This quest becomes available right as you enter Maraudon / Purple Crystals and in order to complete it you just have to click "Complete Quest" under the quest description in your quest log, after of course you've killed Lord Vyletongue.

Its a Alliance quest as well. And yes, you don't need to go all the way to Zaetar's Spirit to turn it in, you complete it through the new Quest popup.

In Cataclysm Classic, the Complete button from the quest log is buggy or disabled for some reason.
You have to hand the quest in to Zaetar's Spirit in the 3rd wing of the dungeon.

I suggest asking at the start of the instance if everyone would like to extend the run beyond what is required for RDF Satchel reward so you can hand in the quest. And also do .
Otherwise the quest will sit in your log until whenever you get a chance to do the Inner Maraudon (Earth Song Falls) wing of the dungeon.

If everyone agrees, it's not that much extra if you go direct and skip most of the Inner Maraudon bosses.

Make your way to Poison Falls and head through towards the west.
You might encounter the rare spawn Meshlok the Harvester.
Keep following the path until you encounter Celebras the Cursed (This is just after where the map transitions to level 2.)
Head directly South and jump over the waterfall, and leave the Earth Song Falls at the SE corner.
By now you should have been automatically given .
You can easily avoid Landslide located in the centre of the map.
Keep following the path until you come to the ledge just above the skull representing Rotgrip. (He's optional, but should only be killed after the Princess)
Cross the ledge and face Princess Theradras in the South West.
There you will find Zaetar's Spirit and can hand in both quests.

Of course you could also opt for a full clear of the whole dungeon. In which case there are a few things to do before going through Poison Falls.

Start by killing Lord Vyletongue to complete this quest.
Then make your way around to the other entrance on the Foulspore Cavern side (also known as the orange entrance).
Avoid Noxxion and Razorlash for now, because close to the entrance you automatically get a quest to kill them.
Once you have picked up , you can kill both bosses and continue as above. Ultimately handing in all 3 quests to Zaetar's Spirit.
