Quest works fine now. Harrison despawns when he jumps in but you will find him waiting for you at the bottom (64.5, 28.0)

You can use flying mounts to get down here, so unless you have some kind of parashute or slow fall magic, don't try jumping.

So I just did this quest. When he jumped in I thought twice about jumping in because it looked like a decently far drop. When I mounted up and went down, I noticed a pile of skeletons... guess some people fell for it and died XD

If you do something else first and forgot to talk to him (to follow him) then abandon the quest and redo it. Talk to Dr. Jones and Follow him in. He's waiting for you at the bottom so get your flying mount ready.

If you are having trouble with this quest make sure after you accept you actually talk to Harrison Jones again and click I AM READY DR JONES. Then stick right beside him, you get the quest completion as he jumps in the top.

He despawned, but I thought it was some event you should follow and jumped after him. Got me the 'going down' achievement :D

When I first did this quest and saw him jump, I stopped myself to think about that first. I mounted up and flew down. I had to chuckle to myself at the pile of skeletons at the bottom.

I had the quest, but was unable to talk to Harrison once I finally ran out of quests in the zone. I guess I didn't realize it was one of those "talk to me when you're ready..." quests at the time.

I was able to abandon the quest, picked it back up again on the surface, talked to Harrison, followed him into the Chamber of Stars, then was able to complete the quest. Also was then able to pickup Be Prepared.

I have earned Going Down? by jumping into it :D

If you did another quest before jumping down with him or have logged off and he jumped down and you can't complete the quest afterwords, you'll have to abandon it and get the quest from him again back uptop and then follow him inside again until it says you've completed the quest.

walking off the edge (without jumping) will get you the going down achievement. I did it by accident.

Blizzard had fun with some sexual innuendo with the pre-requisites to this quest (starting with Premature Explosionation) But it seems that this one continues the line. Quest-text upon completion:

"Would you get a load of this place! "

I'm aware that this is a fairly normal expression, so it may just be my dirty mind playing here...

Just did this quest at 85 with 107K health. Jumped like a derpface and ended up with the Going Down? achievement :D

Anyone ever have their Shaft of the Stars disappear? Left to do some herbing, came back a couple of days later and the Shaft was gone. Anyone have this problem before?

When you accept this quest, then talk to again and click "I'm ready, Doctor Jones!," he turns into , runs to the northern entrance to the Chamber of the Stars, and jumps off. He's waiting for you down below as yet a different .

I've been meaning to investigate this site.

Okay so either this is bugged or you cannot get curious when your over to kill Sultan Oogah and think "hmm what's down there." If you discover the Chamber before you do the quest you won't find Harrison once your down there :(
