Make sure you don't aoe and hit someone on the opposing faction. You'll be nuked by the guards.

If you die while doing this quest, abandon the quest and re-accept it.

Is it just me, or did anyone else picture the forest god from Princess Mononoke when Malorne was summoned?

If you die during the quest either by guards or by the opposite faction, abandon the quest afetr ressing and pick it up again, or else it bugs and you wait for 10 minutes killing fire mobs like me :)

I received 10 marks for completing this quest with my warlock. I'm confused. I started the entire questline on June 30th with my warrior, did every quest I was able to do and ended up with 12 marks. Did the same with my warlock the following day (July 1st) and got 20 marks FROM THE EXACT SAME QUESTS, and unlocked "Find Leynara" the very day I started the questline.

Hotfix on the number of marks you earn?

As of today, now grants 10 x Mark of the World Tree. Together with the increase to 6 Marks in now allows you to complete on "day one" of doing dailies.

seem to have upped the number of marks awarded for this.. which have caused my alt to be further into the daily zone than my main:( stupid ninja hotfix thingies.

How in the world do you complete this thing?
I have done it 4 times and each time it ends with the White Stag cut scene, and then it fuzzes out, and I'm back at the beginning, on the steps in front of the Tauren Druid and it says to protect Malfurion. I do, it says stand by him, I do, the White Stag comes to life, defeats the fire things, and then everything fuzzes out, and I'm back on the steps in front of the Tauren Druid, rinse, repeat.
What am I missing?

Since no one else has mentioned it, I just wanted to add that (at least as of 4.2) you don't actually need to do anything on this quest. The adds will never get past Hamuul, and after a bit, Malfurion will summon Malorne and everything will be hunky-dory.

no matter how many times i try i cannot seem to complete this quest it says to stand next to malfurion and he summons malorne, attacks the fiery dude and it fuzzes out and nothing happens what am i doing wrong?
