I was actually tagged for pvp when doing this quest. Attacked him while he was fighting an orc with no aoe and even so, aoe attacks shouldn't have tagged me. Be careful.

An easy way to kill this guy is to stand up the road out of the east side of town, about 20 feet from town. The High Shaman spawns by there, on a ram, and then runs into town. Just tag him before he runs into town, and you can kill him alone without having to deal with his like ~4 adds.

This quest actually rewards 18 gold (at 85) and 350 reputation.

He spawns at 46.33. I didn't have any problem killing him as a feral druid.

Soloed him on the first try.
Waited for the Dragonmaw orc to come and then just nuked him down.
When he started casting on me - poped Mirror Image and in the end finished the fight with full HP. Also didn't had to use any CC. Just stand and cast. (iLvl 329)

At 85 with quest greens he should be soloable with most classes. Basically any class that can silence or interrupt should be fine. The only class that might have trouble is Warrior with only one long cooldown self heal.

If there are orcs helping you, just target the High Shaman and ignore the others. You might have to kill the others after to get out of combat, but you could just run away also. If an Alliance character is killing the orcs, take out one of the adds. This should cause more orcs to spawn to help you.

In order to unlock this daily you need to complete the Bloodgulch chain of quests that starts with
How to Maim your Dragon and ends with Fury Unbound.

For DK's it is possible to pull him without grabbing the adds by standing on the grass just to the south of him at coords 46,34 and then death grip him.

i just waited for the other orcs to ambush them and then killed the adds then they helped kill the shamen really easy
