vary easy but boring quest, just your average escort quest you walk with the guys up the hill and about 4-5 times 1 regular mob spawns and you kill it. would be nice to throw in a bit of RNG luck and give it a random chance for an Elite mob to spawn or something like that just to make it interesting

The NPC to begin this quest is on the SE side, as stated in the quest information: 64.4, 22.8 -- NOT as located in Wowhead (the Wow-Pro addon is also incorrect), which shows it at the SW side of Thunderstrike mountain. Typical escort quest: The barrel-pushing NPCs walk down the road and have only 3800 health. The escort NPC charges the mobs with 77K health, but you may need to pull aggro off the barrel pushers if 2 mobs arrive. NPC health resets after each encounter, so healers may DPS at will.

I've found that the escort moves just faster than running speed, so the best method to do it is to run and stop or to walk backwards.

A few things.

First, it's easy to get multiple people stacked on top of each other while doing this quest. All the npcs are the same name, so it becomes very confusing to figure out which escort is yours.

Second, stand behind the barrels carriers. That's the best way to make sure your guys aren't being attacked. I've lost a few by not paying attention to the carriers behind me while I walked with the lookout ahead.

Third, if you hear a boom, that means that someone just lost an ale carrier. Hope it wasn't yours. Lose both and you have to do it again.

Hammelhand's location to start this escort is 64.4 22.7, a little ways from Kirthaven to the southeast , as for when you earn the credit for finishing the daily its at 56.1 20.5, just straight south from Kirthaven, enjoy yourselves.

In the event that several people are trying to complete this at the same time, my advice is to let everyone go first and get far up the road, or come back later. Bunching up with other players means you will be attacking 3 - 4 times more npc's than you would otherwise.

Has anyone else been having multiple attacks doing this as a daily? Yesterday i was the only one in the area doing this quest and i was getting 2 orcs at a time, today 3 at a time. Wasnt a big deal and i kinda like the added "threat" of not being able to complete quest although the threat was minimum.

Is this a random thing or a bug?

Yeah, wait a bit to start this quest until anyone else is up the road a ways.

I started this quest about 5-10 seconds after another person and our lookouts took turns running back and forth between each caravan slowing both of us down. I killed one of the ambushers slower to give the caravan ahead a chance to move farther away from me and that seemed to fix the issue although I ended up being escorted by both lookouts in the end.

If you're in a party when doing this quest, make sure all party members talk to the NPC, as every party member has to escort their own beer transport. If only one party member starts the event, only he/she will have the quest completed.

This quest can bug out on you if by chance you fail it. I was running too close to others (since blizz didn't make this quest group possible) and my friend let his kegs get destroyed. Upon going back to the convoy start point, the quest giver (Hammelhand) wouldn't give it again.

If this quest bugs on you, just log out and in again. You'll then be able to kick it off again. /reload of course won't work, and leaving and returning to the area didn't work either. I also told him to abandon it, then reshared with him, but it still didn't work. Only thing that worked was logging out then in.

As others have stated, raid mark your dudes and protect your beer. Not protecting your beer or a spilled beer in my opinion is the real meaning of "Alcohol abuse".

[After my sister's wedding, I developed a taste for that Thunderbrew Lager that Kurdran had imported from Dun Morogh. More is on the way, but our caravan keeps getting jumped by the Dragonmaw!

Head on up to the southeast side of Thunderstrike Mountain and catch up with the caravan. Look for a fellow named Hammelhand at the side of the road, and help him get the booze through the pass.

Just get it as far as Kirthaven, and we'll take it from there.]
