This quest may appear to be broken, but it is not.

You will just sit it out and wait roughly 5-7 minutes on the Zeppelin to take you. The two goblins sitting atop will have some chit-chat about random things and then Friz will state "The Zeppelin will be here in 3 minutes".

Just stick it out and it'll come for ya.

Hobart Grapplehammer: The Spear of Durotar is filled to the bursting point with combustible, super-heated gas.
Hobart Grapplehammer: Bilgewater engineers have taken advantage of its inherent high-altitude instability and resultant low-cost.
Assistant Greely: We passed the savings on to us.
Hobart Grapplehammer: We've mitigated the explosive instability of the gas by putting it under IMMENSE pressure.
Hobart Grapplehammer: Doing so required the removal of a number of safety valves that kept erupting.

Note, if for any reason you fall off the airships, you will quickly lose sight of them...i was on my flying mount and accidentally clicked off the edge of the ship. at 310% speed, i couldnt keep up with them. Had to hearth back to org and get on again.

Quest is definitely bugged. Tried the mounting bull^&*! many different ways no luck. Captain disappears every time after loading screen. This may be because of when the world server went down earlier. But its definitely bugged on Lightning's Blade. A lot of people have opened tickets including myself, mine personally is "escalated" now just waiting on the response as I watch more and more people find out this quest is bugged.

Theres some type of bug where the Zeppelin loads with no NPCs besides the driver which dosn't allow the event to take place.. I've tried it about 5+ times was wondering if anyone knew a way around this? I don't know why Blizzard would make the quest a pre-requisite for all others at Twilight and have it be bugged since Beta..

You MUST listen to the whole 6 minute RP before getting on the Zepplin, otherwise it will bug the same as if you mount up on the Zepplin.

Okay, so far - no bug if you're on mounts on Live.

However, previous poster tip still applies - DON'T leave the zep. Just sit there. Because you will fall off, get left behind, probably be ejected over fatigue water, die, fall, have to corpserun, rez, run some more, hearth back to Org, travel back to Azshara, abandon quest, take it over, listen to 5 minute RP and sit down on zep. AGAIN.

So please. For your own sake...sit and enjoy. Don't try to fly/mount up/fly off the zep. It's NOT worth the headache.

The quest has to be bugged. There's no one on the zeppelin when it arrives after the goblins talk for 6 minutes. I'm pretty sure the fleet is supposed to be on the zeppelin with you, but they're not.

SPOILERS!

Pay attention to the event-filled flight.

Garrosh gives a rousing speech for the Horde that seems to be about power and dominance, not freedom or justice.

Then...

Garrosh is an over-aggressive idiot that gets everyone into trouble, especially himself.

Deathwing shows up.

Twilight Dragons make an assault. Deathwing is finally putting them to use in a big way. The incident in the Obsidian Sanctum only slowed him down a little.

Reference to Star Wars trench run.

Reference to the Hindenburg disaster.

Appearance of a dragon called a "Twilight Zeppelin Eater". Yeah, it grabs on and...well...it's not good.

Worst disappointment: You never get to man the guns.

Best. quest text. EVAR! After I got on the zep I re-read the text, missed the whole Deathwing vs. Zep fight and didnt get a parachute so I jumped off and died. Corpse run was well worth the lulz!

I absolutely loved the pre-flight rundown given by the two goblins. Laughed my ass off the whole time, fantastic comedic writing! This is why Horde getting the goblins over the sucky ass Worgen is totally worth it.

Just a couple FYI points on this quest.

- First, just sit tight and wait for the zeplin. You're going to have to listen to the monolog between the two goblins before the zeplin arrives. It's worth listening to.

- Second, there will be a movie, you'll have to go through as you travel to Twilight highlands, at the end, you will have to a parachute to safety. Once you've landed on the boat, with your parachute, look behind you; there you will find Admiral Stonefist.

As of 1/3/2011, this quest is working again.

Contrary to what has been stated previously, I did not have to sit through the whole 6 minutes of the RP dialog for the quest to work. I actually showed up when the zepp arrived and just boarded.

Ah, Orcs. Their leader attacks the Alliance navy purely because he notices that they're vulnerable, and then his Admiral complains about the same navy attacking the Horde counterpart unprovoked.

Are Orcs essentially chavs these days?

by the end of the flight, there will come a blue/purple dragon on the ship, at the right side..
attach it as much as u can.. it dosent matter if you kill it.. it will fly away again if u didnt killed it, and u have here by completed the quest, just take the para-shoot down and turn in the quest.

Make sure you click the parachutes when you have the chance. Wait too long and it'll reset and eventually take you all the way back to Ashzara to start all over again.

Personally, I found this long-winded quest text quite boring. It makes the journey when you're actually on the zep take even longer than it already would. Now, I've also had to go through this quest on two of my alts and now it's even more boring. Can't wait to do it with my other 7 toons (I have one of each class). Yes, I can just go do something else irl while that speech is going on, but it'd be nice if you could skip it and save yourself 5 - 6 minutes, wouldn't it?

Okay, so I didn't get bugged, in fact totally enjoyed the wonderfully funny workup during the six minutes it took for Zeppelin to arrive. Brilliant satire of commercial flying these days. Lengthy flight to Twilight Highlands quite entertaining too ("oh, the Goblinity !"). Going to do the whole thing with my other 5 horde toons and not whine about how it takes too long, this the sort of thing that makes WoW so much more fun than spending the day speed-running through dungeons.

Took me 4 toons to see this on one of the quests, when one of the Zeppelin crashed around Ironforge low level area, one of the goblins yelled out "OH THE GOBLINITY" Made me laugh so hard Reference to : hindenburg crash in 1937. (didnt notice someone said it few comments ahead of me, i searched for it before i put, oh well)

DO NOT get off the airship once on it until you are told to do so. I wanted to check out the Alliance fleet my second time on the quests, and you get kicked off, fatigued, and then unable to fly back onto the zeppelin due to an invisible wall. The zeppelin's fly faster than a mount, so if you decide to get off, expect to have to go back to azshara to try again.

Awesome quest.

It feels so epic when you meet up with the rest of the airfleet over Baradin Bay and fly towards the Highlands. Getting really pumped from Garrosh' peptalk, ready to launch the invasion and crush the Twilight's Hammer. Too bad Garrosh ruins it with his ORC SMASH attitude but still, i loved this quest.

I fail to see how people can enjoy this quest. Looking at the other airships twitching all over the place as we flew to our destination completely kills the immersion. It looked terrible and Garrosh only furthers the annoyance by being an idiot. Overall, lame quest.

As of patch 4.2 the time it takes for the zeppelin to arrive seems to be shortened quiet a bit.
4.2 Also brought a few bug fixes whilst flying on the zeppelin.

a) it takes way to much time as u have to go through this stupid quest everytime you wanna level in TH
b) if u drop accidentily of the ship u must do all the crap again - wich means another wasted 10 minutes as the zep just disappears...

The Horde seems to be in a bit of a mix on how to engage the Alliance.

Admiral Stonefist is furious that his fleet had been attacked unprovoked by Alliance ships yet that's what Garrosh does himself and what we see happen a few times before (Anyone recall slaughtering half-dead Alliance soldiers in Icecrown?)

I suppose that's why Thrall feels as though Garrosh will ruin the Horde? But hey, without a violent leader we'd have no Warcraft now would we. :)

So, interesting note. I was on my DK alt, who happened to have On A Pale Horse. Even though he only had a 280 mount, the speed buff gave him enough speed (456% on the character sheet) that he was just fast enough to keep up with the zeppelins. I flew over to Garrosh's zeppelin, because I thought it would be humorous to do the ride on his zeppelin for once, but unfortunately, his zeppelin completely lacks any collision detection, meaning, you can't stand on his zeppelin. A pity :(

Also, if your dps is good enough, you can actually kill both the Dragon that attacks Garrosh's ship and the one that attacks your ship, you can even loot the one that attacks yours.

WooHOO! I loved this little quest segment! What fun! It was neat to feel part of a larger fleet of planes and ships, just like my Air Force days! One tip: don't leave your ship! I tried to fly over to Garrosh's ship to hang with him but you can't and my ship sped away with the others. I just landed, hearthed to Ogri, then flew to the Southern Rocketway Terminus to wait for the zeppelin again. It's worth the trouble if you do fall and lose the ships to rejoin it as a lot happens that's fun to watch.

I was howling with laughter all along.

However, the sad thing is I only got to listen to the last three minutes of the goblins' instructions. The first thing I was told after arriving was that the zeppelin would arrive in three minutes and then they started talking about the sea. Didn't even realise there was more of it before coming here.

Not sure if it was because the quest had been changed or because someone had triggered it before I arrived. There was another player in the vicinity but they didn't take the zeppelin so I've no idea.

Amusingly, even if you ignore the command to use the parachutes and just stand there, you'll still get the parachute buff and safely float the ground after the timer counts to 0 and the ship explodes.

Warning. If you do not get a parachute and decide to jump, fall, or mount up to get off the boat (even when it is time to get off), you will not receive credit for this quest and will need to repeat the quest. In other words, you must wait to abandon ship and properly do so with a parachute.

If you fail by doing the awesome experiment of mounting and attempting to fly to the commander's ship - it will fail - do not abandon the quest because by returning to Azshara after that it will immediately resummon the ship. I'm quite certain if one retakes the quest the whole Goblin dialogue will restart.

my internet died as i was on my way to the site, and when i cameback the quest had glitched out not allowing me to finish. I abandoned and went to re do it but the quest giver no longer offers it. I can't even find the zeppelin. Does anyone know the coordinates of the zeppelin?

I am on my 4th trip and both the Capt and the Marines vanish, sometimes come back, sometimes not. Nothing is happening at the end, it just resets to Azshara in an endless loot. Ohh Blizzard please advise.

I found the quest was bugging when entering Eastern Kingdoms with all the npcs and airships despawning. The airship was in a continuous loop and gave me time to find a viable solution. I first jumped off over the fleet to where the quest was turned in with the NPC with a grey ? mark. I hearthed and re-boarded ship and tried logging out when the ship arrived in EK and bugged number of times and tried hard shutting down game with no success. I also tried dropping and re-accepting quest at the zeppelin tower. What finally worked for me was to board the ship mounted on a flying mount. Hope that helps others get the quest to not bug out.

this worked for me. It wouldn't let me log back in for about 10mins, but when it did, it started the quest

I really really hate this quest. You have to sit there and wait for 7 minutes. I was tabbed out and reading something, and completely missed the ship. Now, another 7 minutes. :(

Additionally, the quest is bugged. I entered a BG during the long cutscene, and when I returned all the orc says to me is "you're here but where is the fleet?" I now have to abandon quest, and go all the way back to Azshara. Unbelievable.
