As Horde go around 43, 60. Right click on the magnet in your inventory and walk around the mobs when you use it it will "spawn" the parts to pick up. Very easy quest.

Magnets are made of ferro- or ferri-magnetic materials, ferri-magnets causing opposing but lesser electron rotation in neighboring atoms and ferro-magnets causing electron rotation in the same direction in neighboring atoms. Because of this property, the effective rotation of electrical charge over a large volume (cubic micrometers) of such atoms is not zero (as is the case with non-magnetic materials), and thus creates a magnetic field (rotating electrical charge magnetic field). Most magnetic materials are not magnets by default because on an even larger scale (cubic millimeters or larger), the atoms do not effectively point int he same direction because they were organized from different points at the same time. So what you have is granuli which themselves all have an effective spin, but together point in random directions and therefore have zero spin. However, by melting the magnetic material and allowing it to set while in the presence of a magnetic field will cause the granuli to form with an effective direction of spin, thus creating a macroscopic magnetic field, and thus a permanent magnet.

Our second regiment reported some wrecked out siege engines in a old battlefield to the west. Maybe we could find some parts over there?
