Need 20 crushed Nightstalker Legs. Spiders drop Nightstalker Legs. Zero-four legs per kill. Crush the legs into 1 powder per leg.

Need 2 Screecher Brains. Bats drop 0-1 brain per kill. Mash the brain into a paste.

Need 4 Tainted Hides. Bears drop the hides. 0-1 per kill.

Mix the crushed spider legs and bat brain paste together, and sew the bear hides into a pouch (no thread required). Then combine the mixture and pouch to complete your demoniac vessel.

(For clarification, all you have to do is right-click the items in your bag)

It was a big long grind to get all the items you need, I gave up after a while - even though its a pretty nice reward at the end of this quest line. I was to eager to go through the portal. :)

It literally took me about 20 kills of the screechers for the the TWO brains. Awful grind quest.

I did this quest in less than 30 mins with 1 other person at lvl 57, wihout having to kill a whole bunch of bats. I guess it just depends on how lucky you are.

The part of this quest that took longest for me was when Deathwing decided to drop by and scorch the whole field.

On the bright side, I did get Stood in the Fire. :)

The bats are so annoying with their extra-low drop rate. The worst part is that this is a horde and alliance quest, so often you will have allies stealing the bats from you making this even longer.

Ok, all this action takes place in a field at 39/62 off of Sunwich; and is past the demons and such. I think since the previous guys were complaining about the Screechers, Blizzard fixed that, and it doesn't take forever to get two brains. Did the whole thing in about 15 minutes as a unholy priest, alliance 58 -solo. No sweat.

So, there should be a rule within the programming of this game that you should never have to kill more than the available number of mobs of a given type to get the drops that you need, regardless of the programmed drop rate. So, for example, if there are 20 Mob X and the droprate is y%, if you haven't received the requisite number of drop Z by the time you have killed 20 Mob X, it should automatically drop.

This quest is a perfect argument for this rule. The droprate for the bat brains is simply awful. I killed every bat at least three times before the second one dropped, and thankfully had the whole zone to myself.

[We need a way to get Wormthorn's attention. Something to break him out of his trance. Something that's guaranteed to work.

The few types of wildlife that managed to make a foothold in the Tainted Forest are, without a doubt, affected by the land's latent energies. Your task is to collect their body parts and find a way to combine them into a vessel. If Wormthorn's trance is druidic, or even if it is demonic, a large enough vessel of tainted animal flesh should be able to break it.]
