Enter the Dor'Danil Barrow Den and you will see red glowing dots on the floor. These lead the way to the Forest Heart, which is a big brown spiky egg shaped thing suspended in mid air. It's in the middle of one of the platforms with pathways off it. See the screenshot.

Make sure to stay clear of the Alliance NPC, Gaivan Shadewalker, on your way into the den.

After I died trying to take him on, I realized I was PvP tagged (non-PvP server). I might have been tagged beforehand, making him aggresive to me. Might explain why he didn't attack others, as they may have not been tagged.

I got WRECKED by him. I saw him, didn't notice the elite tag (unit frames I have make it hard to notice, still my fault though.) I got him down to probably 70-75% and then my pet went byebye. I guess I could have tried to kite him but theres so much other stuff around that I would have pulled that it wouldn't have been worth it.

As Dawnraid said, look for the little + on your minimap when you get near the co ords. Also, when the blood drops inside the cave end do not (I repeat DO NOT) jump down the bottom of the platform.

The heart was directly above my head so I didn't see it initially.

Started this quest with only the original game and no expansions, and when I got to the heart, I just got a floating white and blue grid cube that I couldn't interact with. Very frustrating, you can only complete this quest if you have the expansions.

the alliance gets to restore the heart after the horde character corrupts it.

If u are on a raid party u cant use the item on hearth.
