This quest did not open up until I was 21 quests into Un'goro achievement and turned in Mossy Pile

I only completed 15 quests in Un'Goro.. as soon as I completed Mossy Pile, this quest became available.

In case your a herbalist: Scrape the tar off before you "herbalize" the corpses, cause they'll despawn once you do that.

I'm pursuing Steamwheedle rep, so I wanted to do the minimum number of quests to get to Super Sticky. I hadn't quested in Un'Goro since the Cataclysm, and had credit for only one quest from before (The Activation Rune...odd...). Anyway, I did:

I did this last one since I was already talking to Tara and had the scraper.

Perhaps there's another path as well. Oddly only Super Sticky gives rep, even though there are lots of Goblin quests (including four above).

The only Ungoro Crater quest to give Steemwheedle rep.

Presumably because in Classic this quest was given by a NPC from Gadgetzan and it was copy/pasted over to its new location. :-)

Kill a tar-gui, then scrape with the ting in your inventory.

They dont drop them you use the scraper after you kill them. If you are a herbalist left click so ou dont pick up the flowers then use the scraper. You do lose the ability to pick up the herb.

There I was, a gnome rogue with pink hair having defeated devilsaurs and the like in un'goro crater but these tar beasts seemed impossible to defeat. Then I learned they had an ability that made me not wield a weapon( Sticky Tar ), I had been punching them with my little gnome fists!

Then a knight-errant came to my resque on his steed giving me not only the blessing of kings, but aid in defeating these with his holy power and healing me when I was in distress. Now if I only met men this chivalrous in real life.

It would appear that the tar elementals are weak to fire. I've been getting some really large lava burst crits on them. If you're an engineer, you could also perhaps use bombs on them since those deal fire damage too, even though it's not very much.
