This is one of the cutest quests in all of WoW, when you find Torta, her and Tooga have a very cute conversation. Call me a sap, but it was adorable!

the starting coords are right but i think u have to kill soem mobs in the area first do tooga can spawn.
Btw quest bugged to me in a moment tooga disapeared but it didnt said failed.

Just a word of advice..if you pull aggro, STOP AND KILL IT. Tooga will keep attacking it until it's dead, so if you try and outrun the aggro, Tooga will fall behind.

You pretty much set the difficulty of this quest yourself by choosing how straight of a path you want to take. If you're willing to take the time to go around NPC patches (especially the Dunemaul compound) you can do the entire quest with no aggro.

The largest problem I ran into was opposing faction members harassing the poor turtle. I was able to solo with a 48 Blood Elf Pally.

If there's several people in the area, it's worth it picking it up before finishing the other things in the area.
Thought I'd stick around, and take it once I was done, but a nelf beat me to it, and I've been waiting for ~45 mins for the spawn.

Run around mobs and avoid aggro. You'll have plenty of time to make it if you know where your going. Tooga was able to run faster then me so if you have a mount then use it but don't get too far ahead. (or mages use Blink) Just keep some distance so he stays running at top speed for him.
Completed with 16mins left & fought 1 mob on the way.

The most rediculous thing happened while I was doing this quest. Me and a random group was escorting Tooga to the port and we were literally 2 minutes away. But then some asshole NE hunter comes and kills us all so we all failed the quest. I think we go too close to Gadget so, whether you are Horde or Alliance, by all means stay away from Gadget so some asshole won't ruin everything for you.

This quest can actually be very easy. If you can just avoid the lvl 45 mobs this shoulnd't be aproblem at all. Just keep in mind that Tooga is very slow and will attack everything that attacks you or him. And Tooga is saying some pretty cute things on the way to Torta (66,25). When you get there you MUST see their conversation... I'm just thinking of how he ended at Thistleshrub Valley :S ...

when I did this with my friend we completed it with about 12 minutes left... but when I got there she was ble to get ther reward whiel I wasnt. Did something bad happen. I didnt go to far ahead and he was following me not her. I wonder why I wasnt able to finish the quest. (I wasnt able to press continue) and I saw the dialogue

I Solo'd it with my lvl 45 balance Druid. I ran from a few mobs. As long as hes not hit he wont chase them. He has great armor, so i need not worry about healing him. but his hits are horrible.

I may be wrong, but it seems that if someone else is doing the quest, you will not be able to find Tooga until they are done. I and my friend just spent about 15 minutes searching for Tooga using the coordinates listed here with no success.

I think the biggest problem is ally, I was a 47 hunter and a 48 frost mage stopped and slaughtered me when I was at the turn in

My advice after just doing this now is to not go diagonal, once I started going straight up and across it was easy as pie, I have like 16 mins left on the clock and Mr Turtles comments were the only thing keeping me sane because the walk got that dull :P

P.S. Druid cat form is a great speed for him, you don't outrun him too fast, Travel Form is a bit excessive

I added a screen shot. If your a high lvl with a mount you can do this quest very quickly in under 30 min. I did in 18min 45 sec, and also when you find the wife turtle, be sure that you click on her to complete quest, it's not your average escort where you escort and all is complete. I only had 4 interruptions and they were single mobs low lvl and easy to kill. These turtles have alot of armor and can walk pretty fast if your mounted which also prevents them from being attacked. But if your mounted and have carrot slow down and stop after about 4 seconds of running. They are fast but not that fast. Let em get close but not close enough to walk or stop walking. Dont worry when they complain about being thirsty.

For any druids doing this: Get to the water and then swim him up to steamwheedle while in aquatic form. He can swim at the same speed as you and most of the things you see in the water aren't hostile.

I found Tooga just past the South end of Thistleshrub Valley, also referred to as, "The Cacti Garden." It's a good quest to do after completing "Thistleshrub Valley," and "The Thirsty Goblin," because it gets you back up to Steamwheedle Port, which is right by Gadgetzan. Really easy, it's just that if either of you get in combat, he'll fight to the death, so fight with him! It helps to target him when you're not in combat, so that when Tooga gets in combat, you'll know. The dialog was funny in a really stupid way!! Here, so you can share my laughter. ^^
Tooga says: Torta, my love! I have returned at long last.
Torta says: You have any idea how long I've been waiting here? And where's dinner? All that time and nothing to show for it?
Tooga says: My dearest Torta, I have been gone for so long. Finally we are reunited. At long last our love can blossom again.
Torta says: Enough with the rambling! I am starving! Now, get your dusty shell into that ocean and get momma some grub.
Tooga says: Yes, Torta. Whatever your heart desires.
You can tell that wife REALLY CARES. xD

Tooga follows YOU, you don't have to follow him. He walks at around 110% speed, so running with a steed might get him lost.
He attracts almost no aggro and if you take care where you walk you can walk all the way without fighting a single mob.
You have 30 minutes, but can do it in 10-15 minutes if you avoid fights.
(druids can use Soothe Animal, to avoid more fights)
(hunters can use track beasts/humanoids to manouvre between mobs more easily)

Tooga is found between (29,60)-(30,73) , around Thistleshrub Valley. You might have to wait for him to respawn.
He doesn't roam much, mostly stays at the same spot.

Torta is at (66,25) , just south of the Steemwheedle Port in the north east. She's always there so no waiting there.

Mobs neer Tooga are lvl48-49 elementals.
Mobs go down from lvl48 to lvl40ish in the north (scorpids/wolves/basilisks/pirates).

If you arrive, Tooga's gonna have some words with his wife:

Tooga: Torta, my love! I have returned at long last.
Torta: You have any idea how long I've been waiting here? And where's dinner? All that time gone and nothing to show for it?

There is enough time. I even stop for some mining :) Tooga wait for you.
Even you can go in Gadzetgan for some jobs.

If you walk good enough, mobs don't attack Tooga, or if there is some aggro, the speed is high enough to let mobs behind.
Stop only when Toogo really stop, not earlier.

Is there a time limit on this quest? Or a limit of how far Tooga can go? I'm about to get this quest and it sounds like he'll make a great pet while questing in Tanaris for a non-hunter.

Very easy as druid: went straight to Gadgetzan, using Shoote Animal all the time :) Then followed the path from Gadgetzan to the port. Not fought a single mob, did it in 9 mins xD (found Tooga at 30.74)

Do not share this quest! I accepted the quested, joined a group, and the damn turtle followed the group leader who was the only one who got credit for it. Anyone who is not the group leader will not get credit for it.

Very easy quest and good XP... On a side note, I had the Ogre quest and I took him along with me and my pet to do it on the way :-)

He does not do much damage (17-21 is what I think it is) but it was funny to see him go after the Oger's with my pet. I had plenty of time to complete the ogre quest and still had 5 minutes on the clock...

make sure that if you get aggro on the way to kill that mob...if you run it is possible for tooga to follow that mob back and fail the q. happened to me when i was about 1 minute from reaching Torta. :/

Just a quick note. You can do the chicken escort https://www.cuckhead.com/cata/quest=648 at the same time. I had about 5 minutes left on the timer when I got him to Torta.

Try not to run through any areas where other people are questing. Tooga seems to react to any nearby player being in combat. I tried running him through Waterspring Fields (the area with all the nomads) and several times he ran off to attack mobs other people were fighting that weren't anywhere near us.

Tooga's damage is extremely low (only 10-11 damage per hit to the mobs near where he spawns), making him largely useless as a "pet". When you're fighting multiple enemies, you can get him to tank one if you don't do anything to generate threat on it (if you generate threat you'll pull aggro almost instantly since Tooga generates very little threat due to his poor damage). Tooga has good armour and HP, so he can take hits pretty well.

Overall, this is a very easy, if somewhat monotonous, quest. The hardest part of the quest is actually getting it, since Tooga won't be available to escort if someone else is already doing it, and there's often competition for the quest since people come to the area where he spawns for https://www.cuckhead.com/cata/quest=3362 and https://www.cuckhead.com/cata/quest=2605.

Like caewen said above you can do Rescue OOX-17/TN! at the same time (which starts from the distress beacon). If you do both of these at the same time 22650 experience which is a nice chunk of a level for roughly 20 minutes of work.

Played as a hunter here.
Whoa, i have for first time server error. I walks to Gadgetzan a bit fast but keeping eye at minimap radar (in beasts mode). I walk forward but look carefully at green dot behind me if she still walks forward and not attacked by another beasts. I stopped sometimes to not fall her too far back.

But when i'm near Gadgetzan i discovered she suddenly stopped without reason near the graveyard at east of GG. I thought the quest failed, but the questlog has no failed message. Tooga still speaks some words.

Then i decided walk further to coast. Tooga is already 400 yards behind me... 600 ... 800 ... 1000 yards ... it's now very small green dot on the screen but not gone from game!

Finally i'm at coast by Torta. Then suddenly - Tooga is nowhere in the game - the quest is finished! Torta starts talked without Tooga. :-o

Strange server error. But quest is done o_O. I have some screenshots if you want see it.

Pretty easy quest.

He follows you so that makes it much easier, just go around places like waterspring field and dunemaul compound, and just kinda bob and wave through the random mobs on the way and you should be good.

I got it done in 15 mins with a couple of agroes.

The walk is dull, but i still recommend doing this quest just for the dialog at the end.

Questhelper automatically crashes WoW for any quests that have a timer on them @_@

My advice (especially to hunters)...

Enjoy your new second pet! Sure, he hits like a 5 year old, but I accepted the quest, and went right into Un'Goro with him. Nothing like a hunter rolling with two pets. Besides, I've always hated escort quests, and running across an entire zone on a PvP server is never any fun.

I'm tempted to grab him again, and hearth to see if he follows.

Quite easy for an "escort" quest which I usually avoid doing. Find Tooga in Thistleshrub Valley while killing Dew Collectors for the "Thirsty Goblin" quest. Tooga was actually standing (if that's what turtles do?) in the middle of several Thistleshrub mobs. I was killing all of them for the Dew Gland needed for the Thirsty Goblin quest. The Dew Collector roaming right by Tooga was the one that dropped the dew gland I needed. After killing him I clicked on Tooga and go the quest to escort him to his wife just south of Steamwheedle Port. Pretty much a straight run east to the other side of the zone and avoid all the aggro you can. Torta can be found on the beach about 50 yards south of Steamwheedle Port. When I did this quest Torta had a question mark above her head but it was grey, not yellow and it did not show up my mini map. Click on her to complete the quest.

There is a timer of 30 minutes on this quest, I suggest seeing what quests youre doing in order before returning to town when youre picking this up. It starts immediatley without warning. (I.e. Questhelper having a set route for you)

This is a hard quest for a low level >.< I started it at 44, I didn't know what I was getting into, I was getting chased by a bunch of those giant grass guys (I don't remember their names), and I started the quest, and I suddenly had 5 level 48-50s on me, 3 chillin' attacking my pet, 1 on me and 1 on Tooga. My Pet killed 1 by himself, I killed 1 on my own, then me and my pet finished off a 3rd one, while the 4th one finished me off, but instead of rezzing myself, I was watching Tooga, take on a single giant, still with ~half HP, but the giant had not even a sliver of health gone (I fxing hate those totems they have), and the second one that aggro'd him helped finish him off faster, so yes, he IS a GREAT, weak, but great tank.

Quest is pretty easy to do, and rewards a really nice amount of xp. If you see him while wandering around like I did, I suggest picking up the quest. You will hate all the scorpions and and wolves by the time you get there though, but its still worth it.

This quest turned out to be one big joke for me, just running around having fun with the turtle I decided to do the quest as level 80. Everything was going good, I wasn't complaining, he was! Well at last we made it to Gadgetzan and I was reliefed now it was safe route..!
UNTIL two stupid horde came around killing me! I just used 20 minute a fat turtle complaining about getting sand in it's toes and I GET KILLED.
Well when I got back to my corpes it said quest failed, way to go! I felt like the turtle had fixed this up and wanted to assassinate me!

This quest may be a reference to one of the very first Dragonball episodes when Goku and Bulma met Roshi's sea turtle. It was lost in wilderness (I believe it was a desert) far from the sea and was escorted by Goku to the Turtle master. It made me smile when I realized how long and boring the quest is going to be (for my 80lvl) and reminded me of the DB.
Is it really Ok for sea turtles to speak without any explanations? :P

Confirmed for counting towards Loremaster of Kalimdor (Horde).

You can buff Tooga with Power Word: Shield and if you have the Body and Soul talent, he will run faster for a short period.

Funny to note that even after the quest has been turned in, you can buff Tooga but you can't buff Torta.

well, my first attepmt at this, i found Tooga at 30, 71. i waited for at least 30 mins for this to respawn again then started looking around at other locations. i ended up finding Tooga again at 31, 74.

The first time I did it I almost fell over laughing! It's the cutest end scene ever! And c'mon now. You can't blame her for being mad. If the positions were reversed, you'd probably be mad at your absentminded wife for wandering off AGAIN, taking FOREVER, and then NOT bringing home food, right? ;) I love the humor Bliz puts into some of their quests.

And dunno if it'll help some other druids out there (unless you're gonna try stealthing it), but while I was trying to find the name of this quest (it's been awhile since I've done it on my other chars), I came across some advice from someone else - on Allakhazam, I believe. Someone advised druids to have fun with Soothe Animal. I completely forgot I had that spell, and it helped a lot. Especially with the damn aggro happy hyenas. The only time I had to fight during the quest was when I had 2 of the mobs resist. Other than that, smooth sailing.

Tooga does not roam much but he DOES spawn at different spots in the Thisleshrug Valley. I've seen him spawn in 3 different spots so far.

I have done this quest many a time with different characters, but always find him in different locs, either by zepplin or next to the Thistleshrubs.. today for the first time I actually watched him spawn.. he spawned AT the zepplin, then started his walk toward the Thistleshrubs.. hope this helps if you need to find him.

Also, when I escort him, I have found the easiest way is to mount up (so you can see mobs better and pick around them) and run about 6 paces, then let him catch up, walking slowly, rinse repeat.. it's easy to avoid mobs and quick this way.. just be sure to keep him targeted, because he sometimes draws aggros, and you don't want to lose the guy.

This awards 5900 XP and a couple of nice rewards to choose from. Tooga will battle anything that attacks him, and will never run away even if the creature will probably stop attacking anyway.

Tooga follows you directly, rather than taking a default route. If you take a direct route to Gadgetzan, you can then follow the path to Steamweedle Port. You can easily dodge the monsters, and Tooga will do the same. If monsters do try and attack, stop them before they reach you or Tooga and Tooga will carry on walking.

Torta is along the coast a few steps south of Steamweedle Port. It surrounded by turtles/tortoises (they swim but have feet so I don't know which!) that won't attack you so don't worry about them. There will be a small scene, before Tooga goes into the sea and fades away.

The quest has a 30 minute timer, but can easily be completed with 20 minutes to spare.

Good for people levelled 46-50. You can find Tooga wandering around just a little way south of Thistleshrub Valley.

actually used tooga as an extra fighter for the chicken oox escort quest. worked pretty nicely. just picked up this quest, led him east to the homing beacon, then headed up to steamwheedle where both quests finished. 2 for 1... pretty easy 10k xp. Note: just make sure you follow the chicken and let him take first hit, sometimes he won't fight if tooga or you aggro a mob.

I found Tooga at 31,74.

Had the nicest thing happen though, a passing NE Druid saw me on the quest (I'm horde) and helped me the whole way, killing all the mobs ahead of us. If anyone ever sees a druid named Intuition on Cenarion Circle, thank him/her for me ^_^

I just had the same locking problem. My other toons worked fine on the same server, just my Druid, who was doing the quest locked up. I removed all my add ons and that unfroze the Druid. Now, I've waited over 30 minutes for ole Toogs to respawn...no dice. I submitted a ticket of it being bugged....

The funny thing is it's acctualy a real fairytale.It's even a fairytale by the BROTHERS GRIMM.U probley won't find it on the www. i have it from a set of old fairytales bookes(in dutch).
It goes a bit like this(In short).

A turtle couple decide to go picknicking so they start packing. The packing take alone take 2YEARS. Then they go to the place they want to picknick(the beach in wow),this take another 2YEARS.Then they seemed to have fogotten a 'can opener' for the tuna can for the salade. So the husband turtle dicede to go back to get it. Then he leave, get losts on his way home. afther 10YEARS he somehow get's there but seems to have forgotten what to get. So he goes back to the beach to ask what,get lost hardtime(10YEARS) until a get's a hitchick to his wife. He's doesn't remember why he left and is happy to see her ,She's been waiting for him all the time even while hungry she has NEVER eaten anything from picknick

This guy tooga spawns in the very south-western corner...it is easy to see/notice him in amongst all the cacti and thistletrub(dont know actual spelling) guys..i found tooga when i was looking for a Laden dew gland for the one quest from Marin Noggenfogger.

There is no %^&*ing way for a level 45 ANYTHING to complete this quest solol seeing as how the %^&*ing turtle is in the Middle of level 47-50 mobs which will add all on top of you. The only way is if the area is being hunted and is pretty clear of the Thistle elementals. Otherwise, you're going to get adds from hell and have the quest fail.

I honestly was about 100 yards from the point where u turn in the quest and turned to talk to my girlfriend and my guy was still running and 20 seconds later tooga had aggro'd about 5 guys and died. im seriously about to smash my monitor im so mad. Just make sure you are paying attention to him because he will lag behind you and aggro stuff easily.

took me about 12 minutes with my lvl 45 druid..
had to fight two mobs on the way that was all. managed to sneak around the rest! well worth the time considering the xp and reward (the ring)!
Found him at 29,58

Took me about 10 minutes to complete. Got jumped a couple times but my pet dispatched them pretty quickly. The dialogue cracked me up, he whines along the way "Ow! I've got sand between my toes!" and the like, then when you finally get him back, his wife rags him about missing her dinner. Can't recall how much XP I got at 52 but it was worth doing imho. And 15 minutes to do? Well, what else are you doing that's so important?

Quest is super easy and funny. Good to follow up the thistleshrub quests with this one.

Tooga is found at (29,60) , in the northern parts of the Thistleshrub Valley. You might have to wait for him to respawn.
He doesn't roam, almost stays at the same spot.

Torta is at (66,25) , just south of the Steemwheedle Port in the north east. She's always there so no waiting there.

Mobs neer Tooga are lvl48-49 elementals.
Mobs go down from lvl45 to lvl40ish in the north (scorpids/wolves/basilisks).

Also...
Tooga follows YOU, you don't have to follow him. He walks at around 110% speed, so running with a steed might get him lost.
He attracts almost no agro and if you take care where you walk you can walk all the way without fighting a single mob.

Quest Starts south of 'Thistleshrub Valley' and finishes by Steemwheedle Port.

Scripted mob attacks? No.

Just speak to the giant turtle called Tooga and walk him back to Steemwheedle. Try not to attack mobs as this will just take extra time, simply find a clear path.

Both times I've seen Tooga it was in Thistleshrub valley in the SW. I still got 5900 for this quest at lvl 50.

You can do this quest at level 60 and still get the ring. You get 62 silver as well for the reward.

Exremely easy at lv 50 as a priest. Just dont get on a mount if you run off to much you will fail the quest.

Tooga is a turtle, so he can't go very fast. I'm a 49th level hunter, so I had to resist the urge to use those speed bonuses, because if he loses sight of you, you fail. I had a pretty easy time leading him to the Port, because I weaved my way through the least populated areas. Tooga's wife, Torta, is *JUST* south of Steamwheedle Port. There is a little alcove on the beach, just south of the Port where she waits. Her coords are 66.25.

Final note, she is really mean! She is really nasty to Tooga when he gets back, and they won't let you kill her for it either...

This is one aggravating quest. My wife and I started it and were about 2/3rds of the way through with escorting him to Steamwheedle Port. My wife was on her mount clearing the way and I was just running on foot so that Tooga could keep up. My wife got too far ahead of us and was informed that she had "failed the quest" because she lost Tooga.

This is a quest that requires you to focus and maintain a lot of situational awareness. Resist the urge to put on speed enhancing buffs...Tooga can only keep up with you for short distances. Avoid mobs when you can. For my Hunter the quest rewards were a little lackluster, but if you're a spellcaster you'll likely enjoy the quest rewards offered. Enjoy!

Soloed at lvl 45 (druid). As long as you can get out of Thistleshrub Valley alive it's pretty easy. I only aggroed one of the Thistleshrubs, they're not that hard to avoid :) 5900 exp.

we were able to get 3900 exp each and the items are a ring with 140 armor (sells for 20 silver) and then cuffs - mail - 4 stamina and 10 intellect (worth 86 silvers) on Gilneas.

This quest gets easier and easier as it goes along. You find Tooga near Thistleshrub valley.. the mobs in this area are 48-49. But by the time you near steamwheelde, the mobs are down to 40-42 or so and it's a cakewalk.

It should be easy to do within 30 minutes.

I finished with nine to spare and I think I was going a bit slowly, more so than necessary.

I soloed this as a 47 Druid. I found him at the end of Thistleshrub valley when I was doing the other Thistleshrub quests (laden dew gland and the Thistleshrub exploration one).

I just cleared out the mobs at the entrance to the valley, then started the quest. One shrub aggroed us on the way out, but like everyone says, when you get into the desert, he follows you (don't ride a mount or get too far ahead of him). Since he follows you, and there is plenty of time on the time, you can avoid aggroing the mobs in the desert.

I just took him up to Gadget then took the road across from there.

A fun quest, a good reward for a feral druid, and decent xp. If only more quests could be like this! :)

OMG these q SUCKS! I was allmost at the beach when Tooga just stopped walking on and was just standing at the same place till alst 2min that's when i went to torta myself and than failed q...I HATE these damn bugs :S

Soloed at lvl 45 (druid). As long as you can get out of Thistleshrub Valley alive it's quite easy. I only aggroed one of the Thistleshrubs, it's not that hard to avoid them :) 5900 exp @ lvl 45.

Just have to be carefull and run between mobs without aggroing.. Very fun quest to do early for a Feral Druid. EXP Reward was 5900

This quest is long alright, but it is not that hard; unlike most escort quests, you don't deal with spare spawns above and beyond the wanderers, so it is easily soloable at appropriate levels. As an added bonus, Tooga and the Tooga/Torta dialog are some of the more amusing writing in the game. Do it, and remember Tooga and Torta fondly as you travel the beach and massacre hundreds of their cousins for their turtle scale resource ;-)

So easy. Soloed as 49 Rogue on mount. I trained mobs and so did he but not one attack except a rootshaper in the very begining. That was it.

How long does it take for him to respawn? I got too far away from him the first time I tried to do this quest, and I failed it. I went back to get the quest again and he wasn't there. An hour later, he still hadn't shown up.

easy quest - takes 10 minutes including dealing with agro on the way to Steamweadle Port, this quest is soooo simple but its a trek, one corner of the map to the other, Tortas' words at the end of it made it worth doing when i laughed at how much of a !@#$% she is and how devoted to her he is, love is deffinately blind, and if not, Tooga is...

I just completed the quest with 21 minutes left on the quest timer (that started at 30 minutes). I even stopped a couple times to skin dead animals left by others.

Since he follows you - it is your fault if you aggro. i did not have to attack a single mob to complete this. The couple mobs that aggrod the turtle were no big deal since if i kept running, so did the turtle, and nothing was going to stop him or bring him down in the slightest.

Tooga just followed me, no problem.

It's a long walk (+/- 15 minutes), with no difficult part.
Just avoid the crowded places.

I had 8500 experience at lvl 52.

This ring is the 2nd best so far in the game for alliance feral druids. 120 armor in bear form actually equals 432 more so 552 total from this ring.

Can someone explain how the respawn on this quest works? I'm supposed to wait until whoever is doing the quest walks all the way across Tanaris, and then however more for it to spawn again? Wouldn't this make the quest pretty much impossible to do?

Not to mention if someone decides to take their sweet time running around with it for hours.

I'm pretty sure Tooga is bugged. I've been sat here for over 35 minutes and still no sign of him, even if somebody afked with him until they ran out the quest timer he should have respawned by now.

Edit: After over an hour of waiting I gave up. Sorry Tooga, you are doomed to wander the desert forever.

If someone else is doing the quest, he isn't at the quest location because he's literally running across Tanaris. By the time I'd gotten my Laden Dew Gland, he'd returned. Note that he doesn't path like a normal 'escort' quest; he follows you wherever you go!

I recommend doing this quest last, when you've reached level 50 or so. That will make it easier to avoid trash, which is less likely to aggro on you.

This quest cannot be completed in a group. Only the first character in the group that picks up Tooga gets completion credit, even if they share the quest (or everyone picks it up at the exact same time).

I just tried to complete this quest with a multibox team of 5, so I can be certain that every character accepted the quest from Tooga at the exact same time plus a few milliseconds for lag. Only the party lead got credit for the quest.

For anyone like me who was hoping to pick up his quest, do the quests around where he spawns, then hearth back to Gad and take an easy trip over to the Port, hearthing will instantly fail this quest.

Spawns either inside Thistleshrub valley (far north side, or along east side of hill in middle of valley) Also has a spawn point closer to 33, 71 near that broken down Zepplin.

Easy escort -- true escort quest where you only engage mobs you want to engage. So you can just grind in a straight line, or you can avoid. Just remember he has a level 45 aggro range. Your biggest danger will be other players

He does NOT go any faster if you mount. If you attack a mob first and he has to run to catch up and help you fight, he resets back to where he aggro'd after you kill mob so just keep an eye on him. This means do NOT try to kite a mob towards the destination, otherwise it's even further he will run back and you may get out of range.

**If doing this as a group, you can individually fail this by getting out of proximity of him. We had a guy who was like "i'll run ahead and clear a path" and he failed it**

Heads up. If you're looking at Tooga and no option to get the quest its likely because you've already got a quest timer running. Cannot get the quest while doing something else w/ a timer!

This quest is bugged in Classic. While escorting him, I attacked and killed an enemy bot that was killing a basilisk. Tooga attacked the basilisk, and when I killed the bot the basilisk reset and Tooga vanished, and I failed the quest. So if you are going to escort him on a pvp realm, be careful.

Tooga is the best NPC to escort (apart from the distance).

He doesn't charge ahead.
He doesn't wander off.
He attacks what you attack (not that he does much damage).
He doesn't aggro easily.
He doesn't have ambush spawns.

Can be done at the same time as the robo-chicken escort quest. Pick this quest up first before heading over to start escort. Haven't tested it in a group.

Good Lord, I had forgotten how awful this quest was...

Having to get this slowass all across the Tanaris map is definitely not worth a measly 8.5k EXP, considering the fact that the quest is instantly failed if you so much as move a little too far away from him.

Beware, Tooga has multiple spawn points. So, don't wait at one spawn point forever, keep trying to find Tooga.

A few spawn points:

/way 29 60
/way 30 65
/way 31 74

If you are doing this quest before level 50, be cautious, there will be mobs around level 48 through the path, including where Tooga spawns.
Although Its perfectly fine to do solo before level 50, you have to be very careful. I would suggest doing in a group as the quest can take a long time to complete,.
Don't get aggro and don't run Tooga through the mobs.

For anyone planning on pre-stacking this quest for phase 3 of SOD, this IS a good quest to stack. I was able to solo this at level 40 in half Gnomeregan BiS as a DW enhancement shaman. This would be much tougher to solo as a caster, as most of the mobs near Tooga's spawn and on the southern end of Tanaris are 46-50. I did my absolute best to avoid mobs at all costs, taking the longer way when needed, and probably only had to kill 3-4. Take extra care when Tooga enters combat, as he will reset back to his original position, so try not to kite if you can help it; ending up too far from his original position will cause you to fail the quest. There is a timer on this quest, but as long as you get to Torta before the time is up, you can let the clock run down to 0 and still successfully turn in the quest. I was worried that if I didn't turn it in, I would fail and have to do it over again, but was able to confirm that once the quest is complete, the timer no longer matters.

For SoD P3 the timer can run out once you have completed the quest. You will still be able to turn it in and speed ur way to lv 50.
