Well, i found out that the easyest way to catch theese, are to run straight against they. Or run behind them. To run from one of theese creatures sides. That is just impossible :P You can catch, Terrified Squirrel & Terrified Rabbit for this quest.

Make a simple macro for:

/tar Panicked

Forget the squirrels. Go to your Key Bindings and find "Interact with Target" (under Targeting Functions). Bind that somewhere handy, use in combination with the macro from above, fast and easy.

You can do this quest while mounted, works way better :) Just hop from one rabbit to the other on your flying mount.

For a druid, use the interact keybind with swift flight form. Target the critter from high up, then swoop in while spamming your interact key to snatch it up just like a real bird of prey.

I was asked to save wee wolves in barrens, wee deer in hillsbrad, and now wee bunnies and squirrels here.

All this cute and fuzzy good will towards all creatures is giving me an urge to punch someone. Is that weird?

I found the easiest way to capture these is to change your mouse settings to 'click-to-move'.
Go to your game menu, interface, then mouse, then select click-to-move.

You can then right click the critter once at any distance and you will autorun to them and pick them up!

This has to be one of the most annoying quests I have encountered in the game thus far. My issue with critter collection quests hinges on the fact that I move with my mouse. It is near impossible to move with the mouse and then click on the critter while it is close enough.

My suggestion is to move the radius of the interaction on these little critters out a little more so it is easier to catch them. Such a simple quest should not collect so much aggro from me. grrrr!

Oh em gee why so much hatred for the wee animals? This is like my favorite quest in the game next to the bear trampoline! IMO a much-needed break from quests like A Hero's Burden (Il fardello degli eroi) where you had the option of killing cute but kinda evil little wolf dude or scarey but totally innocent and victimized oracle! VERY VERY SAD.

How can anyone like watching poor little oracles getting dragged around by meat hooks, in shock saying "we didn't do anything" more than this quest? You're saving the wee animals! I did this quest with my mouse and no macros every time and had no problem with it.

What is this world coming to?

If you're stupid like me, you need to be going after the healthy animals running around; not the already injured ones lying on the ground. Run after them, right click to loot - as other comments have said, it might take a while given that they're running in random directions.

Mylune actually says "Squueeeee!" when you return the captives. "Anime girl" (or at least the stereotype of one) indeed.

They run in patterns. Stand in their path and mash click on them until you catch one. Took me 5 minutes, not too bad :) Not as bad as that jousting bird thing -.-

How do you even start the quest? It says nothing. The stuff is up in the trees, ladders you cant climp, jump pad that dont do much. No quest points whatsoever.

I was having trouble with one squirrel i kept chasing him round in circles and finally got him ^-^, but i was thinkin, "why don't you want to be saved!,"
but i suppose if i was them i would run away from me too, i've smited so many critters :P

This was the most annoying quest until I used the key bind and macro's above. Once done, the key bind made it a snap. Next time though, maybe I'll just call animal control and ask them to send me something useful, like a troll, to chase these things with. :D

When in doubt.. bind 'em out. Shift F12 for me... lol

This quest combines every annoying interface shortcoming into a jelly-filled love roll of clicky madness.

The Horde should be grabbing squirrels and rabbits, popping their heads off like a bottle caps and extinquishing fires by squeezing what remained. Then they would roll their bodies up like tooth-paste tubes and squirt the remaining mix on the blazing fires, just because as a hero of the horde, they would go that extra mile.

Seriously, what happened to putting bombs on mammoths for meatplosions? D.E.H.T.A. is some buzz-killing alliance hug brigade that needs to be destroyed. I wash the deck of my ships with Old Roy's blubber and other nasty bits, wear musk from the bears I chopped down, I count and am rewarded for the kills of fairly harmless animals, and if it is something rare that carries anything of value then it needs to be slain.

Another hint how to make this quest easier: those critters run in patterns. Stand in a place where the critter stands or just stoof. Even if it runs away from you, in a couple of seconds it will be back there for another stop, and you will be prepared to grab it as soon as it appears this time.

The very first thing I thought of when I read "wee noseys" was Queen Elizabeth I from the Blackadder The Second TV series. If you haven't heard of it, you NEED to check it out. Best British comedy I've ever seen!

I would not suggest attempting this without professional assistance (or macros) if you have "click to move" enabled.

Your keyboard, mouse, monitor, and most likely anything within arms reach will go through your livingroom's bay window.

Thought it was particularly odd on my Druid with Swift Flight Form... I imagine the last thing a frightened animal wants to see is a big bird swooping in to pick them up. Poor little bunnies probably had a heart attack.

This should be one of those quests that you pick up because its simple and you can do it while you finish slightly harder quests or ones that take up you time. It should be, but it is NOT. The squirrells and bunnies nevah slow down. It reminds me of the NPC near Ironforge that you buy the pet bunny from or the NPC you buy the toad/from/whatever for Darkmoon Faire. He never quits moving when he is alone.

Of course, when you click on the NPC he will walk to you for a sec. These dudes.... don't.

HOWEVER: I found this a little easier once I got a hang of it. From a few yards away, I would right click them (I move when my mouse right clicks) and when I move towards it, it passes me by and I get one out of ten. It took me a minute and three kills to complete it.

Not really sure why so many people have issues catching them, you don't even have to dismount. Of course, its still relatively annoying anyway but the sound they make when you capture them makes it all worth the effort.
