Dunno if its just me but after landing at the Isle Orkus never shows up so i can complete the quest . . . .

i was able to get the Hillsbrad Foothills Quests earlier tonight and i got stuck at the same spot, i just finished all the quests up to that point then went to tarren mill and started there.

Just to confirm, I had the same issue with Orkus - and so couldn't complete his questchain.

However, I did complete the Zone quests with 3 quests to spare, and that was without having done any of the sunflower quests.

Make sure you do the quests from Tarren Mill and the Eastern Guard Tower - as well as the quests from the entry point in the west.

I downloaded the addon "Loremaster" that helped me find some q's to complete this zone. Also works great for other zones.

Just talked to a GM about it a few minutes ago he/she said he was going to file a report 'QA' ? so hopefully it's fixed soon.
Really nice helpful GM though he/she waited for me to disband the quest and try again to see if it worked but it didn't.

Oh well.. now we wait. =)

This bugged quest chain was preventing me from getting The Loremaster achievement. 49/50 Hillsbrad quests and no help from GM's. Here is how I beat the bug.

Take the quest, sit on the island and have a low level friend or stranger take the quest and show up at the island which will spawn the NPC Orkus.

Got this one today myself and it's still bugged out.

I had this quest bugged with a level 85 character. However, Kingslayer Orkus showed up with a level 70 character where I was able to complete the quest.

This quest is still a known issue, with level 85's not being able to see Npc or complete this quest.

If you use Carbonite addon with "Show quest on map" turned on, you should be able to see all available quest. However, I got stuck at the same spot with no other available quest in the zone and this can make it seem like a dead end.

I found 3 item drops that start quests, that can open up more quest that count toward your Hillsbrad 50/50 loremaster achievement, this ended up to be all I needed and got it today.

If these do not end up completing your achievement after opening up all available quest, then you are definitely missing some out there in this zone, I Hope this helps a bit.

Quest was bugged for me as many above. However today (26 Jan, 2011), as I was cleaning up some unfinished things I went to the Isle and there was Orkus! Finished the questline, got the Hillsbrad Achievment, and got to enjoy the finale. Thanks Blizz - better late than never.

Seems to be a reference to the movie called Road to Perdition, which is based on the novel of the same name.
