop on a bird and your there in no time ^^

If you have the FP to Ratchet, take it, even though it's Horde territory (for me anyway), it'll save you alot of time! Islen is located south of the FP, just follow the coastline; above coords are correct

And, <name>, ignore the pirates... they are but a nuisance and no threat to you.

This is one of the very few moments in the game that implies the existence of players' and NPCs' levels.

1st it's a she, 2nd not hidden, 3rd coordinates are correct, 4rt she's right next to hut

As a hunter I could not use my tracking to locate this person. Its a tauren NPC. It wasnt until I got close enough to see the yellow quest dot on my map before I found him/her.

After you talk to him/her it will go down to the water and talk to a elemental. He/she then will come back up and you need to speak to him/her again.

after you turn the quest in, islen waterseer summons a water spirt. after she returns to shore she asks you to return the purified water to greta mosshoof in felwood. i got 2550 for completing this as lvl 52 huntress.

From Ratchet go south down the path. When you come to the first set of pirates there are two tents next to a hill. Go over the hill towards the water and there she is. Easy quest, but XP is only 2550 at lvl 53.

Open up your world map and go to The Barrens and click on it. You will see the town of Ratchet, Look at the Southern coast and you will see 3 pieces of land sticking out. She is on the tip of the largest. You can swim south from the dock or run along the coast or jump off the ship from Booty Bay when its close to there. Its just a pain getting to and from Fellwood from Ratchet.

If you want to save time, jump the boat from Booty Bay before it hits Ratchet. This applies to members of the Alliance faction.

"proper co-ords" ?

You realise the difference between 65,43 and 66,44 is whether you are standing on your left foot or your right foot...

You realise you get different co-ords for an Npc depending on whether you are standing in front of them or behind them.

You realise if you stand at 65,43 OR 66,44 that you are Standing Right Next To This Npc - either way...

Whoever made that screenshot knew that as long as we paid attention to the minimap that we could find where this person is....

Note the placement of the ship along the shore......it's just like looking for puzzlepieces.

65.43 Look at the mini map in the screen shot.

The mini maps in them show you exactly where Isla is.

You can run/ride thru the pirate camps or swim there.

ok the coords are close enough but to get to ratchet from felwood... just fly there. easier that way. not really sure why everyone keeps mentioning boats to get there if you are coming FROM Felwood.

You can now fly from the Emerald Sanctuary to Rachet. Then all you have to do is swim or run south to the little penninsula.

Important... don't just turn the quest in, you need to wait and watch her. She'll go into the water and summon a water guy, then she'll return to the land... at that point, she will give you another quest to take the via BACK to Felwood. So even though thottbot shows this as the final step in the chain, there is at least one more step to go back to Felwood.

Just from the inn in the barrens follow the road to the left along the coast, once u get to the pirates camp lvls 12 n 13
the quest giver is at the end of the bay. I am a 53 hunter and got 3650 xp with the new patch, a read in the comments before someone got 2550 at the same lvl, i like the idea of leveling faster now

The npc Islen Waterseer is at 65,43 . for those of you without coords head south along the coast from Ratchet to the Tidus Stair where you'll see a tent, the npc is there.

For those who do not have cords go to the inn in Rachet run right on by. There is a road back there. when you see the ship, run out on the rock all the way to the end her camp is right there. Real easy quest when you know where to go.

Yes... it is a she, but the coords are 66,44 and shes on the very tip of the piece of land that sticks farthest out

Yes, follow to the coast south of Ratchet staying east on the hills until you get to a hill that looks like steps. Go to the edge and there she is. If you go past the Pirate ship you have gone too far.

Islen is on the Tidus Stair Peninsula, just south of Ratchet at 65,43. Follow the coast south past the Inn at Ratchet. When you get to the area with the pirates, go over the hill and she's there.

Obviously, if you're paying attention you don't need this, but make sure to go ahead and talk to Greta again after the spirit is summoned.

Otherwise, you might head all the way back to Felwood without completing the quest.

And, let me tell you, that's an awfully long trip to be kicking yourself the whole time.

Assuming you don't speak Cosmos, you can find Islen on the waterfront south of Ratchet. South of Ratchet, about halfway between Ratchet and Northwatch Hold is a series of pirate camps. If you venture out onto the hills east of the pirate camps, to the farthest eastern point you can get to, there's a teensy village where Islen lives.

The spirit summoning is pretty cool. :)

The easiest way to do this quest is to head north out of Theramore, take a right and hit the coast, follow the coast all the way until 65, 43. Very easy, took me only 5/6 minutes.

Not sure about the flight path in ratchet mentioned. Maybe for horde, but definitely not for Alliance.

A nice little trick is to que for WSG in Ashenvale before you head down. Depending on the que time, it can be timed perfectly for a skip back through barrens. Mine popped 30seconds after I completed the quest!

Take the corrupt water to the Barrens, <name>. South of Ratchet, hidden along the shore, is an old friend of mine, a shaman named Islen Waterseer. She is a powerful shaman who will help us. Her relationship with the spirits of water has always been strong. Our task being a noble one should be enough to persuade her and the spirits of water to aid us in this task.

You should find her at a small camp right along the water's edge. And, <name>, ignore the pirates... they are but a nuisance and no threat to you.
