This is a nightmare induced by Isorath. After you are devoured by Isorath, you arrive at the Maelstrom as a near-corpse, risen from the brink of death by Thrall, to see Deathwing rise up and start killing all of the Earthen Ring members holding the Maelstrom at bay- including Farseer Nobundo, Aggra, and Muln Earthfury. Thrall expects you to somehow defeat Deathwing, but in the end the Earthen Ring falls, you are knocked out, and Thrall is attacked by Deathwing head on as the nightmare ends.(##RESPBREAK##)8##DELIM##Gryphon##DELIM##

I had a fun time discovering a minor bug with this quest. When you're in the Maw of Madness for Devoured, you might get ported right back to Orgrimmar if you also have The Eye of the Storm in your quest log.

Pretty much all you have to do is click on the Waters of Farseeing. If you got booted to Org by mistake, it will be right under your nose.

Friendly tip, don't abandon this quest because you'll block yourself off from the rest of the chains in this zone (assuming you've been keeping up with the chains). I'm currently waiting for a GM to get back to me so hopefully I can continue doing the quests left in this zone.

If you have The Eye of the Storm in your quest log and get ported out to SW/Orgrimmar and make the mistake of abandoning the quest, you can pick it back up by using the Waters of the Farseeing in either SW/Org and then waiting out the event. :D

If you port out away from where Thrall is for any reason, make sure you don't drop your quest. To get back to Thrall go back inside of Iso'rath and get killed again, you'll be sent back to he Maelstrom.

I got ported back into Iso'rath NOT Orgrimmar, before I could accept/complete this quest. I was able to continue the quest chain but I would have liked to see this one. Is there a way to get back to the Maelstorm?

I went back to org and completed Eye of the Storm, watched the clip, and it took me back to org.

I received a response from a GM today telling me that dying to the blood of iso'rath will restart the quest as long as you have completed the preliminaries. I'm going to test it now.

EDIT: Success! I was able to port back in even without the quest and reacquire this one.

Strangely, on complete after the nightmare, the portrait of Yevaa says, "Nightmares threaten to swarm and consume all within "Iso'noth".

I don't see an Iso'noth anywhere, just an Iso'rath....

If you drop the quest, to get back to the Maelstrom and Thrall, simply die to the Blood of Iso'rath again and it'll send you there.

Here's the quest text that Thrall speaks during this event.

Afer the Blood of Iso'rath overwhelms you, the world fades to black. You feel your life slipping away...
Suddenly, you awaken to the relentless pounding of rain on your face and wind whipping at your clothes. Life flows into you once again! You stand shakily, worse for the wear but undoubtably glad to be alive. You take in your surroundings.
The Maelstrom? But how did you get here?...

Thrall says: I bring you back from the brink of death, <brother/sister>. We are in need of your aid!

Above the churning Maelstrom is the unmistakeable form of the dragon responsible for the cataclysm that has shaken your world. The pumping of the aspect's massive wings adds to the fury of the winds howling around you.
You and Thrall aren't alone-- there are other powerful shaman of the Earthen Ring all around the Maelstrom, calling upon the elements to defend themselves against the Destroyer's onslaught.
Unfazed by the shamans' attempts to subdue him, Deathwing simply turns and blasts Farseer Nobundo off of a far cliff, killing him.

Thrall says: NOBUNDO! NOOO!
Thrall yells: You will die this day, Earthwarder! <name> will see to it!

Shock and anger fill up your heart, but what can you do? Deathwing now swerves to the left, shooting a fireball at Aggra, felling her, too.

Thrall says: Aggra... this can't be... this has gone too far...
Thrall says: Do something, you useless <race>. My allies are giving their lives for you!

Unable to do anything, you can only look on as Deathwing unleashes a burst of fire at the leader of the Earthen Ring, Muln Earthfury, incinerating him.

Thrall says: Muln falls! And the Earthen Ring dies with him.
Thrall says: You've failed us all, <name>. Deathwing has won. The world is doomed.

The other shaman dispensed of, Deathwing turns his massive form towards you and Thrall. He opens his mouth, and you try to shield yourself before the rush of molten lava breath hits you, but there's nothing you can do...
Waves of heat and flame overwelm you. You fall...

Thrall says: We're surrounded! Its defenses are too great. <name>! Wake up!

Wha?... Your head begins to clear again as waves of healing energy pour into you. No, it wasn't Thrall who said that at all-- it was Earthcaller Yevaa. You're back in Iso'rath's stomach.

Then this whole ordeal was... a nightmare? And it seems like you aren't the only one! (next quest)

Very buggy quest...As soon as I accepted it after Devoured it booted me right back to the inside of the beast as it was when I first landed inside. Luckily a random mob hit me soon after knocked me out and sent me back to Thrall.

So all I can suggest if it kicks you back like it did to me is to go get hit by a mob and hopefully it resets you to your rightful place...Still kinda ruins the mood just the same sadly.

I was kinda expecting to help Thrall by attacking Deathwing. The quest log is really misleading and needs to be changed. I was standing there and was like WTF do I do. I came on here and realised I do !@#$ all.

I just bugged this with an accident. Just as Deathwing was about the finish the quest (me) I DCd, ended up with Thrall gone and Deathwing doing random lava bursts to all directions xD

After a couple minutes Deathwing disappeared (he probably DCd to xD) and I was left alone at the maelstrom -,-

Ended up hearthstoning to orgri and logging due to the dcs. Will check back later

Okay, so I got sent to this rock in the middle of raging whatever. There is a large flapping rag that I can target, but it says invalid target. Okay. so I wait, and wait and wait. Deathwing goes away, How I do not know as I can't see anything but this rock and edges of maelstrom. And I wait and wait some more. rain and more rain. No other characters, just rock and rain. How long am i supposed to wait here for something to happen. Still no Thrall, I can't even jump to my death off the rock. Talk about a nightmare.

I want the rest of the quest line so I'm being patient or maybe just stupid. Is this bugged?

If you are doing this quest right after Devourer , you can face with disconnection problems. Dropping the quest , going back to The Maw of Madness and getting killed by oozes wasn't helpful (at least for me). Tried a few times this way , but no , everytime i got disconnected and Thrall wasn't visible (Deathwing too , i felt like i saved Azeroth , lol ). So I went back to Orgrimmar , started another quest named "The Maelstrom" , then it worked for me. And i was able to take quest again and complete.

I did this quest and crashed during the resurrection Thrall casted. Like above posters mention, I got stuck there with HS on cooldown and Thrall despawned. I then tried to go into Game Menu > Help > Character Stuck!. This will kill your character and give you the option of resurrecting at the nearest graveyard. You will spawn pretty much at the same place and Thrall will also reappear. You can now finish the quest by retaking it from Thrall \o/

Bizarre. Never saw any of this dramatic dialog. Never saw any of the druids bite it. And I never got woken up. I just sat there >5 minutes watching DW twirl-n-hurl, then I jumped over to WowHead for <20 seconds to peek there for insight, and when I came back to WoW, I was all alone on that frustrating little patch of rock. No Deathwing. No Thrall. And no way out ('cept HS). Before my WowHead check, I saw all the NPCs (I have graphics maxed) ... it's just that nothing ever happened, except hypothetically during the <20 seconds I looked away, ... when they all apparently decided to play hide-n-seek, with me being "it." Not quite the great prank that this apparently was designed to be. Too bad.

For all those who are having trouble finishing the quest chain, because you get disconnected after Thrall ports you to Maelstrom. Try the following:

1) Log back in the game
2) Make sure you are in the Maelstrom. To get back to the Maelstrom, simply get killed again by the bloods.
3) Finish the quest (Auto complete)
4) If you see no NPCs, log out of your character
5) Log back in the character.

Once I logged back in my character that this quest chain glitched on, I was able to see all the Thrall and NPCs in Maelstrom.

This worked for me:

1.) Get to Maelstrom (either via quest or get killed by blood again if you went away)
2.) Get disconnected
3.) Customer support -> Character stuck -> Teleport to graveyard
4.) Appear in Maelstrom again, everything should be set in motion
5.) Profit

If you get disconnected as you port to the Malestrom, and when you get back Thrall is not there? Logout and back in again. Apparently there is a bug with the phasing due to the disconnect. Had this happen today, and the GM told me to do just that.

Hope that helps someone with a similar bug.

If you get DC'd, i had to do the quests where you help Aggra get Thrall back (forgot the quest name, starts in Hyjal then goes to Uldum). Once i did this quest i didnt DC when i got teleported to the maelstorm.

here's my experience with working around getting disconnected during the transition to the maelstrom. Twice I got killed by oozes and twice I got disconnected. First time I hearthed out and tried again, only to get disconnected. Second time I just sat at the phased-out maelstrom, queued up for a battleground, finished the battleground and when I exited thrall was there with the quest (because I had abandoned it the first time I got disconnected). Worked like a charm.

Sooo, my game bugged going into the quest and logged me out after I died from the Iso'rath things. I didn't know where I was when I logged back in so I hearthed back to Twilight Highlands. Turns out I was in the Maelstrom when I logged in and hearthed out. My question is, How do I get back to the Maelstrom?

This quest is now bugged as heck. As soon as you die, you disconnect.

After I came back on, I did not see Thrall, but the quest was in my log (The Worldbreaker) so I accepted it, but Thrall never appeared and Deathwing did not get attacked by Thrall.

I made the mistake of then dropping the quest, so this is what I did to regain it:

I hearthed out to Orgrimmar, went to the Highlands and from there back to the Maw of Madness.
I stood next to Earthcaller Yevaa and 'defended her' against the Blood of Iso'rath and was killed.

Once again, I was transported to the Maelstrom and got disconnected. When I reconnected, Thrall, once again, was not there. This time around, I exited the game and came back on, and Thrall was there with the quest and I was able to complete the chain. What a pain!

As of 4.3.0 (15050), this quest _may be_ bugged.

When thou dieth at the blood of Iso'Rath, thou shalt get teleported to The Maelstrom. When the loading screen finisheth loading, thou shalt appeareth in front of Thrall and there shalt be a lag - thou screen shalt freeze and in about 10 seconds thou shalt get the very favourite message of thee: "Thou hast been disconnected from the server". Thou shalt then relog in and thou shalt be at The Maelstrom, but Thrall shalt not beth there. Thou shalt then HS thou way out, goeth back into the Mouth of Madness, dieth to the blood of Iso'Rath again, and thou shalt get the same scenario. I imagineth that no matter how many times you trieth this, thou shalt get the same result. Thou shalt then contact a GM, them shalt tell thee "This quest hast been reported as broken" and ask thee to log in with an alt and then contact thee through that alt, asking thee to log back in with the character doing "The Worldbreaker" quest. Only thence shalt Thrall beth there and shall thee completeth the quest.

It hast been written in the timeline.........

If u stuck for any reason or bugged and thrall is not there do the following:
1)Abandon quest
2)Go again down and die
3)You will be stacked now dazed in front of Thrall
4)Kill your client.
5)Login and thrall is there waiting to give you the quest again :)
Worked for me after trying to get the quest again becaused its bugged when i ported there and thrall was missing.
