Start putting out the fire on the cart as soon as you see it. Otherwise the azsharite will blow up before you reach the destination.

I believe there are two references to TF2 (Team Fortress 2) in this quest.

First, the big Goblin says "We must push little cart!" when he wheels it along. When playing a Cart map in TF2, the Heavy will periodically say this when the cart stops.

The second reference is in the text as you end it; Assistant Greely refers to Azharite as;

"Azharite is a complex mystery wrapped in a velvety enigma of danger."

The description for the spy class reads as follows;

"He is a puzzle, wrapped in an enigma, shrouded in riddles, lovingly sprinkled with intrigue, express mailed to Mystery, Alaska, and LOOK OUT BEHIND YOU! But it is too late. You're dead. For he is the Spy — globetrotting rogue, lady killer (metaphorically) and mankiller (for real). "

It may not be a direct homage to the Spy, but that was the first thought that popped into my head when I read it.

Edit: bah... they hotfixed the item so that it will only work in the zone.

Segmentation Fault
In short, Segmentation fault is an error caused when programs try to access memory zones they are not allowed to.

Core Dump
Core dump is some program's state record.

It's common that when OS gives a Segmentation fault to any process, it will also save the state of the process (perform a Core Dump), should be reviewed later. Therefore, the error given is "Segmentation Fault: Core Dumped"

My cart was on fire the entire time. A smart thing to do is put the quest item on a hotkey and just keep spamming it every time you stop one just run up right behind the big goblin and press it again, and repeat. I didn't have any issue with it overheating this way.

It's easy to miss the flames on the moving wagon, since you have to stand still to use the Fireliminator X-21. Running just ahead of the wagon before using the Fireliminator worked great for me.

The secret of this quest is that the fire extinguisher has to channel for about a second to have any effect, whether it's on lab fires, lab workers on fire, or overheating azsharite. So if you hit the button then immediately start running you're accomplishing nothing and will fail.

The easy way to tell if you're doing it right is, the goblin will comment about getting wet. If you don't see the comments you're not staying put long enough.

This quest seems to be many references in one.

It's also a reference to nuclear reactor cores and how they have to be cooled (the process requires lots and lots of water as well as other coolants) to avoid a meltdown.

Funny thing is, later in the azsharite chain, Dr. Grapplehammer tries to weaponize it...

Even though it's been stated before, the Hulking Labgoblin's "WE MUST PUSH LITTLE CART" is a direct reference to Team Fortress 2's "Heavy Class".

You need to let the casting animation complete for the cart to stop being on fire/overheating. Moving your character before the casting animation completes causes the cart to be on fire for longer, and will eventually make you fail the quest. I thought for some reason that shooting and running half-way through would work, but it doesn't recognize that the Fireliminator X-21 was used.

I was curious what would happen if I left the azsharite to overheat, because the previous quest stated that the "whole place is gonna blow itself to Outland" unless I "decouple" the core from the sumps or whatever. So I left the cart full of the thing to go critical and walked by it. I was verydissatisfied when it only hit me for 200 dmg. ;\ Expected half the zone to vanish or even the planet to go in pieces, but hey - goblins tend to be a little overdramatic sometimes.

Edit: Just did some more quests and got to and I'd like to put a quote from it:

If my calculations are correct, it will detonate with enough force to level a city.

If I'm wrong, we may cleave the planet in two.

They just exaggerate the stuff. That thing was not even able to kill me! Come to think of it... It won't even scratch end lvl characters.

Trying to do this in Travel Form (and probably the other shapeshift forms) gives the warning "Requires Opposable Thumbs."

just 6 out of the 1st 20 comments actually have something useful (in varying degrees) to say about the actual quest, Wowhead has become just another "general chat" channel.

Reading through all the useless chatter sometimes takes more time than redoing the quest a few times.

I failed this many times cause I wasn't paying attention. Key is to let the Fireliminator complete it's spell to put out the fire. I just kept moving and wondering why it wasn't putting out the fire.
