To complete this quest you just have to run up to the altar. The hard part is there are level 50 elite trolls on that altar. Use whatever speed increase, or evasion tatic you have and rush up to the altar and hop down and run off. If you can't stealth you will probably die trying to run away afterward but at least you will have the quest completed.

I did this and survived np as a 46 shadow priest, just shielded in shadow, run up, jumped off to the left, and the pretty much deagro once you hit the ground. i had to throw a second shield on, but it's doable.

this quest was really easy with my lvl 47 rogue. just stealth up there, and use distract on the troll on either side of the alter, walk up on the later, and walk away.

Just FYI if you can stealth around to the left or right side of the altar and go behind it, it will complete your quest, and it can be done with no aggro (in stealth) no cogs to use, just walk to it.

There's a chest behind the alter if you can get to it, but I'm not going to try that chest until higher level!

This quest was actually pretty simple.. I completed it as a 44 rogue. Just stay to the side and then you can go behind everything and then to the middle until it says you've comepleted your quest and then you can jump down from either side. it's a pretty simple quest for rogues.. not sure about anything else..

I managed to easily complete it as a 44 shaman by just running up through the middle. If you go straight over the top after the stairway, you can jump over the back of the altar and go under the ledge and the mobs will reset.

I just did this as a level 47 Hunter. Learned the hard way, don't run in with Aspect of the Pack/Cheetah. I somehow managed to live, and was as simple as Bargle's explanation of running up and over the other side to complete the quest.

i solod this pretty easy as a lvl 44 hunter just make sure to clear out the guys on the stairs and then when u reach the top send your pet after the guy on the very back left and then immidatly the guy on the right run through all of them and run back down the stairs simple as pie

Ran up there, inspected the altar and ran off with 52 HP left.
Unfortunatly, some wolf decided to join the fun.

as a lvl 47 rogue I did this with ease, I stealthed up, went to the back side of the altar, sapped the lvl 47 troll there (imp sap 2/2 recommended, but not needed after next patch) and completed it and stealthed back down = quest complete, but somehow when stopping to write this a puppy found and killed me hehe, so note to self: run far away be4 giving tips :D

i just discovered after i ran off the back there is a chest. ( if you are facing the altar from the front it will be on the right side) there was a lvl 47 vilebranch witchdoctor guarding it which is easy to kill and then the chest is yours

This is pretty easy to complete. Just run up and over the top of the Altar and then shoot off to the back left. There's very little fall damage and you complete the quest with taking very little damage. Easy as pie on my 49 warrior.

yes, u get more xp but if ur a lvl 40-49 (46-47 mobs and 50 elites at top of altar) player u cant kill them, its easier to just run for it...as long as u can make it off the altar u can survive, just jump maybe 5 feet down and the mobs will reset, really easy..and no death risk.

As a warrior, shield wall also works very well. If you have piercing howl or intimidating shout for when you make your escape then it's all good.

Easy as Priest. Just kill the mobs on the stairs, shield yourself, run straight across the top of the altar and use Psychic Scream when they aggro, and run down on the other side of it, and away. You can't be killed if you do it right.

Easy as a rogue, all you have to do is stealth up to the very top untill u complete the quest then stealth back down.

I haven't seen anyone mention this, so I will. While you can indeed just run up to the top of the temple to complete this quest, if you later want to summon Gahz'rilla in ZF to complete that quest, you need to actually kill the level 50 elite Qiaga the Keeper. She drops the Sacred Mallet, which can be transformed into the Mallet of Zul'Farrak, which is used at the gong inside ZF to summon Gahz'rilla.

I highly recommend bringing a high level with you, just so you can get the mallet. It's frustrating to be in the middle of ZF and realize no one in your group can summon Gahz'rilla.

Easy as Priest. mount up the stairs,no need to kill the stair mobbs, use PW:S , run straight across the top of the altar and then use Psychic Scream when they aggro, and jump down on the left side....try to not pull the ground mobbs

If you happen to be a gnomish engineer, the Gnomish Cloaking Device makes this quest easy to solo. Just use it near the top of the stairs, run in until the quest is complete, then run back to the stairs. Nothing on the top will aggro on you while you're invisible.

Ok well all i need to say is that the lvl 50 elite is not an elite anymore now that the new patch is out. So its still hard to live while your up there but its not as hard.

Actually, there are two named 50's up there, very close together, plus another mob that might be a minion for one of them. I couldn't attempt Quiga without pulling the other 50.

The altar itself is very easy for a druid as long as you are high enough not to aggro the mobs while stealthed. Just kitty stealth; you can walk right up and right back down again, no problem. Also, I got 6300 exp after the 2.3 patch.

I have a trick: use invisibility potion. That's the easiest way to do this for lo-lvl non-stealth classes :).

There is an even better way to do this. Clean the first few on the stair (they are around level 45) then take your mount, run up, run straight through the elites and jump down behind them. And no one will attack you anymore. If you didn't run straight through them, you can rest here and restore health to try it a second time. That way it worked for me in the third try, because I wasn't sure where I need to go (You need to go to the middle of the altar).

he he what i managed to do is because im a rogue who is a alchemist and a engineer and i was level 40 at the moment. I used my Gnomish cloaking device just before the top and sprinted in then back out again :p works great. When i stealth ran away at the bottom i used flash bombs for the wolfs sine they were red level for me and easily detected me :p.

Hehe, just wanted to give a thank to the Horde who killed me at the top of the Altar. I was a lvl 48 NE Hunter with a bear-pet making too much agro, and this Horde who suddenly showed up, easely killed me since I was low on health. I watched him kill all the trolls up there before I realeased my spirit; went back to the altar as a whisp, and ressed with no trolls around. Quest done! Yeah!! Hahahaha

I completed this as a 41 hunter just run as far towards the steps as you can. You will die. Come back and resurrect drink some healing potion and finish running to the top. Not the best way to do a quest but at 41 hunter the only way I know to solo this one.

so i am a 44 priest and im on my mount hauling up there. get knocked off my mount with 55 health left. then i bubble, barely make it to the top, die. have to run all the way back there, and rezzed surprisingly far down the pyramid, bubbled again and made it! haha i thought i was screwed when i first died. but all together, a successful mission!

I'm a 43 hunter and i simply just killed the dudes on the stairway then sent my pet up the top and made him attack each lvl 50 and use pet mend, ran in and out then used aspect of the cheetah to get down fast with no problem, cept when my pet died. T.T

Had a most pleasant experience this morning trying to get to the top as a 47 Warrior. I'd killed all the other trolls save for the two level 50s and was faffing about, trying to find another way to reach the top via the sides instead of just running up and burning Shield Wall (me loves me cooldowns).

Long story short, I accidentally pulled the two 50s from the side, but jumped down and ran away. When I returned to the top they had disappeared; either they'd gotten stuck on evade mode somewhere along the line or a squad of personal Rogues watching over me had assassinated them and made off with their corpses before I returned. :)

If you're doing right, with level 48 hunter you can fight 2 l50 casters and one l46.
I must only send pet between casters to get all aggro from 3 mobs. I need only 1 health potion.
Use pet Bestial Wrath to kill them faster.

After it, you can loot mallet from them, important for ZF instance quest.

If you're a warlock, just bring out the Voidwalker. Clear the mobs on the stairs, then run up onto the altar. Once you're up there wait until your health goes down some then you can just Sacrifice the Voidwalker. Jump off the altar and run as fast as you can while avoiding as many mobs as you can. Once you get away from the altar just try to get the mobs off you with Howl of Terror, and use your healthstone/potions when your Sacrifice inevitably wears off. Once you get the mobs off you, start summoning your Felsteed. If you have you're hearthstone already I'd be better to hearth back to the peak than ride all of the way back through the many wolves, trolls, and owlbears that are all too common in the Hinderlands.

EDIT: If you're really good you could throw a Death Coil on one of the trolls before you jump off as well to heal before your Sacrifice wears off. ;]

I think the Altar of Zul is a Ghostbusters reference...Zul was the demigod they fought in the first Ghostbusters movie, who turned into the Sta-Puft marshmallow man.

The layout of the temple is similar to the rooftop area where Zul was first summoned.

Or, if I may be so bold as to make a suggestion... Grow a pair, and ACTUALLY FIGHT THEM. Jeeze, running is for sissies and Wimps. If you can't do the quest by fighting em, than simply do OTHER quests until you CAN. It's not rocket science. I'm a level 47 Warlock, Demo Spec, and took em all out in under 3 minutes. EASILY. And no, I'm not some pathetic 'twink'.

45 Hunter with a 45 Gorilla.

I managed to complete the quest without any outstanding damage done to myself or my pet. I started by killing the mobs on the stairs and then I threw a Mend Pet on my gorilla and sent him to aggro Morta'gya, Thundestomp also managed to catch Qiaga and a Vilebranch Soothsayer. Ran up to the alter to complete the quest and took off down the stairs without Aspect of the Cheetah on. Recalled my pet as soon as I got halfway down the stairs (putting him on Passive just in case he decided to get angry at the guys throwing lightning bolts at him) and continued to run until all mobs deaggroed.

If you want your pet to live throughout the ordeal, make sure to keep Mend Pet up on him at all times. With Rank 5 (200 health/3 secs) I managed to keep him at about half health while taking a couple lightning and shadow bolts myself. Nothing too troublesome though. Also watch out for the two mobs near the altar (Soothsayers for me) they will aggro you once you meet the requirements for the quest. I just ignored them and kept on running.

I did it without sacrificing or even using my mount. I killed the npcs at the steps pulled the first lady infront of the two lv. 50s and then went to the side jumped the corner accross the fire. Killed the other guy by the alter then just simple walke up the the alter and got the quest complete.

Did this with my lvl 46 lock..
1) fight the way up to the top of the altar.
2)when you reach the top (where they go in groups) sacrafice VW, ran up on the altar
3) When quest is done use howl of terror and BAM ran like hell (they wont shoot because they all are feared :D)

4) dont get killed by a lvl 41 wolf on the way home like me lol

Uber-easy if your the right class.

Druid/Rogue = Just cloak because you reach the top and avoid the elites and such.

Hunters/Locks = Just send your pet to attack and quickly hit the top then run away!

How ever can a lvl 48 face 2 lvl 50 elites is beyond me. But it's still easy to get to and easy to complete. Like most others have been doing...run up the steps, touch the altar, and run away. You will mostly likely die, but it's ok. Quest complete and lots of exp.

The Altar of Zul is located in the middle of the map in the south.

If you have a mount then you can do this from lvl 40+... Might want to bring a healing potion, but that's all you need. Great xp! WHEN YOU DIE YOU WILL SPAWN AT THE SPIRIT HEALER OVER BY THE EASTERN SHORE. Don't accidentally resurrect there thinking you're near the quest giver.

Note: This is only if you need to search the altar - not use the hammer with it (which is a completely different quest-chain. By searching the altar - all you must do is be near the altar at the top, no need for clicking anything.

All you hafta do is go to the top of the altar and your quest if completed.

When I got to the top, a previous party had already killed off everything at the altar. So I guess I got off lucky. =)

as a warrior, i followed the path that leads to the stairs of the targeted building (THE ALTAR OF ZUL 48,68)

it's pretty easy since most of the guards there are magic user. just use shield bash or pummel on them to interrupt their magic and your good to go. they have pretty weak armor and attack power.

at the top, pull the non elites down the stairs and take care of them.

all you need to do after that is run towards the altar at the top and you'll get a "quest complete" kinda message. then,,,just get your @$$ outta there.

*i suggest grinding on the mages if you know how to use your warriors. pretty good xp with drops of magecloth and coins*

Well, for those of us who stay in human form-Pally, warrior, mage... if you have this quest and it's yellow-like it was for me, and likewise are stunned that 2 lvl 50 Elites are waiting for you at the top-don't frett, You only have to let the altar "Pop"-like when you discover new territory. I would recommend killing the two on your way up the stairs, then run to get to the altar, you practically have to stand on it-you don't have to pick anything up, or open anything, so the onslaught of lightening and shadowbolts won't stop you from completing this quest, you might die, or you might be able to jump off the side-I recommend the left side, and run like crazy-if you do die, your repair bill on mid 40 lvl gear shouldn't be too bad. Good Luck!

Just run in until the center of the altar, then you will see that the quest is completed... Now RUN as fast as you can so you leave that NPCs behind and you will have the quest completed without die... I did it as a lvl46 warrior

Don't tell us a long ass story about how you did this, just explain what people need to know.

All you need to do to complete this quest is touch the altar at the very top of the "pyramid".

However your class decides to accomplish that is up to you.

Super easy for my lvl 44 warlock. Had voidwalker out (didnt even need him), mounted up, ran up the steps, stopped for about 2 seconds by the altar, completed quest, ran off the left, fell off the altar, used a health potion, ran like hell. No need to kill a thing.

i made one attempt at pulling the mobs at the top not realizing that there happened to be elites...my bad. then after making the GY run back, i killed the respawns on the steps, wanted to MC but couldnt get LoS, so i used power word shield, ran up to the alter til it said quest complete, ran back down the steps, shielded again, and only had to use a health pot once. hey, whatever works yea? haha

When I did this quest, I just simply ran up the stairs on my mount and when I got to the top, I threw down a Stoneclaw Totem to distract the trolls, got the quest done, and then jumped down the back. The trolls can't get you from behind the altar. I then just mounted up and ran out from the side.

quite easy just pull one by one the non elites and kill em interrupt spells they are easy, once you reach top, run towards altar (center table) and cast earth bind totem, then drop and run to the back of the pyramid, stay there u will leave combat.

TY to all for advice! I'm a Lvl 45 Frost Mage. I put on my Ice Armour and Mana Shield Mounted-Up stayed to left side of stairs ( U will still get attacked, but not by as many.) And rode to top. Got dismounted just be4 altar but kept running and got a "Complete" (was right next to altar when this happened. NOT on it Just next to it) Then ran around to the back : also suggested here. Was only being attacked by 1 lvl46 caster.Was able to activate light feather and jumped off left side. Once I landed there was NO aggro. I have only 1225 HP. And I still had 450 left after I jumped! So TY again to all. If you can mount and are whatever 40ish; you should have No problem completing. Got 4400xp easy!

I was "lucky" enough to make it to the top of the altar just as i died. note to self remember ice shield....but as i lay there writhing in agony the message "you have completed the altar of Zul" popped up :-)

Very easy quest if you are a druid, just take cat form and prowl up the stairs to the altar, quest will complete then while still in prowl walk back down the stairs, nobody will even know you are there.

I am a 46 warrior and have no problem killing all the mobs including getting the mallet solo. However, I am running all over the top of the altar after clearing and I can't get the quest to complete.

what most posters have neglected to mention and have even given misleading screen shots The Altar is actually south of Shadra'Alor head to Sadra'Alor then run parrell to it in southerly direction when you reach Valorwind lake you're headed in correct direction veer south east of lake and you'll reach the altar hope that helps.

As a 49 pally, I rode my horse to the top, automatically dismounted, ran to the altar then headed for the big jump. The mob was blasting away, and when I landed my health was all but gone. If you're gonna try it, have a plan and don't stop.

Not really any trouble as a 46 paladin. Rode up on mount, completed quest, bubbled, jumped off the altar and ran like hell. Took a few to many shadowbolt's to the back, and fell about to the lake. Went back, ressed, rode back to Aerie Peak and turned in quest.

Did this as a lvl 43 Pally. I worked my way around to the steps then ran as fast as I could up them casted forbearence at the top and jumped off the right side. Didn't aggro anything after I jumped. Health was at about 20% but I managed not to die.

Pulling a few of the casters may help a bit .. But as mentioned above, you need only to walk up to the altar to complete the quest. Most definitely doable solo if you`re willing to do a suicide run.

yes it was quite easy at lvl lvl 49 pally. just killed my way to the top and then i used a shield that lasted 10 seconds which was plenty of time to escape, and also found a mithril ore vein behind there too :).

then i was looking about this quest at this very moment which i had auto-run on, switched back to my screen ran into a mob of lvl 46's hehe. be careful dont do what i did lol. but overall quest was simple.

Im only posting a message because I am currently feigning death and healing up lol, The Altar of Zul is in the bottom center of the map, all you have to do is run all the way to the top, i rode my mount, and ran to the top and feigned death with only 20hp left, now when im fully healed i am going to run down and feign death again lol, and oh my pet got owned, btw im a lvl 46 hunter

I did this just now, quite simple actually. Lvl 45 Priest. Run up the stairs, obviously casters have casting time so you may get hit 1-3 times, but not enough to take you out. Run straight through the alter and hang a hard right. Jump off each ledge, which removes you from line of sight from the casters. The jumps take no life at all. I lived through it without even using PW:S :P 4100exp

As other people below me have claimed, it is quite simple.

I did it as a 42 warrior. I rode my mount the entire way up until I could no longer be mounted and just simply jumped onto the altar and ran out of there. Needless to say, I died quickly after.

I res-sicked and spawned exactly where I had to find the Port Wine for someone in Stranglethorn Vale. I spawned on the very easternmost mountains cemetary.

This quest wasn't hard at all. Im a 49 shaman, and I grouped with another 49 shaman. we ALMOST died, but we made it okay :). Now i have the hammer to summon gah'zrilla as well!

Soloed as a lvl 46 NE druid. Tips for druids.... shape shift to cat form and prowl. Give everything space but once you get to the top you will be found so go behind the alter and hearth out.

how to do it easy :

Use 2 player, i to bait, another to walk up the stair.

I use rogue to bait, then sprint like hell.

My friend is a paladin and used 6 s invicibility to bait and run

Here are my sugdestions:

1> Invisibility potion works nice.
2> Pet draging all mobs then you just run, complete Q and run out.

And for priest and pallys, shield will work fine I belive. ;) Then what about a speed potion? :P

Well, the altar is at about 49;68. (middle of the map and than go south until the mountains)

you can ride up and complete the quest once you reach the mobs. (4 normal lvl 46 if i am correct, and one elite lvl 50) tricky part is that you unmount when you reach the top! Try to jump off and hope you will not run into more mobs as i did.

easy quest if you don't mind dying sometimes.

49:68 done it with a lvl46 worrior, just mounted up and ran to the top then jumped off the left side of the alter and ran away, really east exp, you can also do the troll necklace bounty quests in this area aswell.... BONUS!

At 48 I just went into defensive stance, ran up and jumped off the right side, I might recommend left instead as soon as the quest says complete.

Goblin Engineering - solution to almost all quests. Run to the top drop the bomb - 10 yards & 5 second stun, mount and ride back out the front. np at lvl 48.

Well had my speed stuff on Carrot , mithril spurs and riding enchant on gloves...ran for it aspect of pac till i completed .. just as i did whoomp dead...Thank you tho :D Good advice for solo runs at low level

Soloed this as a Lev 44 Rogue.

Crept up the right hand side avoiding the mobs and went around the back of the altar.

Didn't draw any mobs.

Left via the other side and rode back for an easy 5500 xp and dinged at the same time.

Location: The Hinterlands; Aerie Peak; 9.44 (To recieve and complete the quest). The Altar of Zul; 49.68

Description: Although you could mount up and run up the altar to touch the platform and complete the quest, it would be smart to find a group and kill the mobs. The reason being that you can also obtain the "Sacred Mallet" which is used to create the "Mallet of Zul'Farrak" which is used to summon Gahz'rilla in the Zul'Farrak instance. The trolls and wolves around the altar are levels 46-47. However, once you reach the top, you will find two level 50 elites. I brought a level 60 hunter with me to do things the easy way. I sheeped the front elite and from there we successfully cleared the altar. Everyone in the party will be able to loot the mallet from the elites.

Experience: 4400

Reputation: 110 points with the Wildhammer Clan

This is very easy for a hunter as long as you have Feign Death and a pet. Just make your pet center of attention, making it attack everyone at once, then run to top of altar then down. By this time your pet would be dead or close to it, so just get ready to FD in a safe area until they leave you alone. Summon your mount and turn in quest! XD

Oh yeah.. I just completed this quest.. And a 70 orc warrior had just killed the elites. Nice. So I ran up, completed the quest killed the non-elites.., and was then killed by the same Orc who had helped me.. Too bad., but I got 0 durability loss.. :D

Information: Cordinates are 49,68 - Just stealth up there when you are a rogue or Dr00d, when you did it dash or sprint away. That's all! when you can't stealth do the same but you can die so use a potion.

This was so easy... Just stealth up there and sprint away -.-" i was thinking: ' Is that all'? WTF?..!

Completed as 45 Rogue.

Really easy quest, tho it may sound harder than it is.
As a 48 warrior I got into Defensive Stance and ran up to the altar then quickly jumped off to the left side. After you get down the spells can't hit you anymore and you get out of combat pretty quickly. Lost 30% HP total on this.

As advised from previous posts I ran to the top of the alter, was dismounted halfway up, completed the quest and promptly died. I rezzed at the spirit healer which gained 660 exp, mounted, rode back to Aerie Peak discovering 2 more areas along the way for 650 exp each then turned in the quest

This quest was, indeed, ridicously easy. As Level 45 Druid I Cat/Stalked to the top, dashed across and was done with it. Travel formed to turn in!

Mount, charge up the stairs, sacrificing VW on the way up, jump onto alter. As soon as you hit the alter, you become unmounted. Just keep running and jump off the back end.

Yes, you can solo this, but the elite mobs at the altar drop the Mallet of Zul (or whatever it's called) that's needed to make the mallet for summoning Gahz'rilla in Zul'Farrak, so it could be worth it getting a few friends and take em down instead of a hit-and-run

Thought it was going to be easy until I got to the top and saw the 2 elites all the posts were talking about. Just jumped on alter and off back as recommended. Got 4400 XP at Lvl 48.

It was real easy... I rode over there and killed every mob I saw, until I came at the top then I made my Voidwalker attack the lvl 50 Elite so he got all agro... I just ran up and down then I was done... I'm a lvl 45 Warlock btw :P

At around (48,67) is the Altar of Zul.

At the top of the pyramid like structure is
Qiaga the Keeper (52)
Morta'gya the Keeper (50)
and 3 Vilebranch Soothsayers (47)

All you have to do for this quest is run to the very top and into the middle where these mobs are at until you get a quest advance. This is more or less a suicide run, I sent my pet in and then ran around until I got complete msg then ran out. My pet ended up dead of course because they are all casters.

coords 49,68. In my opinion the best thing to do is run to the top (completing the quest) then try to leg it / get massacred. I died then hearthed. easy if you don't mind dying :)

49/68 are good coordinates. When I reached the temple with my lvl 47 warlock I took out the guards on the steps one by one. Luckily they are far enough part to not aggro them all at once. Then as others have said I ran to the altar at the top, let the VW absorb aggro and ran away. I didn't expect to make it once I saw the quest complete text, but I actually made it back down just as the void died. Summoned my steed and rode off. Easy.

While you are at it, you'd be silly to just discover the Altar. Qiaga the Keeper, a Level 50 elite, drops the Sacred Mallet, which eventually can become the Mallet of Zul'Farrak. You need this to access the final boss of Zul'Farrak. Qiaga the Keeper is accompanied by Morta'gya the Keeper, along with some other helpers. Obviously too tough to solo alone at the level you'd be wanting to run Zul'Farrak, but worth keeping in mind. The Sacred Mallet is a guaranteed drop, by the way, for anyone who had a tag. No quest required too.

My 46 Druid had no trouble stealthing up to the right and left sides of the altar but resist the impulse to kill one of the soothsayers to get the chest. They are linked to all the other hostiles on the altar, who will start firing so many bolts of who knows what at you, it will look like Times Square on a Saturday night. But after just barely escaping off the right side, I went back and found I could carefully sneak around the Soothsayer on the left side.

Wandered around the back waiting for "Quest complete" notification and never got one. Jumped up on the actual altar itself and took two screenshots to email Blizz with my righteously-indignant email. I was just starting to think about that chest again when I looked in my quest log and it showed that the quest was complete. Apparently you have to figure that out for yourself.

Edit: This seems to have been fixed. Got the "Quest complete" notification today as I got within about two feet of the Altar on the right side, as did my partner.

Edit 2 (10/6/2023): One more thing to keep in mind is that if you make a mistake or another player aggros them, the mobs on and around the Altar of Zul will chase you farther than any mob I can remember (or at least since 2005). While fleeing, I changed planes in Dar es Salaam and they were still after me. I finally made it to Wellington, NZ, walked into a bar and they were waiting for me. Fortunately they had been overserved by the bartender, who was an old friend. By that time, we all decided we should calm down and order another round. They were tired of being Vilebranch Trolls anyway and, last I heard, they had opened a restaurant in Cap d'Antibes with the most-unusual menu on the Riviera.

I got overconfident and ran in as a Lvl 45 Retribution Pally. I killed one of three lvl 50 and got the other two a bout 50% health before I ran out of mana and pots. So, I ran back up added a scroll of protection to my buffs and did manage the other two lvl 50's, but it was a close battle where health once went below 200hp, but I cast Holy Light and used my one Superior Mana Potion and easily wore down the 2nd one after getting a crit with Hammer of Wrath. Was a very fun challenge.
