Its a great idea to activate the constructs before killing the mystic associated with the construct because the construct will aid you in battle.

Yup, you can either activate the construct first and let him tank for you. Or you can just hover overhead and activate the construct -- then you don't have to get killed at all.

You can do all 5 without unmounting. Even if the mobs start to attack, the action is so quick that the construct starts killing the mobs.
